Our Star Trek guild is prospering and it's all thanks to you (and the brand new Star Trek movie that is - at this very moment - converting other young people to the wonderful world of Star Trek for the first time). We have quizzes, polls, convention details, and just a bunch of other random trivia to excite any Trekkie or casual fan! This guild will slowly be dedicated to Star Trek more and more so stay tuned!
Due to the differing interests of the guild owners, this guild is dedicated to a variety of topics, each with their own forum. First off, the fascinating condition known as synesthesia! I, myself, have a kind of synesthesia so I have experience. My fellow moderators are knowledgeable in this field as well.
Synesthesia literally means mixed senses; and for good reason! One kind of synesthesia is where hearing a sound creates colors that you literally see in your vision. For example, when I hear a plane passing overhead, I see a spotted lime green line in the top right corner of my sight. It's really quite entertaining and I'm often spacing out watching the different colors. (Right now the sound of my typing is dark red squares xP).
Another kind of synesthesia that I have is the colored letters and numbers. All of the letters I have written on this page have their own color to me. So, where you see black font, I see multicolored.
Part of this guild will be a support group, a test to see if you might have synesthesia, and a place where non-synesthesietes can see what color certain words or even their names are.
This is also an anime guild, too so feel free to post in those threads as well. Our members are fanatics in this field, from animes like FMA and OHSHC to their original mangas.
In the joining process, please simply state why you want to join and - if here for synesthesia - whether or not you have the condition. If you're here for Star Trek or anime, just list your favorite series or show and your favorite character respectively. That's not too hard, is it? xD
