The Sands of Time Blow....

Dx Yesterday while I was working out I had a TON of Zomg related Ideas, and haven't been able to stop thinking about it since then. I figured why let this totally random brain storm go to waste? I'm making this thread to put all my ideas out there into the Zomg community. Please feel free to use this thread to talk about these ideas, and your own as well!

If you'd like to make Mock Ups or Images for the ideas, feel free too, and PM them to me so I can add them to this thread.

If enough people show interest, and someone makes banners, I'll add a banner's section and an affiliate section.

If you want to know how many people support this thread and it's ideas, then look at how many Hearts we have! Also, Please <3 us! Thank you. xD

Edit: I forgot to mention, I know a lot of this stuff would be a lot of hard work, require a lot of funding, and will probably never happen. But I did this for fun so I don't really care. xD

Oh! and if Gaia wishes to use my ideas for Zomg, Go ahead. xD I spent about 3 hours typing all this up, and about 2 days thinking about these ideas. So some credit for the ideas if you take them from me would be nice. lol.

....Greeting the Demonic Prince.

Zomg Quest Idea.

Required to begin Quest:

  1. Defeated each of the Bosses in the game.
  2. Finished most (80%) of the Game's Quests at least once.
  3. Killed at least 20,000 Enemies.

If a person meets those condistions, then an NPC (A secret Agent looking one?) will run into you and Whisper to you "Take this" before running off again. An item will simply show up in your in-game inventory called "A Dark Invitation". Using this item will open up a new one square area. When you get there you'll be attacked by a large mob of different Enemies. (From LvL 10 to 12.) Only if you manage to kill them all does the person come out of hiding to speak to you. He'll explain how you have proven yourself to be dedicated to defeating Animated as that he and his friends have been watching you for a long time. He'll talk about how you've done more then the average Gaian in their fight. How you've helped out so many people (The Quests). He'll then offer you a Chance to do even more for the Cause.

(Options)
If there's Gold to be Made.
Anything to help end this nitemare!
I will lead the charge!
No thank you, I have enough trouble now!
(The button option ends the Quest with no chance to continue, the others lead forward.)

The first part of this Quest is to locate a "Spawn Point" for any of the Animated. (There would be one per in-game area to find.) In this area a large amount of the area's enemies would attack you. Your goal though isn't to defeat them, but rather to Damage the Spawn Point itself. (When an Area's Spawn point is Damaged enough the Animated would stop spawning for a short time (5 Mins?) to show that something happened.) After doing this, you would report back for the next mission.

You'll find out that damaging the Spawn points released a new type of animated. A stronger more powerful version. This new type would be called Shadow Animated and would look like a shadowed version of the normal ones. These would spawn, rarely, in any area and would be a min of level 10. The Spawn rate for enemies in the same square as this new enemy would be tripled! You mission? To kill one of these new Shadow Animated. Upon doing so the Spawn rate would fail to half in that square for a few minutes.

(The Shadow Animated themselves would only attack people at CL 10 or higher.)

After this the agent would tell you that these things are causing trouble for people trying to help fight the Animated. (Normal Players in other words) and your job is to recuse them. 10 of them. To recuse someone you'd have to beat a Shadow Animated while someone else (At the Correct level for missions in that area) is in the same Square, and to do so with that person still alive.

After completing this, your next mission would be to check out a certain area that is closed off to even the strongest fighters. This area would be crawling with the new type of Animated, and tons of normal ones all powered up to LvL 10. Through a Series of Quests, or by simply fighting your way to it, your job is to destroy the Spawn point in this area. (This should be near impossible to do. Due to the Rewards I have in mind.) Once you've done this, a Robot will appear and begin repairs on the spawn point. Leaving you no choice but to retreat.

The Agent would then thank you for your help, and offer you a very powerful and rare ring for what you've managed to do. The person will say "Finally, a chance to win." and disappear. The reward would depend on how you first answered this man's request for your help.

Keep in mind that these rings would only be given out through this quest, and that you could have one of these three, and that this quest should be really hard to complete (So that only a few people could get these rings.)

