Founded in 1993 by Stian Thoresen (Shagrath), Sven Atle Kopperud (Erkekjetter Silenoz), and Kenneth Åkesson (Tjodalv), Dimmu Borgir would leave an imprint on the metal world with its booming success with their first underground album, Inn I Evighetens Mørke, and their first producer edited album, For All Tid.
After a decade, the band would still be moving head-strong into the fast paced competition; and is still one of the most well known bands in its genre.
