It's 2089. A powerful medical company(like Umbrella) Called Opacation Inc. has created a cure for everything! Wrinkles, Old Age...They have even made a cancer cell virus which kills ALL cancerous cells. The governments appraised those involved, and kept away from the forthcoming scandal.
But as time went on and more money was being made from their products, things...turned from better to worse. People were deteriorating. They began groaning and hungered for flesh.
The comapny eventually went into bankrupcy and no cure was found.
Only a special serum called Genesis could reverse the effects, but only if applied in time. Only a few serums were found, many were lost in the process
A single bite or scratch meant that you were infected and then soon, you would end up possibly killing the ones you loved. Depression became inevitable and survivors roam in hope of finding some sort of home. Many of those dreams were shattered.
For the survivors...they knew that the best way to survive..was to run. The story takes place in St.Petersberg, Russia. Good Luck on your Travels.