You would also be rewarded a Ninth Ring Slot. (Being given the ability to wear two rings on your right hand's ring finger)

Two of these rings have a Passive effect that effects everyone in the Crew, so I believe that the Boost shouldn't Stack with one another, or with other copies of it. This way we won't have people only willing to crew with those who have completed this challenge.

As a last Note, these Rings are meant to be a lot more powerful then any current ring out there, and are meant to be VERY VERY Rare. Thank you.

Post for Clan Ideas.

I believe we could do SOOOO MUCH BETTER with Clans. Guilds (Or Clans as they are known in Zomg) are the Conner Stone of the Best MMOs out there! And yet our Clan system is.... Well... There ISN'T ONE! This post is my view of what Clans Should be like. xD

My ideas are designed to make Zomg more interesting for people by giving them goals to work towards together, to make a HUGE Gold Sink for Zomg Gold. (To help solve the problem of people making tons of the game.) and to increase the rewards you get from the game. (Once you've made certain upgrades, your clan members will actually be earning far more Gold. Thus making upgrades more like an investment in future profits.)

Each Clan should have there own in game Area. (This could be the same area, only a different layer in the game.) So a Clan's Leader would spend 250,000g to buy this place to act as the Clan's Castle (Home Base) In-Game. They could Chose a Look. (Ideas : Forest, Meadow, Wintery, Mountain, Fall, Spring, Lake, etc...) and the Castle would begin Small. Once the Castle is bought, then other people can join the Clan. The Leader would then set a Min amount of Gold (A Percent of what you earn in the game) that would be given to the Clan's Coffers. (You would not be able to add in Gold in any other way.) Each member could then up that percent if they wish. With the Funds you could buy upgrades and new features for your Castle.

Upgrades :
  1. Size 1 (Get a bigger area around the castle revealed.) 100,000g
  2. Size 2 (Castle Grows Bigger, gain more Rooms in the Castle. (Like a Cafe, Bed room, Kitchen, other areas.) 250,000g
  3. Size 3 (Get an even bigger area around the Castle.) 300,000g
  4. Size 4 (Get a Larger Castle Size.) 400,000g
  5. Size 5 (Get the largest outdoor size) 800,000g
  6. Size Final (Get the largest Castle Size) 1,000,000g

Features : This is buy each Feature's Lowest Level, the upgrades for each feature will be a different list.
  1. Clan Store : This would sell Basic Rings, or other items, for Gold, and buy anything you get in the game for Gold. - 250,000g (You'd be able to pick the NPC you want to run it.)
  2. Clan Pets : Different In game Monsters would roam around the area attacking Non-Clan Memebers. (To unlock the Shop for this). 400,000g
  3. Clan Dungeon : A Special Area for Clan Members only. It would like the different areas with Bosses (Such as the Saw Mil) and the Clan leader would choose what monsters would appear, how many, and what levels. The Leader could also choose to set one of 4 different types to the dungeon. (Each one would have to be bought, expect the "Normal" type.) Gold Earning. (Every gains more Gold, the Percent amounts increase with upgrades.) Training Area (Gain more Orbs, Buy Upgrades) Smith's Dream (Gain more Item Drops, Buy Upgrades.) Cost : 1,000,000g per dungeon. (Up to 3.) Needs to be size 2 for 1, 4 for 2, and 6 for 3.
  4. Clan Buffs : Passive Buffs you get for simple being a member to the Clan. 500,000g
  5. Officer Buffs : Passive Buffs that those of Officer (Crew) Level or higher would get. 500,000g
  6. Captain Buffs : Passive Buffs the Clan's Leader would get. 500,000g
  7. Clan Trainer : Used to Power Up Pets. (You know, those useless items that follow you around all day. xD) for more info on how this system would work, see the post further in the thread. - 500,000g
  8. Clan Smith : By spending Gold, Giving a Ring, and giving certain items, you could upgrade a Ring's forged level. Making them stronger. (Again, see a post further along for more details.) 500,000g
  9. Clan's Ring Forger : Make New Rings that you cannot get via enemy drops through this guy! (See my ideas on "New Rings" wink - 500,000g
  10. Clan's Treasure Room : This room would give out a daily prize to anyone who visits it. (Gold, Orbs, Items, Rings, or other things. At first a small amount of gold, or common items, but with upgrades.) People can also give rings or items to this room, and any member could take them. - 1,000,000g

Clan Wars :

Clans Should be able to enter other Clan's Castles, as a way to try and wreck things and make rivalry between clans. Clan Leaders or Officers could buy decorations for the Clan's Castle, and people from other clans can break them for Gold and Orbs, assuming the Clan's Pets don't kill them first.

