Hey I really like this guide and I really recommend it to everybody that plays zOMG or uses Gaia.

That aside. What is up with the moderate version, still requires testing? Is it safe to use. Do I have to worry about anything?
i tried number 1 and ima try it now in zomg

well 02 moderate version works like wonders for 95% of the people who tried it. Some users experience slower loading or strange loading issues, we are trying to investigate if this is due to connections, PC's or human error.

I would say it's safe to use with a very low risk of side effects and I hope it works for you.

01 works nicely try 02 if you want things even quicker, I'm looking forward to Wednesday's zOMG build update also which has even more optimization smile

I didn't notice much difference

Curious about that, can you tell me if you have a good pc with a good connection or describe your set up please.

Can you have both pipelining things done at the same time? I have a DSL connection that's moderately fast on most other websites. Which pipelining should I do, if you can't have them both at the same time?

well Pipeline 02 is like a more advanced version of 01 so technically yes however once 03 is available then no don't attempt more then one version it may cause conflict issues.

Be sure to remind us when you get 03 ready to go to get rid of 01 and 02 so we don't end up with conflict issues. 01 and 02 together though work well for me.

And I see you got rid of your Ninja Fish in your tank. Sorry to see it go.

I have put the R&D of pipeline 03 in hold for a moment. I'm sorting out various things mainly IRL one of my freelance clients is the finalist of the people's music awards 2009 and were in it for the win. In fact, vote if you like his stuff. http://www.thepeoplesmusicawards.com/mobeatz/

I'll definitely get around to it, it's just going to take a while longer.

I lost the exact page, but I've found several speed guides through Google for Firefox that are optimized for various connection types and I was just wondering since they're all so similar what makes yours different. In particular, I'm curious if someone on a slower connection like dial-up would benefit more from using one of the other guides specializing in that or if yours works equally well across the board.

Good question, there are other pipelining tutorials but most are not up to date. The ones which I use are also custom to Gaia and especially focused on zOMG performance if I find a way of making the pipeline support zOMG better then I'll make it happen smile

Glad to hear it, as I've become somewhat dependent on this setup for my everyday web browsing, even if the only reason I originally tried it was on a prayer I'd be able to play zOMG. Now I'd continue using it even if zOMG was canceled. It's just that useful. ^^;

Thank you, I am glad you are pleased with it and like I always promise I will maintain this thread with more stuff. Pipeline 03 is now officially in the works btw.
