In times long forgotten, the land was ravaged by a terrible evil. All life would struggle against this threat as it took their homes, their families, and their lives without little resistance. Of course the being would fight back against the evil before it consumed everything in its path. Though try was they might, the evil would simply bash their efforts away. After awhile all hope seemed to be lost. Yet in the darkness hour a hero emerged. It was but a simple human, though one who brought with him a formidable magic. With the gleaming Rauhoittaa stone in hand, the man would fight back against the darkness. The people would rally around the man and together banish the evil from the land. This is the tale of the first king and the forming of the kingdom, Avoin.

Centuries have passed sense the kingdom was formed. While peace has reined for many years, fate has other plans. The current king, Leo Tontis has parted this world in the hands of death. While this wouldn't be a concern in the past, he didn't produce an heir to the throne. Tradition dictates that the Rauhoittaa crown be passed down to a worthy candidate usually being their off spring. Yet Leo was the last in the Tontis family line. The gleaming crown without a head to rest on becomes stagnate. Without a ruler higher officials start to panic as the crown rejects all who attempt to take the throne. Without a king, parts of the kingdom start to break down. Chaos now rears its ugly head upon the land. Avoin must find a new ruler, one that the crown accepts as its own. Otherwise it could mean the end of it all.
