I am organizing a tournament, derived from the WWE concept King of the Ring. The tournament will be held annually beginning in April. The concept of this tournament is unlike any other tournament on Gaia, as this tournament is an Invitational, meaning that you have to be invited to compete. And just how am I going to determine who should be able to compete in this tournament? The answer to that is simple: I'm Not. I am going to allow everyone in the Social guild to post their nominations and the 8 people that receive the most nominations from their peers will be invited to compete for the coveted title of "King of The Ring"

Rules for Nominations

1. You may nominate up to 8 people, and only the first 8 names on your list will be accepted.
2. You MAY NOT Nominate yourself (because if your good enough, you will make the cut.)
3. You may not Nominate me or any of my crew members.(Draze and jaybluelightning)
4. Don't waste your votes on a guy that doesn't want a spot or someone that is currently inactive.

KING OF THE RING 2014 VOTING LEADERBOARD

1. Cartwright (8 )
2. Hiro (8 )
3. AJ Warner (8 )
4. Salem Croft (8 )
5. Cyrus Leone (6)
6. Matt Shanahan (5)
7. Disciple (4)
8. Shadow, Knight, Omega, Trent, Kelly King (3)

This will be the way the tournament will be seeded. Not to hard a concept standard 1-8 seeds. Person with the most votes is seed 1, the least seed 8. Any ties will be ended with 1 day polls where I post the tie and everyone votes as to who should get the highest seed. And from there:

Round 1

Seed 1 vs. Seed 8 (1)
Seed 2 vs. Seed 7 (2)
Seed 3 vs. Seed 6 (3)
Seed 4 vs. Seed 5 (4)

Round 2

Seed (1) vs Seed (4)
Seed (2) vs Seed (3)

Finals

??? vs. ???

If this idea takes off I will consider growing it in the future. I might do 16 the next time around if there is enough activity. For right now, Gaia's Elite 8 as chosen by the people seems to be the best route.

Note: when you place your votes feel free to ask questions about how it is going to be run...I am still in the process of setting it up, and would really like as much feedback from everyone as possible and I would like to try and incorporate as many of the ideas you guys give me as I can. I'm just running the guild...I am in no way picking the winners based on anything more then their roleplaying ability. I would like to get some people to volunteer to be judges, but I am not going to do that until the voting is over, as I do not want anyone to have to choose between competing or judging. That being said...everyone fire away.
