"...Stayed home."

"Controlled your life," Dallas added, earning another glare from Julie.

"Being a mom was her job," She finished with a shrug.
"That's what my mom does. But she doesn't control me." Kazu said. "How did she control you?"

"Jules here couldn't make her own choices," Dallas said, throwing an arm over her shoulder.

"Shut up Dal."

"And the one time she did, she got herself killed, ain't that right?"

"Dal... stop," Julie muttered pushing his arm away. "She kind of lived her life through mine... she could brag about her daughter and be a bit higher up on the social ladder."
"oh. I'm sorry." Kazu said quietly, turning his head away. "H-hey, Mr. Dallas. Why d-do you act that way?"

Dallas raised a pale eyebrow, crossing one leg over the other. "Like what?"

"Like a jerk, maybe?" Julie suggested.
Kazu remained silent for a minute. "Why do you pick on her like that? I-it's mean."

Dallas frowned, but remained silent. Julie raised her eyebrows, looking at him expectantly.

"You have no idea, do you?" Julie asked finally.

"Bein' nice ain't exactly somethin' I'm used to," Dallas answered. "Sorry."

"I do mind you asking," Dallas snapped.

"Dal, cool it."

"...Look, I just don't really like talkin' about it," Dallas muttered.

"Yeah... I mean, your parents did hate you. And your dad was a pretty bad drunk-"

"Alright, I get it," Dallas said, cutting Julie off. "How can you not be used to talking to others? Do you avoid people or somethin'?" Dallas asked, looking at Kazu.

"No......people avoid me." Kazu replied quietly, resting his chin on his knees. "They call me a monster, a worthless beast that should never have been born. And it's okay Mrs. Julie, if he doesn't want to talk about it, he doesn't have to."

"You can just call me Julie, you know. Or Jules," she pointed out, smiling at Kazu. "You don't have to be so formal."

"O-okay." Kazu replied softly. "Yeah, but you aren't looked upon as a sin against nature or a mindless killing machine. I'm half demon, but you are an angel. People can accept angels for what they are, but not me."

Lin woke up by a nudge in her side by her companion. "Huh? ..Oh. Well, what would you suggest..." Her eyes started getting heavy again. Atticus bumped her again. "... would be best for a baby hanging off of a balcony by an odd man?" Atticus sighed and shook his head at his odd friend. "I swear.."

"Don't mean that people weren't afraid of me when I was alive," Dallas said.

"Hell, some people are still afraid of you," Julie muttered.

"Point is," Dallas began, glaring at Julie. "Don't matter what the hell I am. People still didn't trust me when I was still a normal human. People likin' me now don't make me feel any better."

"Yeah, but you at least have to feel a bit more comfortable around people, right?" Kazu asked, keeping his gaze on the floor.

"I didn't have a mother..." Nadia said, glancing at Kazu coldly. "well I did, but I don't remember her."

She drained her beer, tossing the stein over her shuolder and wincing as she heard it crash.

"Yesh... so, where are you from again?"
Kazu flinched slightly at the stare and the sound of the bottle crashing against the floor. "I-I'm from an a-alternate realm of earth. W-why did you do that?"

"Because I could... and it was fun. ;]" Leigha responded in delight.

"By any chance, Just out of curiosity, when is the last time you visited your hometown?"

"Eight months ago..." Nadia said, still looking at the broken glass. "Though it's not so much a town... pretty big frickin' city. Howabout you?"
"Longer than I can remember. Don't care much about it." Leigha was tired and this interview began to bore her. Being the person she was, she decided to spice it up a bit.

"SO... Nadia, was it? Are you the same Nadia from <insert your hometowns name here> that everyone talks about?" she asked.

((St. Petersburg, Russia))

"I don't know... depends on whether or not people actually talk about me." Nadia said, chuckling. "BUt I think I am..."

She crushed the glass under her foot.

"How many times have you died?"
