Traveling from one part of the world to another is always difficult. Be it jet lag, or the time change, or leaving the world you know behind—Everything always catches up to you. Recruits, new and old have started to trickle onto Muir Island—And for the first time, in a long time, the nearly empty compound is a blur activity. The weather in Scotland has been fair with uninterrupted blue skies, a faint breeze, and enough wild flowers to make the open area’s seem less like a temporary base and more like a temporary home. As recruits come in, or students arrive with Professor’s, they are given placement in the appropriate dorm and are free to unpack their things and move about the compound as they please—Within reason, considering there are certain clearance levels they must adhere to.

For the time being, everyone is encouraged to get to know one another if they aren’t familiar with each other to begin with—And to familiarize themselves with the base. Muir Island is only a transitory compound for them to work out of, to be kept safe and sheltered while their new Headquarters in London is being completed. The area seems entirely peaceful, with access to the mainland, and a nice length of beach with soft sand and warm waters. Though things can change rapidly, as the X-Men have learned over the years…So while everything is tranquil at the moment, such calmness is likely not to last.

Where the Story is today:

Eastern Europe suffered terrible losses from the plague that Mystique recently let loose on humanity. It has been three months since the cure was distributed. Most of the United Kingdom is still recovering from extreme losses but things are slowly improving.

The X-Men on Muir are trying to get back to "normal" life and tried for an outing. Unfortunately, their field trip went awry, and a few students running face to face with a serial killer paired with Omega Red, they are now more fearful of ever of what the outside world might hold for them.

It's been three weeks since they successfully locked up the Russian, and now the whole island needs to adjust to the losses they have sustained.

Please read the following in full. If you are missing parts of this, your application will be denied, with an explanation of why so that you may try again.

Applications Should Include:

All applications should include, a complete skeleton and a writing sample. Your application is considered incomplete without a writing sample and a lack of one can delay feedback.

The writing sample does not have to be long, two paragraphs should suffice, as that length will generally give us a taste of what you have to offer in writing. We prefer the sample to be with the character you plan on using, but in some instances we'll accept other character writings.

Who to send your app to:

The Bunit, Selena Lucania

Request to Join in Guild

Accompanying your private message to one of the mods listed above, you need to request to join
through the guild as well. In this, you should include your character's name, which mod you sent your application to, the model name for your character (i.e. Keiran is Christian Bale)
and what the power you are applying to have is.

You will also need to send a completed skeleton to one of the mods listed above. [Skeleton] If you have any questions, please ask.

Things to Remember

1. No canon characters. We will be playing player-made characters only.
2. No godmoding powers, such as mind control or mind reading, inter-dimensional powers. All will be faced with a brick wall. I won't allow the mods to have these either; so this power limitation will be completely fair.
3. We are a one mutation per character guild. This is so the characters aren't overpowered. Besides, secondary mutations are exceedingly rare.
4. Send in a writing sample with your application. We prefer it to be something with the character you are trying to use.
5. The application process may take a bit of time; bear with us.
6. We expect 2 paragraphs (minimum) per post... one post per week. Strive for two, but we're realistic.
7. Even if you get an invite, you must go through the same process as everyone else; send a completed skeleton to one of the mods listed above. Your request to join the guild will be accepted upon character approval, so long as you include what we ask, and not that you received an invite. While it is great that you received one, organization is key to efficiency. Character Name, Power, the character's model name and who you sent your skeleton should be in your request.
8. ALL OBSIDIAN POSITIONS ARE CURRENTLY FILLED. - this role play is heavily emphasized on the students. If you want a bigger part of the story, you're more likely to be versatile with a younger character. (16-21) We will always be accepting Meliorists. However, Obsidians have to have mutations or personalities that can match with a student's, ergo students have more liberties in the way of originality. If more Obsidian positions become available, we ask that you speak to a moderator prior to filling out an application
9. If you do not follow the directions of this, and you miss any of this, your application will take longer while we sort it all out with you. So please read carefully so you can join in on the fun faster.
10. If you have any questions regarding an application you've submitted, please feel free to ask.
