Welcome to the Masquerade Society, a Gaian Guild dedicated to those who have a little more than themselves in their mindscape. We specialize in the conversational topics revolving around the mind and its many, MANY facets, including which the idea that people can, in fact, have and live out separate identities in a concise, balanced, and well-structured environment.

This guild is dedicated to those who seek to understand themselves in their many facets, and who need a place to really flaunt their multiple states of self.

We are less inclined to accept profiles in regards to a general roleplay stance, mostly because unlike most roleplayers there is a bond as a Masquerader between mun and muse that makes said muse and integral piece in their lives. The process of the role-play scenarios is simply secondary to the assumption of such identities. For example, some actors accept their roles as a true part of them, and they would be a perfect example of a Masquerader.

We accept those willing to learn such intimate bonds with the hidden parts of themselves, as it is a part of self-understanding and confidence.

When requesting an invite, please be sure to give a detailed reasoning as to why. (Minimum 1-2 paragraphs of explanation).


Rules Regarding Conduct and Acceptance:
1. Follow the Gaia TOS.
2. Profanity is discouraged in the event of its potential harm. Therefore, please do not swear if it is to belittle another or if it is used for the sake of derision. Swearing is perfectly acceptable in an emphatic or cathartic sense. (Please look these words up, there's really not other way of describing them).
3. Please treat other Masqueraders with respect. I can't even begin to express how easy it is to make another person feel worthless, especially given the circumstance that they don't know what is going on.
4. If someone within the Masquerader's group of personas chooses to make themselves known, please refer to them by name and preferred pronouns. This also goes for the Masquerader themselves.
5. Introduce yourself/yourselves to each other. This is a phenomena after all, so not everybody is quite unique in this regard.
6. Feel free to contact the admin(s). We like speaking. A lot.
7. Demeaning others and general trolling can and likely will get you banned. This is because a lot of individuals (who I refer to as fellow Masqueraders) in this guild may deal with mental disorders, life trauma and the like. It is therefore common courtesy that we treat everybody here with as much respect, especially since regardless of a person or people's walk of life, it is almost certain that a person has faced, is facing, or will face hardship(s).
8. Please let me know that you read all of the information by marking the bottom of your join request with a <>. It will help in determining the future length of these descriptions.
