Our History...
The Equestrians of Gaia, also known as EoG, sprung from the simple need for a guild on Gaia for
horse-lovers. We needed a place to assemble, to discuss, to share ideas, and to talk about things
people outside the horse world didn't understand. We needed to find people with the same love
and interest in horses, and that's what EoG is all about.
EoG was created on October 13th, 2004, making it the first-established horse guild on Gaia.
Our Purpose...
EoG is simply a place for all horse-lovers to gather. We accept those who own horses and those
who do not. If you love horses, you have a place here at EoG. Whether you are new to the horse
world or are a long-time veteran, the Equestrians of Gaia is always looking for new faces to meet.
That is our purpose. To find those who share the same love of horses we have, and give them a
personal invitation into our group of members.
Our Owner...
A little bit about myself. I am the guild owner, and also the creator of EoG. I have been involved
with horses since I was 6 years old, making it a wonderful 13 years I have been a horse-lover.
I started out taking riding lessons, and soon became a horse-owner myself. My background is
mainly non-competitive Dressage, but currently I am a pleasure/trail rider. I own a great little Quarter Horse
mare named Joy, who I love very much. I also like to think I'm a pretty friendly person (you can
ask the guild members on that!), so if you have any questions about EoG, feel free to PM me at any time.
Our Accomplishments...
- As stated in 'Our History', Equestrians of Gaia is the oldest horse guild on Gaia. We opened
on October 13th 2004, making this guild nearly four years old.
- We are also the largest horse guild on Gaia, with currently around 650 members, and a grand total of approximately 29,000 posts. eek heart
- Thanks to our small entry fee as well as donations from generous members of the guild,
we have been able to afford plenty of subforums. We have the largest number of
subforums out of all the horse guilds, including: Advice & Questions, English & Western Riding, Member Diaries/Logs,
Off-topic Chat, Beginner's Corner, Horse Art/Photos, RPGs (Role Play Games), Health & Grooming subforum.
- Due to a careful selection process of new members, our ban list is minimal.
EoGers are chosen because they are kind, respectful, and always open-minded
and willing to learn.
To Join...
So, you would like to become a member of the Equestrians of Gaia? Great! Our policies on new
members is simple and I will try and make it clear as possible.
We have a 50 gold entrance fee, that is AUTOMATICALLY deducted from your account upon
acceptance into the guild. You needn't open up a trade with me or any guild moderator to pay
the fee. Also, I request you include a small statement (minimum 3 sentences) of why you would
like to join EoG. It can be something as simple as why you love horses, or something complex as a
certain story about a 'horsy encounter' that inspired you to love horses. Also, PLEASE NOTE, chatspeak
of any sort will not be acceptable. Please try and use proper spelling and grammar. Thank you. smile

Guild Updates...
June 2009: Hello everyone!!! I am going to try and one again take on some active leadership of this Guild, after quite a few years of absence. I will also be considering taking on a moderator to help me maintain EoG. I want to also personally thank all members who have stayed loyal to EoG for so long. You are VERY appreciated. smile
