Welcome to Gaia! ::

Is this that RPG quest game that everyone's been wanting for years now on Gaia Online? I've lost track of time and all that stuff, but I do want to say that zOMG is pretty good at the moment. It's strangely addicting.

My only real complaint about zOMG is that it does tend to lag, at least on my computer. Otherwise, zOMG has potential.

Oh, and one more question....I once found another Solar Rays ring, and I was wondering if there is a way I can equip it along with the current one I'm wearing. Is there a way? If no, should I just sell it?

lol Me too....Only I have yet to want to try it out...lol

You can't sell it, but you should salvage it for more orbs.

Thanks. It's nice to hear somebody not saying it sucks for once... The lag should be disappearing as Beta goes along. :3
Pardon me for bumping, but there is another thing as well.....is it even possible to level up in zOMG? I know you gradually gain G'hi capabilities, but otherwise my stats never seem to increase over time regardless of how many enemies I kill. confused

I apologize for sounding ignorant to the rest of you, but like I said, I'm new to zOMG. sweatdrop

Aside from G'hi (which just comes in time) the only reason you're powerful is your rings. In order to get stronger, you have to pump them full of orbs.

Nothing wrong with asking questions smile

Have you read the dialog as you go along? In the beginning, it explains your orbs that you get. You go to the null with those and upgrade your rings. As you upgrade rings, your CL (your level pretty much) goes up. But only the 8 you have on your fingers count towards your CL. However, if you have more than 8 rings, the rest can be swapped out via the null when you want to.

Oh. neutral That's odd, because it says that even though it's soul-bound, I can still sell it in shops, though when I tried to sell it in a shop it said I couldn't.

So, er, how do I get orbs out of the Solar Rays ring?

You're welcome. I try to be faithful, believing that a multiplayer game will get better over time. It's become a natural thing for people to say an online game sucks, like a great percentage of North American Metal Gear Online players have been doing.

I've actually got a bunch of ideas that would expand zOMG and make it better, but I haven't bothered to mention them because I doubt they will pass through, seeing as how it's all up to Gaia Interactive, Inc.
For lag, you can try using Firefox along with adblock.info
Also, you can try pipelining Firefox to help it run faster.info
And, if you haven't yet installed Microsoft Silverlight, do it...people say it helps the game run better.

The Salvage button is right below the Upgrade button... If you know where that is. (In the Null Chamber, open your inventory)

You know about soulbinding? xd Saying you couldn't sell it was an attempt to keep you from going "how i unsoulbound? i want seel on market" You're trying to sell from your Inventory, right? What did it say when you tried selling? Or was there no "Sell" button there?

If you follow Elizabeth's beginner quests, you'll be given an explanation of salvaging rings int he Null Chamber. 3nodding

And your stats raise and lower depending on the general strength of your equipped rings.

For some reason, Firefox is no longer as compatible with Gaia Online as it used to be; it says I have to download an Adobe Flash player for Firefox, but every time I try to download it, it never downloads due to (insufficient memory), even though I know I've got over 7GB of hard disk space. confused

Silverlight, huh? I'll think about it. I've had trouble trusting Microsoft's new software, including a new Internet Explorer, because I understand that they are glitchy as hell. scream

Insufficient memory sounds like a ram issue instead of a drive space issue. If you don't have a lot of ram and can't afford to upgrade, you can try adjusting you virtual memory to compensate.

Well, when I tried selling it either in a shop or in the Marketplace...

This item is soulbound to you and cannot be traded or given away and can only be sold in shops.

I underlined the last few words there, pointing out the part that confused me.

It may have something to do with that one time in October when I had to take my computer into UMD and get a new hard disk installed. My computer now works fine, but sometimes there are issues, like if I insert any USB storage medium or my Memory Stick, then, say, when I try to start up GIMP, I keep getting annoying pop-up messages saying that there were script errors, but otherwise GIMP runs fine.

Anyway, RAM is something I've considered investing in, but lack of funds has of course become a major issue preventing me from getting precious RAM. I once thought about doing something with my comp's Virtual Memory, but for some reason I worry about using it; I feel it could cause imbalances and I would forget about adjusting it when I have to, and stuff.

For now, I'm making do. But as for Silverlight, what is it and how much does it cost?

Ok, about this, you used to could go to any main shop and sell it to the shop keeper. You'd only get TWO gold for it. It's just a quick way to get rid of it if you don't want to salvage. However, shops were changed recently. Now you go to you inventory, click on a ring and hit "Sell Item". However, you still will only get 2g.
