We are an open RP guild, what this means is; if you have an idea, MAKE IT! Any RP you can imagine is allowed here, as long as it's literate or adv. literate. If your not up for an RP that day, we have forums for members to share their art, a forum specifically for polls plus much more!
And remember, if you have friends who RP, be sure to invite them, the more the merrier!

The Rules
Yes, there are some rules, not too many, and most should be standard, just bare with me here.
1. No Cybering; At all, EVER. Not only could there be children running around, but this is against Gaia's terms of service. If I catch anyone Cybering, even if they're on the Crew, the posts shall be deleted and the guilty parties banned permanently, this is non-negotiable.
2. No Drama; Are you having a problem with another member? Contact a member of the Crew, the Vice Captain or the Captain immediately. Do not make the situation public by discussing it in the OOC thread.
3. PG-16; While this one could easily be connected to the first rule, there are differences. The first is; no swearing for the sake of swearing. Yes, I understand that a character can get angry in a stressful situation, or may have a bit of a mouth on them but don't make every other word a swear, it makes you seem juvenile. The second is; please don't have an unnecessary amount of blood and gore. Yes, a good duel or battle can result in a good deal of blood splatter, but your not playing the original Mortal Kombat, you don't need fountains of blood and meat flying from a corpse.
4. Limit your use of HTML; This should be self explanatory. Nowadays, all to often we see RPs in Barton using a TON of pretty pictures, which honestly, distracts from the RP itself. You don't need a picture of your character in every post, we know what they look like if we read the profile. I can understand having banners, but the point of an RP is the text, not the pictures you found on Photobucket or DeviantART.
5. Keep OOC posts in the OOC thread; Again, self explanatory. We have an OOC thread and we even have a subforum specifically for OOC threads related to a specific RP, use them. Don't clutter an RP with lots of chatter.
6. Follow the TOS; We are not our own website, we're borrowing bandwidth from Gaia to play our games that means we play by their rules.

As we are a brand new guild there are a couple of things we need to get off the ground.
The first, are Crew Members. Do you have experience running a guild? Are you honest? Are you charismatic? Then we need you! To become a member of the Crew fill out this form and PM it to Dire Pious Flea under the headline of 'Crew Application'.
