for the hundredth time, sir. the download... worked... FINE!!!! IT'S THE INSTALLATION PART THAT'S NOT WORKING!!!! i keep trying to install Beta 3, i have plenty enough space to put it on m y hard drive, but it's that the installation part keeps saying the damn Beta 3 is damaged!!! scream

While it's awesome that Wolven is kind enough to help you, he is not Gaia Online staff. He cannot make another version of the download available to you. He cannot fix your computer. He's just being an awesomely helpful community member by taking the time to try to help you. He isn't obligated to help you. It's their choice to help you.

Just like it's your choice in how you communicate in response. (Being kind is a considerate choice. Yelling at him is not.)

I also looked into this problem...Only because if there was something wrong with the installation it would've affected me too. 3nodding

1) I went to the Staff Updates Post and followed the instructions from there.
2) Installed Adobe Air first then zOMG.
3) Ran zOMG...worked fine for me without any issue.

Typically when I run into an issue with any game (unrelated to Gaia) working, I uninstall and reinstall from scratch. Why not try doing that and use the most up-to-date links in Lanzer's post in the Staff Updates thread?

If that doesn't work, I can't help you as I'm just a community member as well. emotion_yatta You can try taking a look at Bug Reports & Technical Support instead. Make sure to read the Bug Reports & Tech Support: Rules & Guidelines (upd10/28/0 cool before posting.

i'm just frustrated because i loved playing that game when it was on the browser. and now, Gaia pulls this 180 on us and makes a version for adobe air. and now, i'm back to just posting in forums for plat. cry cry

I understand that it's frustrating, but its not Gaia's fault for what happened to Flash. Most popular browsers cannot load any flash games now. If it wasn't for the efforts Gaia took to port the game to Adobe Air, there probably would be no playable zOMG option at all for most people.

As per our conversation in the separate Bug Reports & Technical support thread, I hope that the solution provided works for you. Fingers crossed.

Yes. zOMG has been ported over to an Adobe Air application that can run on Windows or Mac. You can read more about that over here.

There has got to be something specific to your system that yourself and a handful of people are experiencing, but I'll be damned if I know what it is! gonk I asked Lanzer about this error you're getting at the last Dev Meat, but he didn't really have much of an answer. xp

For anyone reading this, has anyone gotten an error message like the one shown and talked about in this post and thread? That might be the best place to compare notes on this issue, because I really don't know why some PC users would get this, but most do not.

It has to somehow be something specific to your computer as all these versions of Adobe Air zOMG! isn't working for you and says about the file being damaged. It's the same file that works just fine for the rest of us, so the message must be wrong saying that's the problem. scream

If anyone can figure this out or have any suggestions, please post in one of these locations to potentially help these Gaians out! biggrin

oh about that collapsing chat and everything going into a corner my cousin thinks he knows whats up but hes trying to get others to replicate what he thinks it is but he wants more proof before he says what he feels it is. because if he can explain how to fully replicate it then lanzer can say please dont do X in the app or you risk chat collapse. i was only able to do what he said 1x it never worked after that but my cousin on the hunt for that answer to help others too
it would be nice to get to the bottom of this too. hopefully he can get enough people to replicate it so it can be fixed or at least looked at and explained

Ah, I didn't realize it was a hard bug to replicate. It seemed so easy when I accidently did it! xd

I'm not sure exactly what I did though as it must have been more than just minimizing the window. I'll try to remember what causes it if I can get it to happen again. biggrin

what i remember doing was i went from the app to the main browser and was changing stuff on other tabs and when i came back about a min or so later it had all collapsed, my cousin had the same thing he also had it happened when he minimized the app but theres like a couple ways to do that one to click from the upper left hand corner on minimize and one from just clicking on the app in a taskbar if you have it pinned there or if you click on restore in the upper left hand corner, all can minimize it but i forgot to ask which methods hes been using however not all his friends seem to be having the same thing its why hes taking his time to find out which method causes the most frequent collapse of the chat
so im sure its a user issue but which one is the most common is still being decided
my cousin is also working on a guide to help users be less frustrated on how to get flash to run on your computers, hes got some good ideas that dont necessarily involve paying for a browser to your computer and he got his ideas from other co workers hes working with. hes already done some alterations based on feedback so hopefully he can fix it up so you and lanzer can look at to give you some other ideas too on how to do flash on a computer
