In the floating continent, there is a magic source that keeps the land in air. The secret is thought to be hidden in the Forest of Silence where a lone girl is said to live in the heart of the deadly maze. No one has come back alive once entering into the forest, so the rumors are not comfirmed. However the story that is told often goes like this: There is a mansion inhabited by the girl and an alien whose UFO crashed in the girl's tree house due to her strong magnetic power caused by her will to pull them in. She held the alien captive in her dungeon, and made him tell her stories of his home planet every afternoon. The lonely girl soon opened her house to anyone who wandered into the heart of the forest and kept them captive/guests to ease her boredom and loneliness. To this day no one knows who her ancestors are, or who created the mansion, named Kuroneko after the symbol of bad luck.
