Quote:
Random events will occur in various zones now at random times, more in prime time than in off-hours. If you are in the proper zone when it occurs, you will be notified so that you're aware that it's happening. NOTE: This is just the start of the event structure. We'll be adding more and more events...some of them quite large!...in the coming months.

Instructions and details of the events are supplied to players in the zone when the event begins

General Information about the Mini-Events:

-They occur during random times of the day and in a random order.

-They are NOT all available at the same time-- they occur randomly. Meaning it's hard to camp for an event, it's best to be prepared while playing normally.

-They occur more often during the busier parts of the day when more people are on.

Barton Town

Summary: Airshark descends from the clouds, roamimg around Barton and dropping Sky Bombs on unsuspecting townspeople and adventurers!

Rules:

-The Sky Bombs damage anyone near them when they detonate, and sometimes explode out into Sky Boxes... which attack any nearby targets of opportunity

-The event lasts 20 minutes

Goals and Rewards

Keep Barton Town safe by defeating the Sky Boxes that appear. Rewards at the end of the event are based on how many Sky Boxes you 've fought that are defeated during the event. (Fighting doesn't necessarily mean "killing". You can earn some rewards by healing other players, using Crowd Control, etc)

Tips and Trix from the Master

This is most effectively played by strong positioning, speed boosts and proper ring usage.

Depending on the direction he's going he ALWAYS drops Sky Boxes in the same location-- so as soon as you see him tilt in a certain direction REMEMBER where those Sky Boxes appear so next time you can camp that spot on the screen.

People often Scream "ONLY GET ONE HIT ON THE SKY BOXES BECAUSE IT DOESN'T COUNT IF YOU HIT THEM MORE".... THIS IS NOT TRUE.

The more damage you do to a Sky Box, the more points you get, simple as that.

Rings I recommend:
Bolded for importance and Capitalized for effectiveness.

-FLEET FEET AND COYOTE SPIRIT
-Bandage or Diagnose
-SOLAR RAYS
-GUNS GUNS GUNS
-HUNTERS BOW
-DERVISH

Rules:

-There are three "LawnSharks"

-The scenario lasts for 20 minutes, or until all three LawnSharks are destroyed, whichever comes first.

Goal and Rewards

Defeat all three lawnsharks. Rewards are based on how much you've done during the fights, whether through damage, healing of allies, crowd control, etc.

Bill's Ranch

Summary: Someone has fed G-Virus to the chickns in Bill's Ranch. They've mutated into the green monstrosities known as Gruckens and now Biill's family needs you to help get rid of them!

Rules

-Gruckens spawn fairly often at random anywhere on Rancher Bill's fields while this event runs. (They don't spawn elsewhere in the zone).

-There is a maximum to the number of Gruckens that spawn, so the only reliable way to make more appear is to throw some of the existing ones down the well.

-The event runs for 20 minutes.

Goal and Rewards
Grab a Grucken (easier said than done), take it to the well and drop it in, doing this as many times during the event as possible. At the end, you are rewarded for the number of Gruckens you dropped in the well.

Zen Gardens

Summary: The folks living in the Houses on the Hill above Deadman's Pass are sending scouts down to find out more about the Zen Garden's area. Why? Only time will tell! But Katsumi wants you to stop the spies from returning back with whatever information that are seeking!

Rules:

-The area is being invaded by Clutch patrols. These patrols seem to be most interested in particular "landmark" areas of the Gardens and are doing sweeps of those various locations.

-There are a finite number of patrols coming into the area. This event runs until all of those patrols have either been destroyed or they have completed their sweeps of the area.

Goal and Rewards
Defeat these patrols before they complete their patrols, preventing them from returning to Deadman's Pass. You are rewarded at the end of the event based on how many Clutches you stop. This reward is modified by how many of the patrols were stopped by everyone in the area, so you'll get the biggest rewards when everyone works together to stop this menace!

Bass'ken Lake

Summary:

The Buzz Saws have pooled lifeforce to spawn a giant monstrosity known as BuzzKill! Now it terrorizes the Bass'ken Lake area!

Rules
-BuzzKill can fold space, moving easily from location to location, warping whevere it wishes.

-When hurt too much at once, BuzzKill tends to warp away from the fray, looking for easier pickings.

Goal and Rewards
Defeat BuzzKill! You are rewarded based on how much you did in the fight (either through damage, healing of allies, crowd control options, etc.)

Tips and Trix from the Master

BuzzKill may seem intimidating but he's really not that tough. Grab Turtle and Meat and you can solo this bad boy easily (Just don't get too reckless blindly trying to solo him in a mob of Buzz Saws). A lot of people say he's hard, but I never had a problem with him. Turtle+Meat+Diagnose and you can non-stop attack him so long as you watch your energy.

Other rings I recommend would be:

-Divinity
-Speed Buff (He moves ALL the way across the area, and you need to fight him).
-Ninja Set is love.

Old Aqueduct

Summary:
The aliens from across the stars are tired of Gaians coming through the Star Portal to torment them in their Hive. Now they're tring to break out and make a foothold in the Old Aqueduct itself!

