Welcome to Cydonian Dream, the official Gaia Guild for all things X-COM! Whether you take up arms against the Aliens or rain destruction upon the feeble Humans, this guild will serve all your X-COM needs during your stay in Gaia. This Guild features gameplay tips from the classics like UFO Defense to the next generation games like Interceptor, fan game discussion on all the spinoffs and rebuilds, advice and tactics from seasoned operatives and even a roleplay with a unique flavor to it! We even offer discussion and advice for the 2012 Firaxis series reboot! Users are encouraged to post their tales of both success and failure here so new recruits can learn how to be more effective operatives and commanders. Speak freely about the games and fanmade builds, how you think they'll fare and what your speculation is about their viability.

The Captain does have a few rules about joining the ranks of these elite warriors, however. Pay careful attention when you request, or you may not be inducted...


1. No netspeak or leetspeak! It's a pain to read and highly annoying. Any requests using such dialects will be immediately discarded.
2. Use proper capitalization and grammar when you submit your request, or it will be denied. If you join, also know that this rule is in place when you make posts, or you will be sacked.
3. Get your homonyms and your homophones correct, too. There IS a difference between "your" and "you're." Overuse of incorrect homophones/homonyms will get you denied or sacked.
4. Give your reasons for joining! This helps us to see if you're serious about joining the guild.
5. Remember that the games were programmed in the United Kingdom, and as such, you'll see a lot of odd looking words. That would be British English, so no attacking others for not using the American style.

There is no fee to join this Guild. Remember that if you are denied, it isn't the end of the world. Unless your first request was particularly horrific, you will have ample opportunity to reapply. Also, know that a background check regarding your posting history will be performed by either the Captain or a Crew Member before you are allowed into the Guild or denied access.
