well, it's not really that dumb an idea... cause if you do it right, it boosts the publicity, and the fans anticipation, and in the end, they may get more people playing. even if they take longer than that. like the whole thing with half life 2, and how long it took... ok, so not that long... but the point is that when the game came out, more people wanted it. im not explaining this very well... am i....
nah i understand. That is a very successful marketing stradegy used commonly today.
What your basically saying is: The longer you have to wait, the more you want something. Correct?
Nintendo did this. They told every that Wii's would be out and they did...kind of...you couldnt really get ahold of one unless you were extremly lucky or you camped outside the store. When/Now that they are out, people are buying them like crazy and their sales are pwning sony's.
exactly. so what im saying is that people that may be turned off to it at first, may just want to play after waiting so long. see what all the wait and hype was about.
