I don't know if anyone else knows this but, I opened the gift ten minutes from the start of a new day. So I only had to wait 10 min to open the box again.

Are you sure you didn't just open two different boxes?

If you were able to do this and didn't just open the second present thinking it was the first one, I suggest you report the glitch and don't do it again. It would be considered exploiting and you could get banned if you continue to do it.
