We are a guild devoted to roleplayers; who are here for fun, hanging out, and finding people who share similar interests in story writing.

This guild is for well written people who understand that we arn't just playing a part in a story (be it a large or small part) but that we are authors. And though we write primarily for our own enjoyment, we know that there is also a certain amount of professional etiquette during In Character and Out of Character interactions; something that is often lacking in Barton Town.

Though we are not exclusively a literate guild, we encourage all members to write to the best of their ability. This means to avoid any kind of chatspeak, at least while in character.

To avoid confusion; Chatspeak is considered replacing letters, words or sections of words with numbers ('Are you 4 real?' 'I'll see you L8er.') Shortening words to 'save time' ('I'll C U later.') And lacking any punctuation ('Ill see you later').

For more information on literacy levels please see second post of The Rules Masterlist.

We are also friendly to people who are new, or inexperienced at roleplaying:

To try and make things more simple there is a Roleplaying Dictonary with many (if not all) terms roleplayers often use, and abbreviations where applicable. And a link to an online thesaurus for those of us who find ourselves using the same descriptive words over and over.
