EDIT: I've taken ownership of this Guild, with permission from Leonardo Mystic. For the time being, nothing is going to change. It is still a closed guild officially. However, the guild does have a long history and I did not want anything lost.

CLOSED

As painful as it is for me to say, this guild is now closed. I will cherish the memories this place made over the years. It is time to move on.

Welcome to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Guild. smile The official guild of Gaia dedicated to our ninja loving Turtles. Countless of you know the story, but I shall retell it.

Broken free from a little boy's glass jar, four baby pet turtles are swept away into the sewers. They are followed by a canister of an unknown substance. The canister smashes open upon the little turtles, and they are bathed in a glowing green ooze.

A rat by the name of Splinter finds the baby turtles, and takes pity on them, gathering them up in a rusted coffee can. In the process, he is also covered by the strange ooze. Literally overnight, the ooze suddenly begins to do strange things to them, changing their bodies, and they are mutated into humanoid beings.

They soon gain the ability to speak, walk upright, and become intellectual. Splinter adopts the Turtles as his sons. Knowing society would shun them because for what they are, he teaches and disciplines them in ninjitsu; the way of the ninja.

From a discarded book fished from the sewers on Renaissance art, he gave them each their own names: Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo. They each have a unique colored mask and a ninjitsu weapon that pertains to their identities. Leonardo was blue and double Katana, Raphael red and double Sai, Donatello purple and Bo Staff, and Michelangelo orange and Nunchucku. Together, they fought to stop Shredder and all evil, and thus, the TMNT was born.

TMNT first got its start as a comic book series in the early 1980s by artists Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. From such humble beginnings, it soon became a huge success.

In the late 1980s, early '90s, it was introduced to television as a cartoon series. This created a storm of turtle loving frenzy everywhere; action figures, stuffed toys, clothes, bedding, video games, and even an arcade game. Anything you could name, the Turtles were there. Three live action movies were made as well.

This frenzy finally died off in the middle '90s. All but a precious few forgot about the TMNT and it became just a distant childhood memory.

Then in Spring 2003, a new series was made, but this time it would be based more on its original comic book start. And like its earlier cartoon debut, the fire for TMNT was stoked once more. Creating new lines of toys, clothes, bedding, activities, video games, and more. Even a fourth, CGI movie was made in 2007.

This guild is dedicated to these four butt-kicking, fun-loving, pizza-eating Turtles.