You can also have Friendly Clans, and Enemy Clans. Friendly Clans wouldn't be able to break things, But could use your clans shops. (Earning your Clan Gold.) Enemy Clans would be attacked by the Clan's Pets as soon as they stepped foot in the Clan.

Give Clan Officers and Leaders the ability to teleport anyone in the Clan's Area straight into one of the Clans Dungeons. xD *Laughs* GO AWAY! *Teleports someone.* Thats better.

Add a Crystal to teleport right to your Clan's Area from the Null area.

(Please Note many of the features are explained as future posts as they are apart of a new idea as well. xD)

Ring related Ideas.

This post explains Different Ideas related to the Rings, and the Guild Ring related Shops.

Ring Smith :
A Smith that you could give gold and items to in order to bring up the power of Rings, up to +5.
There would be one in the main city of the game that could upgrade to +2. For higher you need a Clan.

Example.

Fortune's Favor Stats at CL 10 are normally : Accuracy -> 40
Dodge -> 40
Luck -> 13

This would be the +0 Level.

+1 would be...

Accuracy -> 45
Dodge -> 45
Luck -> 14

+2 .....

Accuracy -> 50
Dodge -> 50
Luck -> 15

+5 (Max) ......

Accuracy -> 70
Dodge -> 70
Luck -> 20

Each Upgrade would bring the Ring's CL down by 2, and increase the cost to level the CL up by one Orb per level. A Ring would need to be at CL 10 before it's power could be increased. (So this would take time and effort to do for any ring, but worth it by the time you get to +5.)

Ring Forger :

This idea is to allow stronger rings into the game, Only "Basic" Rings would be dropped by enemies, to get better rings you'd need to Max out a Rings CL, Spend Gold, and certain items to "Upgrade" it into a new type of ring. Using the Fortune's Favor as an example again...

Each ring made would start out at CL 1 and +0

Only Clan shops could make the advance Rings.

Basic Ring : Fortune's Favor
Passive
Stats : Accuracy -> 40
Dodge -> 40
Luck -> 13

Intermediate Ring: Lady Luck's Kiss
Forge Cost: 1 Fortune's Favor CL 10 or higher, 50,000g, 50 item A, 25 item B.
Passive
Stats : Accuracy -> 60
Dodge -> 60
Luck -> 20

Intermediate Ring: Poisoned Luck
Forge Cost: 1 Fortune's Favor CL 10 or higher, 50,000g, 50 item A, 25 item B.
DeBuff
rr1 : -1 luck on person used on. +1 Luck on person casting. (Max 3)
rr2 : -2 luck on person used on. +2 Luck on person casting. (Max 6)
rr3 : -3 luck on person used on. +3 Luck on person casting. (Max 9)
rr4 : -5 luck on person used on. +5 Luck on person casting. (Max 15)

Intermediate Ring: Roulette's Luck
Forge Cost: 1 Fortune's Favor CL 10 or higher, 50,000g, 50 item A, 25 item B.
Buff/DeBuff/AOE/Etc...
(Would have Different effects)
20% likely to increase luck (rr 1, 5 points. rr 4 20 points.)
20% likely to AOE (Attacks every enemy in sight, Looses 1% of Gold earned so far today. (5% if rr4))
20% likely to DeBuff (rr 1, -5 luck on crew, rr4 -20 points.)
40% likely to do nothing.....

Advance Ring: Fortune's Love
Forge Cost: Lady Luck's Kiss or Roulette's Luck CL 20 or higher. (Plus Gold and Items.)
Passive
Stats: Accuracy -> 80
Dodge -> 80
Luck -> 32
Also Negates the effects of Black Fortune, and Poisoned Luck.

