NPC's! They were so memorable...
Loot system. Logical and minimalistic. Also simple but effective animations.
Some of the most recognisable monsters like Kokeshi and Gramsters(?). Maybe also the puffs and gnomes.

If you really want some new aspects to the game; I'd suggest to try to add more action and less hangout spots. We already have Towns and Towns 2. We do not need a Towns 3. :s Plus it would be too much work for you guys. Minimalizing the hangout would be a great idea with added game mechanics and mini games. Like... Making jewerly to NPC's with a game similar to Tetris! Or... A cake to a NPC! Or more roguelike death mechanism? The death would mean auto-save and losing all of your loot. More loot, more deaths and required gaming skills. Also that the arrow keys would be the main way to move around. That would also help you guys to develop great puzzles and monster areas. Even traps! wahmbulance

Great ideas spunsugar! I especially like the one about making jewelry Tetris-style. 3nodding The rogue-like idea is very interesting to consider too, and trap mechanisms and switches were actually in the planning stages to implement when zOMG! was shutdown.

I just wanted to let you know in case you weren't aware that this thread has no input in the possible development of zOMG! or any other Gaia feature though. Previously I worked at Gaia, but I don't have any input anymore. xp

If there might be other threads that can take your ideas to more effect, it might be good to post there as well and maybe get feedback from other previous zOMG! players too. biggrin
