The set of our story takes place many years after the main storyline. The titans, in a sudden burst of activity, began once again ravaging the land, and with the opening up of the Military Police Brigade to any trainee and the "Exstincio Crisis" of the Survey Corps, the amount of troops going to the Survey Corps dwindles with every passing year. On the desperate need for soldiers to leave the city walls, the "Ut Moreretur" act was created. This selected random soldiers from each Military division to be forced into the Survey Corps. Not even those of the Military Police Brigade were safe. Not to mention Wall Maria, after being reclaimed by the famed Survey Corps (now long deceased) was broken once again after the Exstincio Crisis wiped out the Survey Corps, leaving the entire area Titan-Infested once again.

The members of the Stationary Guard are considered the worst physically of these groups, with the lack of titans on the wall leaving their attacking to cannon fire, their skills with the maneuver gear ebbed away to nothingness. The members of Stationary Guard forced into the Survey Corps are known as "Trampled Flowers" by the people, because of the high death rate of the soldiers from this division when forced into the Survey Corps.

The Military Police Brigade have gone downhill since graduated trainee's were able to enter without selection, and now considered the worst morally. Mostly corrupted, they began to assault the poorer people and bribe peasants for protection. Their skills fighting unfortunately are still put in use, as they gang up on people in groups and use their training against the innocent. The higher ups turn a blind eye to this, and even though they are looked down upon as a malevolent force, everyone is afraid to speak up, and those who do are solemn heard from after. The ones forced into the Survey Corps are known as "Broken Horns" by the people because their will is the easiest broken after serving in the Survey Corps.

Those who have joined the Survey Corps by their own will are known as "Nonflying Birds" because of little action taken by the Survey Corps, and when action is taken resulting in horrible disaster. The most horrible of these disasters would be the "Exstincio" crisis that occurred when the titans reappeared when the Survey Corps were re-attempting to take back Wall Maria. The entirety of the Survey Corps were wiped out, not one survivor is known from this incident, which also ended up being one of the key elements to the Ut Moreretur act being formed, as after the incident people joining the Survey Corps was almost none.
