Which Side Will You Choose?

In a post-apocalyptic time on Earth, a battle between angels and demons is being waged. The number of humans has declined dramatically since the apocalypse as many fight to survive. All over the world, people are dying of starvation and getting caught in the crossfire in the war between the Holy and Unholy beings that now roam not only their original planes, but the earth as well, and now the two races are recruiting humans to fight in their Biblical war.

The Angels

Abandoned by their Father, Lord, Master, and Creator, the angels have been left to fend for themselves. Their current leader is the archangel Micheal, who seeks to eradicate all demons along with his brother Lucifer and Hell itself. Like their leader, most angels feel as though the demons are wretched, unclean, and unholy beasts who are nothing but a thorn in their sides and the cause of everything wrong with the world. Since the day Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge, the angels believed that demons, as well as their king, have been the cause of humanity's corruption and will only recruit those few devout who have truly followed the will and word of God. However, like in any war, there are some who would rather remain neutral in the war or would rather fight alongside with the "Emperor of Hell" as they feel that their own kind is far more corrupt than the demons or humans ever were.

The Demons

Led by their Fallen Lord and Master, the demons grew sick of the oppression that has been forced upon them by the angels since time immemorial and have decided to fight back against those ones who call themselves "Servants of God." The demons have been rebelling against the angels since Lucifer took to the throne and the apocalypse was the final piece of puzzle they needed to begin their great revolution. No longer will they be beaten down by the mighty hammer of faith that gave the angels their sway over Hell. No longer would they allow themselves to submit to such discrimination by their Holy counterparts. No longer would they remain caged in Hell like rabid animals. The time had come for them to rule, and once they won the war, rule they shall. However, like some angels, some demons choose not to partake in what they believe to be a "pointless effort of rebellion." They much prefer to wander the world to observe and experience those things that they could not do in Hell that they could now do on Earth. However, they still have faith in their Emperor and refuse to side with the angels as they still wish to see those beings of light fail.

The Humans

Before the apocalypse happened, the humans were as they always were: ever advancing technologically, and ever oblivious spiritually (except, of course, for those who have dabbled in magic). Then, the war began, and the need to survive was upon them. Thousands of people died within the span of a decade, and the number of casualties has continued to rise. One hundred and sixty years have passed. The human race is all but extinct as they fight to survive. Colonies have been formed all over the world in order to better their chances of survival and some have aligned with either the angels or the demons while others remained neutral so as to protect the human race. Technology is no longer a privilege, but an asset as now they must be continuously improving their equipment and weaponry in order to protect themselves from the crossfire of either of the great races.

The Apocalypse

In the beginning of the apocalypse, there first came the breaking of the seals. The start of the war was after the first seal was broken and when the first of the Four Horsemen, the white horse, Conquest, appeared. For a time, there were a number of unexplained disturbances throughout the world. Then, the third seal was broken, and so came the second Horseman, the red horse, War, who scoured the planet creating horrific battles left and right. After was the fifth seal in which the third Horseman, the black horse, Famine, was released, and with it he tipped the balance of luxury, sustenance, and pride. Crops and livestock died of mysterious causes, businesses went bankrupt, and much of the upper-class citizens of the world dropped three social classes. Then, finally, the second to the last of the seven seals was broken, and thus the fourth and final Horseman, the pale horse, Death, was released into the world, where he lifted the dead from the Earth and made them walk once again, and later carved the souls from thousands of people in order to fulfill his duties during the apocalypse. However, the calamity was not over, for there was still the very last of the seven seals that was yet to be broken, but when it finally was, the gates of Hell were opened and millions upon thousands of demons rose from the fiery pit in order to begin their great revolution against the angels, who, in turn, soared from heaven to strike down the Unholy creatures from below. And thus, the apocalypse began.

The planet fell to ruins, and the war tipped the scale of the balance between the Divine (both good and bad) and the human world. Mortified, the humans attempted to fight back against both immortal races but to no avail as they were beaten down by their strength and inhuman power and abilities. Over the century, millions died by the hand of fate, and they now fight to survive in a world of ruins and blood. Now, you must choose. Are you a servant of Heaven, a creature of Hell, or a child of Earth? You decide.
