For some reason, Firefox is no longer as compatible with Gaia Online as it used to be; it says I have to download an Adobe Flash player for Firefox, but every time I try to download it, it never downloads due to (insufficient memory), even though I know I've got over 7GB of hard disk space.
confused
Insufficient memory sounds like a ram issue instead of a drive space issue. If you don't have a lot of ram and can't afford to upgrade, you can try adjusting you virtual memory to compensate.
It may have something to do with that one time in October when I had to take my computer into UMD and get a new hard disk installed. My computer now works fine, but sometimes there are issues, like if I insert any USB storage medium or my Memory Stick, then, say, when I try to start up GIMP, I keep getting annoying pop-up messages saying that there were script errors, but otherwise GIMP runs fine.
Anyway, RAM is something I've considered investing in, but lack of funds has of course become a major issue preventing me from getting precious RAM. I once thought about doing something with my comp's Virtual Memory, but for some reason I worry about using it; I feel it could cause imbalances and I would forget about adjusting it when I have to, and stuff.
For now, I'm making do. But as for Silverlight, what is it and how much does it cost?
