When 15-year old Eva Wei breaks out of her boarding school to find her father who hasn't seen or talked to her in the 10 years since her mother's death, she finds that he doesn't even recognize her. But she's not about to let him ditch her again when he is called by the president to compete in the biggest race in the galaxy, the Great Race of Oban. Following along as a stowaway mechanic by the name of Molly, Eva soon finds herself in the middle of the fight for the Ultimate Prize, told to be any wish given at the vast powers of the Avatar, the master of the galaxy. It seems that everyone has their own reasons for seeking the prize, but one thing is for sure; if the prize were to fall into the wrong hands, it could mean a big change in the standings of power in the galaxy.
