Hello there! This is my guide to zOMG. No, this is not a quest, badge, loot or ring guide. There are lots of guides like that, so I decided not to waste my time doing one.
I know how much you hate being called a n00b, just because you're new to the game and have not learned the basics just yet. Well, this guide might save you from doom of hatred.
This is a newbie's guide to zOMG. This guide will help you improve your etiquette, not act like a noob, and become a more advanced player.

A Newbie's Guide To zOMG!
The Screen

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

      This is the screen.

      The Chat Panel
By hitting ENTER and typing, you can chat. If you type enter whilst having TALK selected, only the peopple that are in the same square as you will be able to hear it. By talking when having SHOUT selected, everyone in the local map will be able to hear you. I suggest you do not use this when you are talking to a person next to you. You might be reported for spamming the Chat Panel. By talking when having CREW selected, only your crew will be able to hear you, the same goes for the CLAN.

      The Buttons
Clicking the Crew Button will open or close your crew panel (depends if you currently have it open or not).
By clicking the Chat Panel Button, you will be able to open or close the Chat Panel.
By clicking the PDA button, your PDA (the screeen that has the maps, current quests, ect.) will open or close.
By clicking the Pose Button, your character will kneel/stand. Kneeling helps you recover stamina and health faster, but if you kneel during a battle, the enemy will deal more damage.

      Ring Slots
There are currently eight ring slots that you can put rings into. Each empty ring slot will count as a CL 1 ring. All rings will be soulbound to you unless you have not equipped them before 8th December. Soulbound means that you cannot trade or sell any of your rings.
You can buy an unsoulbound ring in the Marketplace. It will stay unsoulbound as long as you do not equip it.

      Power-Up Slots
There are currently eight power-up slots that you can put power-ups into. These power-ups will adjust your stats without using your stamina. Power-ups will automatically go into the slots. They do not make a difference to your CL. All power ups are soulbound.

      Your Stats
First, there is your health. I guess you could call it HP (health points). It is self explanatory.
Your Stamina. Stamina is sort of like melee. If you run out of Stamina, your rings will blacken out and you will not be able to use them unless yu have the right amount of stamina.
Then, there is G'hi. G'hi energy adjusts your stats (not your CL though). The more G'hi energy you have, the more your stats will increase. In the picture, I have 28 G'hi, which means my stats will not raise over-dramatically. However, if you have 0 G'hi, your stats will stay neutral and will be only altered by buffs. If you have 100 G'hi, your stats will be raised dramatically.
You will have more chance to get rare loot items, orbs and rings.

      The Rage Meter
The rage meter is very simple to use. When you have at least a tiniest bit of dark red in your rage meter, click on your ring and hold until the dark red changes into bright red, and then release. The more rage you have when you use a ring, the more effect it has.

      The PDA
      Maps.
Global Map: Will show you every single area on scale (but not detailed).
Local Map: Will show you the map of the are where you currently are.
      Quests.
Completed Quests and Badges: this will show you every single quest you have completed.
Incomplete Quests: this will show you the Quests you have not completed yet and what you have to do to complete them.

Getting Started

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Once you're out of the Sewers with your rings, I suggest you do these quests to get you started. DO NOT take the quests from Ian (Denial of Service), Mark (Mark's Ring) and The Maestro (Re-Composing) just yet. They are harder than the others above, and require more skill than yu currently have. For completing them you will get some orbs to power-up your rings, and a new ring as well! Once you've done all of the Barton Town quests and you are still stuck with nothing to do and are short of orbs, why not go to Village Greens and orb farm? Orb famring involves killing a lot of enemies, but it's not exactly hard work, is it? You get orbs, loot, rings and recipes from the monsters there. You can sell the recipes and loot for gold if you want more of a reward for what you have done.
Once you get to CL 2.0, and you have completed all the quests in Village Greens you are free to go to Bill's Ranch, but I won't take you into that much more.

Etiquette Whilst in Battle

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

You know how you're called a n00b and no-one wants to crew with you to do quests? Well, stop it. You have to follow these simple rules...
      1) DO NOT fight someone else's monster. If you want to help, heal or buff from a distance.
      2) You are responsible for the monsters you aggro, not the player next to you.
      3) Do not fight monsters in crew-camped screens. If you are camping solo, be prepared to share the screen -- start a crew or move.
      4) Don't steal crates or chests.
      5) Remember to say thank you for a Defib, buff or anything that seemed nice and helpful.

