Have you ever wanted to hang out with (torment...) your favorite FMA characters? Have you ever wanted to join the Amestris Military, be a State Alchemist, plain-old alchemist, homunculus, or even just a soldier?

Well, then...

The Dogs of the Military welcome you!

Here you will find inside jokes between the beloved military men that we all adore (such as Roy Mustang and Edward Elric) and see how our soldiers survive each day at Headquarters. There is comedy, and some drama, but a lot of comedy that will sure cure people's sadness (you would like that, right?).

Is that all there is to this? Well, I beg to differ.

(You don't think that it all revolves around just that, right?)

There will be some good amount of renovations, but all the while, make yourself at home.

As for applications, I would like:
(1) Who is joining
(2) Why you want to join
(3) An RP sample
(4) What you expect to see in the future about this guild

Guild's rules on roleplaying (including Gaia's TOS):
(1) NO GOD-MODDING!!!!
(2) RPs written in third-person POV
(3) Language at PG-13; romance is fine but can't exceed PG-13
(4) Please be active
(5) HAVE FUN!!!

This is a semi-literate/literate rp guild. You can talk about Fullmetal Alchemist here in general, but you'd rather join in and be a soldier to actually talk to the military dogs and irritate them. ^_^ Please be nice when you decide to do so, however. OC are welcome, but we would also like to have the FMA military dogs and others to make it fun.

We are in need of members! This guild is ready for join requests!

A short history:

Edward and Alphonse Elric are two alchemist brothers searching for the legendary Philosopher's Stone, a powerful object which would allow them to recover their bodies (which were lost in an attempt to bring their mother back to life through alchemy). Born in the village of Resembool from the country of Amestris, the two brothers live there with their parents. Their father, Hohenheim, leaves home for unknown reasons and years later, their mother, Trisha Elric, dies of a terminal illness leaving the Elric brothers alone. After their mother's death, Edward becomes determined to bring her back through the use of alchemy, an advanced science in which objects can be created from raw materials. They research Human Transmutation, a forbidden art in which one attempts to create or modify a human being. However, this attempt fails, ultimately resulting in the loss of Edward's left leg and Alphonse's entire body. In a desperate effort to save his brother, Edward sacrifices his right arm to affix Alphonse's soul to a suit of armor. Some days later, an alchemist named Roy Mustang visits the Elric brothers, and he tells Edward to become a member of the State Military of the country to find a way to recover their bodies. After that, Edward's left leg and right arm are replaced with automail, a type of advanced prosthetic limb, created for him by his close family friends Winry Rockbell and her grandmother Pinako.

Edward sets out to become a State Alchemist, an alchemist employed by the State Military of Amestris, which infamously annihilated much of the neighboring country of Ishbal's population in the past decade. Becoming a State Alchemist enables Edward to use the extensive resources available to State Alchemists, but it also turns him into what they call a "dog of the military". His more friendly relationship with Roy Mustang however, whom he reports to and who recruited him, allows the brothers freedom to search for the Philosopher's Stone as part of Edward's research, as each State Alchemist is expected to independently research new things which may be of a use to the State Military of Amestris. The brothers set off in search of the Philosopher's Stone as a means to restore their bodies. Throughout their journey, they meet many antagonists, including those who are willing to do anything to obtain the Philosopher's Stone.

Our guild starts its setting in November, 1911. The roleplay timeline follows that of the first anime, but the actual story line of the guild will depend on the development of the characters.

If you wish to be a part of the military, please turn in an application to the Front Desk.

An important part of our guild is the ranking of our OC characters. Ranks will have to be earned and then maintained. In order for this to be fair, the original characters will have to start as enlisted and can earn up their ranks accordingly. As they get higher in the chain of command, the more they must do in order to keep their position.

There will be a few exempted due to State Alchemy Exams. Look under our Military Ranking System to familiar yourself with the structure.