Advance Ring: Black Fortune
Forge Cost: Poisoned Luck or Roulette's Luck CL 20 or higher. (Plus Gold and Items.)
Passive
Effects :
Gain 8 points of luck per Crew member. Each Crew member loses 8 points of luck.

(These are only examples to help explain the idea.) Doing this would open Zomg up to be even higher levels. Like making Basic rings useless by the time you reach CL 15, Intermediate by CL 25. So that as you go further into the game you'd have to get new rings to survive. Thus having more to do, and having to slow down and work on leveling up. (Which is what many people want anyway right?) To do this though the Enemies at higher levels would have to Jump in stats at certain levels to make the more advanced rings needed.

Pets :

We should be able to level pets up! Their stats would be the same as a normal player, minus the rings, have one or two attacks, and maybe a buff. They would also take up a spot in the Crew. (Example, you could have 5 human players and one Pet to make a Crew or 6.) Meaning we could Buff and heal our pets, and our pets could be knocked out.

For levels higher then 8 perhaps only Clan Shops could do?

Simple yes? xD

Equipment:

Release some Cash Shop Items that we could equip, these items should effect our stats. (But add or taking a way form them.) While we have them Equip on our avatar and are in Zomg. ^.^

sweatdrop That's honestly all I have for here. lol.

Besides the stuffs listed in the posts above. Have an Optional Ad option in game that would play a 30 second add when moving to a different area. (At least 10 minutes apart.) For a Small Buff. (Would increase stats by a small amount.) If it increases Luck by 2 I think a lot of people would go for it.

Also, With the Auto-Cash, I would like it if we could select a reason we get it. I mean I get Auto-cash solely to increase my Gold limit in Zomg. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't buy GC or items from the Cash Shop. (Instead I'd probably just buy them for Gold.)

Expect for Donation letters. xD I try to always buy two of those a month.

But this would sort of be a "Oh look, people are buying more GC and Spending it thanks to Zomg." Type of thing. >.>'

That's all. XD LOL.

Holy moly! Maybe you should try a glass of warm milk before bed to help you get some sleep!
That's a heck of a lot of ideas! eek

I have only one zOMG idea. I've posted it before but no one ever listened, much less did anything about it, so I'm gonna post it again!

I think there should be a "Tourist" option for zOMG. Like the Safari Monorail that used to be at the Philadelphia Zoo. You'd get in a vehicle (a monorail would be divine, but I'd settle for a tramcar) and just ride around seeing the sights and the sites in zOMG.

One of the main reasons I played through zOMG was that it annoyed me to no end that there was a place on the site I could not just "go to". I would have appreciated a "Tourist" option, just to be able to see what there was to see.

Picture it! You're riding along through, say, Otami, past the temple, and the Giant Stone Coatl peeks his head out the door as Flying Feathered Coatls swarm past! That would be cool!

It might even increase the player base if people could see what they were getting into.

Holy moly! Maybe you should try a glass of warm milk before bed to help you get some sleep!
That's a heck of a lot of ideas! eek

xD I know. I know.

Your Idea would be quite a bit of work. What about a Video Walk-through? A video that showed you the different areas and enemies like that would work quite a bit better. Maybe a "Watch someone play Zomg before you do!" Sort of thing? That seems like it would help those who want to know what their getting into. ^.^

*shrugs* It's just a thought. It makes no never-mind to me how much work it would be - I'm an idea man! XD
A video walkthrough would not be a suitable compromise, I'm afraid. I've seen Burning Man on TV several times (even on "Malcolm in the Middle"!) but I still wanna go.
I imagine there are video walkthroughs on youtube. I'll have to look. (My little nephew is always watching LPs on youtube, especially kwing's and nintendo caprisun's, but he still wants to play the games - another proof for my statement above!)
Besides, you know what? Even if they come to naught, the important thing is to keep having ideas. Wow. I feel so deep! wink

Very True. Though my Ideas have been used before. xD I still remember the first Idea I suggested to a large site. (Neopets)

It was to have Trades deleted after 2 weeks. Because I kept finding listings for trades from people who hadn't been to the site in over a year. Dx a couple or weeks after I suggested it Neopets implemented the idea! (That was like 8 or 9 years ago. xD) But it made me so happy to see my idea being used.
