Hmm, I'm surprised you didn't cover the Peeping Tom method for clearing Robofish aggro. xd

For reference, it's the runner moving from a safe screen to a danger screen - while in between screens, hold down the directional key OPPOSITE the direction of movement [say, going a screen to the right, and then holding down the left key in-between screens]. If done correctly, the Robofish won't even notice the runner, and said runner can clear the ENTIRE tunnel without Dazing.

Of course, hardly an excuse to leave your Defib off. ninja

Actually, I didn't learn about it until a few weeks ago.

But when I tried it, I found that . . . the running method's faster, especially if said person can make it to the end on fleet feet or coyote. With the peeping tom method, a person goes in one screen, pops back out, waits a second, goes to the next screen, does the same . . .

I'd say the running method is faster, plus it's easier to do (assuming the people don't have much experience). I'll add it, though.

Quite so. The possibility of having all Defibs ready to go during the first Robofish attack is also good, too.

If it's speed you're looking for, advise people to bring all the protective buffs and Diagnoses they can, most notably Rock Armor. Buff EVERYONE up beforehand, and take on a full screen's worth of aggro at once. I've seen it work beautifully several times. 3nodding

I haven't actually done that, but it'd be a fun thing to try. I think a group of six could take on four robofish, assuming they were smart, buffed, and had a CC ring or two.

But in general, for newer users, it's better to run through the cave once, be defibbed, and then start. It's so much faster that way. :3

What about the robofish areas where there are 6+ fish in the screen? @.@ Hosnap.
Then again, if everyone had slash and another strong AoE. . . -wrubs chin-

This is one of those cases when turtle would be demigodly. XD

RR4 improb or rock armor = win, no doubt.

Homg, now I want to go do this.
Alas, if only I didn't have class. @.@
There is still one more day for the contest. I really don't want to extend it, but if I don't, only one person will have won anything.

Decisions, decisions.

Oh, and I don't remember if I said this already, but I got my 500 grunny sub badge the other day.

I wonder how close I am to barnacle fluffs/clams 5k badges.

Anyone have 5k badges for SS?

8,150 Points
  • Brandisher 100
  • Peoplewatcher 100
  • Tooth Fairy 100
Someone told me they got their Barnacle Fluff 5k badge, but I personally don't have any 5k badges D:

Cleo...do you still remember when we could handle 6 robofish at the same time? That was friggin' awesome. Sadly you got dazed when the sixth had like 45 of life DX

I already have all of them (SS 5k badges), except Grunny Sub Admiral, that badge is freakin' hard. You already know the 5k robos name?

I've got the Fluff 5k, but I don't recall being on a speaking basis with you yet, Ms. RiRi. sweatdrop

I don't know the badge's name, but when I got the grunny one, it was in the robofish cave . . . my pda lit up AFTER I killed a robofish, so . . .I was so excited at first.

And I remember the 6 robofish thing, but that was an accident. We didn't actively try to do it. xD I think it'd be easier now, since they are fewer robofish in the caves. @.@

I think I'm pretty close to one or two of them, at *least* the anchor bugs one, considering the anchor bugs are the same in the seas as in the beach (pretty sure on this).

The 5ks I really want:
Flamingos and Gnomes
Clams, Fluffs, and Robofish

I only go down to VG every now and then to run around and kill some. I'm not actively trying to go for them. :3

What badges are any of your striving for?
I'd be happy if the Tale of Two Seas and Re-Composing badges became glitch-free. DX

Otherwise, Tiny Terrors, Sea Spouts, Anchor Bugs, and all Zen Gardens 5k badges. 3nodding