Rules:
-To clear the area when the aliens come through the Star Portal, they first send through a wave of Deathroaches.
-Deathroaches are powerful creatures that will try and touch a specific person, detonating in a biowave of energy, decimating their chosen target. So destroy it at range, run away from it to a safe range, or do anything you can, just don't let it touch you!
-The Deathroach wave is followed quickly by a huge outpouring of Shockroaches, Walkers, Lightning Bugs, and/or LandStriders. These bugs will comb through the area, destroying anything they can find.
-Ocassionally the Hve calls back its bugs for repair and rest. The bugs then head back to the Star Portal to recuperate in the Hive for a bit before coming back for more.
-The event lasts for 30 minutes.

Goal and Rewards
Destroy as many bugs as you can during the attempted breakout. You are rewarded based on how much you do in the fights during that time.(Damage, healing of allies, crowd control usage, etc.)

Tips and Trix from the Master

People are afraid of this event because of the Deathroaches that usually one-hit kill you. However, you don't even have to run from the Deathroaches. I cannot stress enough how amazing the Meat ring is for Majority of these events. Full rage meat garuntees that you will NEVER die from a Deathroach explosion.

Ninja Set also has them flat out MISS you 9/10 times. Full Rage Turtle is supposed to also save you, but I don't know (even though I use it).

Regardless, if you hate the Meat ring or don't have access to one, just leave the screen when the warning about the death roaches comes up.

Then go back in and kill whatever's on that screen.

Now don't be a lamer and just wait there. There's a reason when the events over and everyone's shouting out there scores of 2,000... 3,000... 4,000... and I have a score 37,000... I go out and kill all the bugs that escaped while 99% of the other players sit there waiting and doing nothing for several minutes.

Rings I recommend:
Bolded for Importance and Capitalized for Effectiveness:

-Ninja Set is Love.

-Divinity

-MEAT

-TURTLE

Gold Beach

Summary:
The Predator Prairie Pups (P3's) have left the Aqueduct to go on a hunt for trophies. They must be driven back into the Aqueduct without their trophies or they'll soon expand out into the rest of Gaia.

Rules:
-This event is similar in nature to "Deadman Spies" in that the P3's have formed patrols to scout through the Beach, looking for trophies. However, they are hostile to pretty much everything in the area, and you'll see them fighting all kinds of foes as they seek their trophies.
-The event last 20 minutes.

Goal and Rewards
Defeat all 100 P3's in 20 minutes or less or the event fails for everyone. If all 75 are defeated, then your reqard is based upon how many P3s you fought during the event.

Badges:

-P3TA

Recipe Component: Biomorphic Power Cell: User Image

Tips and Trix from the Master

This event is easy so long as enough people are killing P3's.

If you fail this event you get NO POINTS towards a badge and no loot or rewards.

Rings I recommend:

-Ninja Set is Love.

-Speed Boosts: Coyote and Fleet

Otami Ruins

Summary: The Tiny Terrors have found a way to drain the lifeforce directly from the Otami Spirits themselves! What are the using that lifeforce for? Only time will tell!

Rules:

-There are four Spirit Pyres in the Otami Ruins area.

-The Tiny Terrors and their Feathered Coatl allies will try to keep those Pyres lit. While the Pyres are lit the Otami Spirits are being drained.

-You and your friends need to douse those Pyres and keep them snuffed out.

-Three players must get together, close to a Pyre to begin the process of snuffling it out. Once you start the quenching process, keep the area free of monsters while until the timer expires and the flame will go out. If the timer expires with too many monsters in the area or if less than three players are still fighting in that area when the time expires then the flame will continue to burn.

-Once players manage to douse a Spirit Pyre, the monsters will start coming back to it, trying to get it lit again. If too many of them get near the Spirit Pyre, a new timer will be started, and if too many monsters are still in the area when that timer expires, the Pyre will relight!

-The event lasts 30 minutes.

Goal and Rewards

Quench all four Spirit Pyres and keep them quenched for the furation of the event. Your rewards are based on how much you do in the fights during the event (damage, healing of allies, crowd control usage, etc). Your rewards are also modified by the total amount of time that all four Pyres have been quuenced furing the event. The more the Spirit Pyres stay quenched, the higher everyons' reward will be.

Recipe Component: Spirit Pyre Rune:User Image

Tips and Trix from the Master

This can be a hard event if you don't have people who are coordinated, know what they're doing, or willing to listen.

There are 4 Pyres, the Ground Pyre being the most demanding. The Ground Pyre is by far the hardest to Quench, so this is the one that needs the most attention in the beginning. If a mob of players can quench this, then it can easily be defended by 3 other players. The rest of the Pyre's are easy with 3 players.

If you're quenching a Pyre and it fails to Quench, even though you're standing RIGHT by the Pyre it won't count your presence so you must walk AWAY from it and walk back near it again and then you'll see the message stating how many players you need or if you have enough. If you see people just standing there and not doing this and it still says you need more players, then ask them to walk away then stand back on it. Otherwise you're wasting time and stamina.

Rings I recommend:
Bolded for importance and Capitalized for VERY effective.

-Meat
-Turtle
-DERVISH
-Slash
-Diagnose
-DIVINITY
-Fitness
