In the year 2025, a group of archaeologists discovered something deep inside the Rocky Mountains. It was a massive ruin and deep inside of it was something like nothing they have ever seen. A massive chamber full of crystals of all kinds of colors. The men studied the chamber for weeks on end and came up with nothing.
Finally, after all the time of studying, they triggered something inside of the ruin that sent pulses of energy throughout the land. For months, no one knew what had happened. Everything had a slightly different feel to it all. It wasn't much longer before they had discovered what happened. Some people had gain the ability to tap into the elements of the world. Fire, earth, water, ice, wind, and lightning.
For the next couple of months, the president of the United States was tampering with this new power that had came along the world. After he thought he had finally attained max control over these elemental powers, their was an accident almost right on the Oklahoma/Texas border. The resulting explosion devastated the landscape, shifting it and changing it into a new land.
Immediately after this, the president outlawed the use of this energy that had gained the name 'magite'. Most people followed this law but some went against it, continuing to study the energies. They continued to study it until finally, they made their first move. They attacked several military bases in the changed area of the United States. Doing this triggered a war between modern soldiers and these magite users.
This war quickly claimed the name The Time Wars and spread out amongst several states including Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and portions of the other surrounding states. At first, the military was winning, being able to use their weapons to slam on the opposition before they got anywhere close enough to use their magite. The man who had assumed the position of leader for the magite forces noticed this and decided he needed a plan and fast.
He decided that his best bet was to use the purest of the crystals in the mine to try and turn the tide of the war. Upon their activation, their energies obliterated mass armies, shattering the morale of the American forces and bringing a swift end to the war. The leader was happy that the war had ended. Within just days after the war, he declared a decree that outlawed anyone to travel within the boundaries of the Old World# cities. Right after that, he finally gave his lands a name. The New Lands#. With this, he broke it up into several smaller Lands, each adopting their own name and Empire.
