June 26th, 2011. That was the day the virus first hit American shores. It came dormant in the corpse of a baboon thought to be carrying Ebola Zaire. Little did USAMRIID scientists know, they, and the rest of the human population, were doomed. Nearly three days later,the media was flooded with warnings of a flu pandemic and hospitals were overrun with the sick and dying. It wasn't until the dead began to rise four days later, did anyone realize something was off. Political wars seemed to vanish almost all at once when the world first became faced with it's corpse enemy, and once again the civilized human world was able to unite behind one cause. But what do you do when grandma suddenly thinks your brain is the main course? How quick are you with that trigger when Fido's ear falls off but he's still wagging? And can you really debate with a creature who has a family of maggots burrowing into the dead hand clutching a shotgun?
It has been exactly one week since the dead began to rise. The human population is being decimated but there are still survivors struggling to remain among the ranks of the living. Do you have what it takes to survive?

Ok peeps, here's the drill. This guild was made in good humour so lets keep it there mkay? This is a mature rated roleplay meaning your friendly mods enjoy gratuitous cursing, violence and romance, rock n roll, drugs, smoke machines and little umbrellas in cocktails. That being said:

We don't hate on anyone because of race, sexual orientation, politics or musical taste. We expect you to do the same. If you're being disrespectful you get a warning. If you disrespect our warnings, prepare for reprimands typically only found in Quentin Tarentino movies. If someone is being a douchetruck, don't hesitate to pm one of us mods.
LITERACY: get some.
It's not that hard to use proper spelling and grammar, it's much easier for everyone if you check your spelling. We suggest writing posts in a Word document (downloading Firefox works, too) and copy pasting it, because sometimes s**t happens and things get lost, and also, we do so love spellcheck. We don't have a minimum posting length but we encourage you all to write well and be creative and wonderful, and if you're the sort of person who writes short one paragraph posts, don't go ahead and reply to a super long thread that probably took hours to write.
CREATIVITY: it's house sharing with the virus.
Because of the nature of this roleplay, there are allll sorrrrts of characters itching to be created. Go nuts, my pretties, go nuts. Please follow the app and think carefully about your characters. We don't want Mary Jane's or Gary Stu's. The secret word to put in your join request is 'I'm an executive transvestite'. No killing other people's characters without permission, no killing off your own without informing us mods. And, FOR GAWD SAKES people, get injured every once in a while. No one's perfect.
Remember the times and the situations. Oh, and, please, please, PLEASE, no supernatural abilities. Yeah, I know; zombies aren't exactly realistic. We just don't want a bunch of shape-shifters or magical powers that poof outta no where. Some psychic abilities, such as predicting the future and such, are so-so. If you wish for your character to have them, run it by a mod first.
