What is the GCDSG?'
The GCDSG is a game of lying, cheating, treachery, betrayal, alliances, community, friendship, chaos, gore, humor, and fun.
Our original home was the GCD.
The storyline took place in the GCD, and the players were referred to as GCDers.
However, the game's discussion was too off-topic for the GCD, so Zaeyde willingly moved it to a guild.
The 'D' was sniped!
So now, we're the GCDSG, or the GCSG!
But how does it work?
Well, it's quite simple. The Sniper and Killer kill people and the Gaians that could also be the Sniper or Killer vote them off, but they don't know who they are so they have to guess, and then the newsreporter gets a clue except they can't really tell anyone and the G-Teamers protect people but they could be protecting the killers and then when the Gaians vote off the two killers they win.
What, that didn't make sense?
-Ok, let me break it down. ;D-
First, I will explain the different positions in the game.
Each game, the positions of people are chosen completely randomly.
Positions
Gaian
The Gaian is the position everyone is assumed to have. Everyone in the Game is a Gaian. Gaians are innocent. They don't kill, they don't protect, they don't get clues. The Sniper, Crazed Killer, and probably G-Team Members and Newsreporter (I'll get to them next) all want everyone to think they are Gaians.
Sniper and Crazed Killer
The Sniper and the Crazed Killer serve the same purpose: Kill the Gaians. Kill the Newsreporter. And kill the G-Team Members.
The only difference between the two is their method of killage. The Sniper snipes, and the Crazed Killer... Finds more interesting methods.
These two characters want to convince the rest of the players that they are just Gaians.
Newsreporter
The Newsreporter recieves a clue about the Sniper or Crazed Killer each round. Whether or not they share this clue is up to them; sharing it could be risking being killed, or could be helping catch the killers.
G-Team Members
There are two G-Team Members each round. They each choose one person each round to protect from being killed.
Now that you know about each of the positions, I'll explain how the game works.
How It Works
Each round, all participants that have not been killed will vote for whom they believe to be the Sniper. Voting has, in the past, taken place in Zaeyde's journal, but will now take place in separate topics within the guild.
Two new topics for voting will be made and stickied for each round. At the end of the round, the topics will be locked and left to drift to the bottom. They will not be deleted, just in case they need to be referenced.
Once the voting has been completed (Usually, there is a time deadline for voting) the votes will be tallied.
Whoever gets the most votes will be voted off, and removed from the game.
The people voted off are known as Jailbirds. These people will continue to vote! They will, however, vote separately from the rest of the GCDers. Thus, two people will be jailed per round.
While voting is taking place, several other things will happen.
The Sniper and Crazed Killer will each inform the GameMaster(GM) of whom they wish to kill.
The Newsreporter will ask the GM for a clue about the Sniper, Crazed Killer, G-Team Member 1, or G-Team Member 2. The GM will then ask the chosen person for a clue. This person must provide some sort of clue to be sent to the Newsreporter that gives a hint about their identity. They must PM it to the GM, and the GM will PM it to the Newsreporter.
Finally, the G-Team Members will PM the GM with the person they wish to protect.
It seems complicated, but it's rather simple.
When the round ends, the GM will write a story update which usually contains two parts:
A story bit about the people who are voted off going to jail, and a description of how the two people were killed.
Through the whole game, a continuing storyline is usually maintained.
This whole process continues until both the Crazed Killer and Sniper are voted off, or until the Crazed Killer and Sniper are the only ones left.
If you are at all confused about how the game works, don't be afraid to post in the guild and ask for clarification! n.n
But where's the FUN part?

The fun comes in with how you play the game. How you conduct yourself in the thread, arousing suspiscion, lying, cheating, etc. Pretty much anything goes. You can claim to be the Newsreporter, even if you're not. You can offer to 'protect' someone, even if you're the Sniper! PM people, make alliances, gang up on people, start rumors, it's all game!
So when does it start?
When the previous round ends. Don't worry, there'll be lots of announcements that a new round's starting when it happens. n.n
I bet there's rules.
You bet. Here are the rules. You follow them, or you're out.
1. No cyber. No bad stuff. Stick to ToS, Mmkay? Standard rule.
2. If you have a serious, honest hatred of someone, and feel the need to insult them, flame them, or otherwise harass them, don't do it in this guild. Insults and whatnot are fine if they pertain to the game and are in JEST.
3. Anyone can post here. Only participants of the current round can vote. n.n
4. The Game Master will not wait for everyone to vote. At the deadline, he or she will move on to the next round. If a secret character misses their turn, He or she will use a random number generator.
5. If you have a question about the mechanics of the game, feel free to ask!
6. Please, restrict the use of your mules! You may not have more than one account participating in the game. Please also refer to the additional mule rules at the bottom of this post.
7. ADD SOME MEAT TO YOUR POSTS. Gaia Community DISCUSSION. Part of the reason I can keep this here is for the discussion. So among all the fun posts, which are fine, try to add some legitimate discussion. xD ninja
8. Any descision by the Game Master or Zaeyde is FINAL.
9. If you feel you cannot make a decent descision on whom to vote for, or do not have time, or whatever reason, you may vote with a PASS. HOWEVER. You may NOT pass more than three times in the game. The POINT in the game is to be forced to vote. If you exceed your three passes, you will be removed due to inactivity without warning.
10. Once you have been shot/jailed, you MAY contine to post and speculate and whatnot, but you MAY NOT vote.
11. Have fun. Durr.
12. You may NOT post screenshots of the PM you recieved for your placement, EDITS OR NOT. You MAY make edits of OTHER PMs, as long as I or the GM am not involved. The PM may NOT look like I or the GM had any part in it, at ALL. My name or the GM's or anything I or the GM may have said may NOT be included in the screenshots. If you break this rule, the Sniper WILL shoot you.
13. If you miss three rounds in a row, or five rounds total, you will be removed. NO EXCUSES. Sorry. I and the GM cannot count absences and allow for vacations and such. I am sorry. It's too much work for me or them, and not fair to the other players.
(If the current GM wants to change this rule, they may. However, default is no excuses. n.n)
---Additional Rules---
1. Mules may not interfere with the game in any way, shape, or form. They can contribute to discussion. They can speculate, even. But they may not directly get involved.
2. Mules cannot be used to distribute clues or communicate any information related to the game that is not already publicly known.
3. If any mules are caught adding unneeded drama, they'll be banned. This goes for regular users, as well.
4. Any mule found breaking these rules will be banned, along with their owner.
5. Zaeyde and the GM will not facilitate any communication to any mules wishing to get involved in the game. Zaeyde and the GM will not get involved in the game at all, except to post her own little comments and such.
6. Outside organizations and manipulations may continue, but they must be kept within the guild. Get creative! Start codes. White text. Hidden messages in posts. Etc.
