Thank you for posting these instructions! They're very helpful, my pages load faster but zOMG! still lags horribly. sad

Angelic Blob

while is sped up the browser loading.
zOMG remains the same as ever, lagging and freezing.

A lot of the zOMG lag is problems on the server side (Gaia's computers). You can't do anything about that. All you can do is make your browser run at its best.

I find that zOMG runs fine without all of these add-ons.
'kay just gonna post a quick little "thank-you" here.

At first I was afraid, I was terrified...I panicked that if I did anything to my browser I'd kill it (things I touch have a tendency to do that). But, anyway...today I got fed up with all that worry and crashing and having to use Chrome. So I've tried it.
This is incredibly simple-no big words, no complicated commands, nothing! Very nicely copy-pasted it all, followed it, etc. It has made a big difference to the browser speed, although none noticeable to zOMG yet. I haven't crashed, though!!
So, thanks, Jan! This has worked very well~
Happy Easter!

This made a significant difference in gameplay, thank you so much for posting it! heart
I would suggest adding this somewhere in the tutorial. If while following your pipeline guide, the user unchecks the box to show the warning and they want it back. They simply have to search for general.warnOnAboutConfig and set it back to true. Thought this might help some people out biggrin .

Edit: I also found a great Firefox Addon that basically provides a nice GUI for the config. It makes it SUPER easy to set up pipelining. If you plan on doing those video tutorials like we talked about before, I would suggest making another using this biggrin . Here is the link:

Thank you for the feedback everyone and enjoy it smile

I intend to do an update with a pipeline 03 which has been on hold till now and perhaps a HD video tutorial so people can see just how simple and easy it is to configure smile

I'll look into this soon cheers for posting smile
What? This thread is off the first page?
Fear. Shock. Horror.

Tipsy Sweetheart

Oh. My. God. I love you so much.

Before I Pipelined Firefox, I had a considerable lag between loading pages, to the point it would freeze completely occasionally. I often got a warning that something was up with my Graphic's card/Virtual memory is low, messages whenever I played Zomg or any type of flash games. I had enough of that crap and I was just about to buy a new Graphics card this weekend. However, I saw this guide and I was desperate for something that could fix this to a point where, I didn't have to rip out any hair when I was in the middle of something and the page wouldn't load. I got no more errors so far related to my Graphics card. I am so glad I didn't go out and go though all the trouble of buying a Graphics card for my pretty out-dated Dell desktop. xDDD

This needs to be sticky'd like. Right. Now. I can't even freaking believe how fast the pages load now. I'm so going telling all my friends about this "Firefox secret".

>:0 *Bump*
Hows it going everyone,

I am thinking to maybe make some signature badge for this thread which can go into either signatures or profiles. I doubt this will ever be a sticky but having an idle thread banner on a profile could make it easier for people to discover.
