And this can never be an accident, or if it was, it's only made to look like one, but was actually part of a grand conspiracy.

And all explosions must occur in slow-motion, with your protagonists running to escape the blast.

They are never hit by shrapnel. Also, they never suffer from broken bones due to the shock of the explosions and the impact with the ground or burn damage. This is all just to look super kewl, so why should they suffer realistic consequences?

You just said the word 'realistic'. You are hereby banned from the thread. Go, and hang your head in shame! Realism has no place in fiction of any kind! Didn't you know that?

Books contain messages. It's a criminal offence not to have a moral of the story--it's even worse to have a message that is obscure or unclear. To make sure your point gets across (those readers, they're dam stupid, you know) you must be utterly anvilicious. Repeat your point several times, make the heroes all believe in your moral, and those who don't are dispicably evil!
