Atop a lonely hill in the world of Pokémon, there stood a stone arch.
Nobody knew who built it. Nobody knew where it had come from. Nobody knew what it was for. Yet it stood there for centuries, silently keeping watch over the land around it. However...
One fateful night, a bright light appeared in the sky. It took the shape of a shooting star, blazing brightly enough to light the land with its luminance. The star fell, fell, fell...and landed atop the hill. An earth-rocking explosion filled the night. Witnesses described the hill bursting with flames. They say that ten lights flew from the knoll, escaping and flying away towards the corners of the continent.
The next morning, four of the greatest leaders of the world made a journey to the hill that had been visited so many times before, never changing until now.
The arch lay in ruins, smoldering from the remnants of the impact. Laying where the center of the structure had been, was a dark, worn green chest. Upon opening, the only object inside was the casing of a book, with only one page.
The tome described a wonderful object, the Chest of Origin. This chest was told to possess unrivaled powers. It was hidden in the most secret of locations, known only to the one who guarded it and the brave soul who had managed to compile this journal. It said that the pages were scattered over the world, and any who wished to recover them should brave the wilds to find them.
But the report stops there.
Quickly, the four returned to their respective Guilds and mounted an expedition. They are preparing to search for the pages of the book at this moment. They have cojointly created the Explorer's Union, an association committed to finding and protecting this sacred treasure.
The news of this development has spread across the land, and several marauding groups have already dispatched Pokémon bandits to recover the pieces. Time grows shorter with each passing day.
And then...they appeared.
Random Pokémon, claiming to have been humans, but not remembering anything other than that and their names. Their stories have spread across the land, overturning Rescue and Exploration teams like beehives.
And that's why we need you. The Chest has a hidden power, perhaps the ability to restore the memories of these lost souls. Should you choose to help, you will be directed to serve under one of the four Guildmasters to assist in the search. There is only one requirement: Be ready for anything.