Remember to use PLAYER INFO. This will tell you 1 of 2 things:
      a) How close a user is to being dazed or exhausted.
      b) How strong they are (stats, Charge Level and Total Charge; even the rings they are holding.)
This will tell you whether someone is being raped by lawn gnomes, or is simply orb farming.

Summary: 9 times out of 10, wading into someone else's battle is a bad idea. If you want to help, heal or buff from a distance.

      _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

      Aggroing Monsters

It is equally rude to interrupt someone's battle as force others to fight your battles.
      SporkMaster5000

Don't drag your quest bosses to some other, stronger crew. I was farming lanterns with a crew and we got both the taiko nexus and lantern nexus dragged onto our screen, which then killed about half of the crew. I don't know if this was someone woefully underprepared running scared or an a*****e intentionally dragging their quest monster to the crew to be killed for them (which I suspect, the person who brought it in certainly seemed to know where they were going).

If you can't hack it, or couldn't put together your own crew, the other players are not your personal army! get dazed, go back to the null chamber and suck it up.

The above has been fixed by instancing the majority of boss monsters.

Then there are players who deliberately direct and unleash monsters onto other for lack of direct KOs. The most infamous of these are the Cherry Fluffs. Some players consider this a sport and justify their actions because their victims were "under-leveled n00bs". NOTHING justifies bullying weaker players like you guys out there. NO ONE has the right to decide wether you should or should not play on a map.
Summary: Be responsible for the monsters you aggro. NEVER force other players to fight (or die) for you.

Crewing Etiquette

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Always have a purpose for your crews. Do not spam-invite random people. Sometimes it leads to warping layers, which can ruin someone's farming experience.
Don't abandon crewmates. Keep in touch. Remember, crews are optional. If you can't work together, or you need to do something else, you are always free to leave, and when you do, tell your crew why you are leaving, and say goodbye.
Act like a crew. There is completely no point to walk around in seperate ways while in a crew.
Work as a team, always have a sort of tactic if you are fighting a boss. No tactics usually lead to death of crew, and somebody getting angry.
If you want a crew for fighting a boss, shout it out in the Chat Panel. Write what you need the crew for, what boss you are going to fight, where is the meeting point and what CL is needed, but remember not to spam the chat panel with your shouts. Don't shout out second after second, or someone will almost obiously report yu.
When you are crewing to fight a boss, do NOT beg for someone to accept you in their high-level group.

Summary: Have a purpose for your crew. DO NOT spam users with invites.

A Newbie's Guide To zOMG!
Overall Friendliness

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Don't be the meanest person and act like someone who you're not and stay in the area where you will most likely find players the same CL as you. If you go into a high level area as a CL 1 (if you even get that far) and act like a bad-a** just because you're there, most players will not like you, shout at you and tell you to GTFO of the map, which is not what you want. Stay in the area you are supposed to be in until you are high enough for the next one. And until you are, you might wanna study about the higher area, so you don't feel like a complete idiot when somebody talks about you geting a quest you know nothing about.

As it is easier to get your current friends to play on zOMG than make new ones, I suggest you do so. Making friends includes a lot of misunderstanding and wasted oportunities, so only try if you have time. I'm telling you this of my own experience.
Some people will laugh at you, and some people will help you, but don't always depend on others' kindness.

Don't piss people off asking them where the Null Chamber of the area is. Instead, just go find out yourself. If you die, you know you're not supposed to be in the area.
Note: I'm only using Null Chamber as an example because I have had people ask me the same question.

Don't beg people to heal, buff, or defib you. It's annoying, so, oh so annoying...

Vocabulary, Grammar and Spelling

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

If Y0U TyPe L1K3 dIs everyone will instantly get the feeling you're a n00b. Why? Because most of the advanced players type like this, with spelling, grammar, punctuation and capitalization. Don't shorten words unless you're doing something that involves a lot of lag, like certain boss battle (aka EB) or are in certain lag filled places (aka Hive, SS).

Don't make yourself look stupid. Read something like this and not ask what everything means. I mean it is okay to ask, but asking every 5 seconds just looks completely stupid.

Okay, so here's the deal. Don't act immature and childish. Childishness leads to some n00bishness and bichiness, which leads to being hated, which leads to anger, which leads to rush, which leads to a heckload of spelling mistakes. I know that this isn't a spelling competition, but you know, it's a basic.
