Introduction Ramble

So first off... *bribes everyone with sugar-filled cookies so they'll read everything and look*

Now then with that out of the way... time to introduce to you Blood Siblings

Introduction...

Our breedables ... well not breedables as they do not breed and are not pets... so for your benefit we will just call them by their proper name, Blood Siblings, are custom so will be more expensive since we must put our blood, sweat and effort into it (minus the blood and sweat since that would not be very sanitary).

How they came to be...

Jac (missjtsang) and I decided to make our own breedable since we have always been intrigued by them and wanted to make art for our own. I've had experience in breedables and I own one of my own *points to siggy* while Jac is a good artist and has her own tablet.

I was brainstorming ideas one day for Mystiee and posted this one but under her advice I removed it afterwards and now we're using it ^^. Glad to see one of my ideas actually being used. I started making odd doodles in Photoshop and wrote out a long description for it and sent it to Jac who agreed with it and now they have been created, at least in sketch form.

Flatsales and Auctions...

Since Blood Siblings are custom, we will hold flatsales for the most part with a role play prompt and an order form which we will work out soon. Auctions will be held for special editions and will have 5 (or six if the rare level reached) instead of the 3 (or four if the rare level reached) of regular flatsales.

Updates...

09/06/05- Concept started by missdreamer and missjtsang
09/11/05- Story completed and first doodles drawn.
09/12/05- Winged lineart set begun and the custom purple crayon set for Jacqueline completed.
09/15/05- Blood sibling stage of the purple crayon set CGed and finished.
09/16/05- Blood sibling stage lineart of the winged set.
10/16/05- Purple Crayon set and most of Winged set completed. Interest Thread opened.

*waves* I'm the short fourteen year old of the group from Vancouver who is constantly trying to steal the inches of other tall people *cough*. I like strawberries, the colour pink, colouring, shopping, music and friends <3. I'll be the colourist, other artist, role play manager and partially manager of the shop thread.



But... *gasp*

We need another manager for the shop thread so we'll be hiring when we open. We will hire the one that we talk to and agree is nice and reliable. *nods* So apply! <33

The Setting...

The town was small in normal standards but was quaint and picturesque nonetheless and was surrounded by abundant power. It remained separated in the past and would be in years to come, distant and hidden from the other towns, as they preferred to be. The townspeople lived in peace and prosperity; however, they were blissfully ignorant of the world around them, only aware of their own lives within their village. They were not aware of the abundant magical forces surrounding them and were only concerned with simple matters. They did not possess a thirst for knowledge or new experiences and were perfectly content with how they lived. The surrounding fields were always bountiful at harvest time, golden and ripe hues dominating the area when the time came. These fields provided enough food to feed the entire village well.

A lush green forest surrounded the village, protecting against any possible invasions as well as concealing their existence, which they appreciated greatly, not wishing for outsiders to intrude upon their "utopia". The forest also provided what they needed, such as wood and other building materials. To make sure they would not use up all of what they had been gifted, the cared for the forest well, replanting after using a tree in the forest and using it sparingly. The magic forces that were concentrated in this area helped act as a barrier as well, acting on the general wishes of the people, yet it did not allow anyone to leave its limits as well.

The Stages...

Background Information:

You are on a quest to gain knowledge and to find away to break away from the village in order move on to a new unexplored world. If your determination and spiritual power is strong enough, you may reach the final stage of Gemini Guardian, a rare stage for the more enlightened ones. You have been given a diary and a quill to pour your inner most feelings and thoughts as well as your activities into, which will eventually become a partner or Blood Sibling to accompany you and assist you with your quest.

For the Flatsale sets... (These will be custom and will have role play prompts)

Stage One...Diary and Quill In this stage you will role play writing into the diary and it will last about a week or more depending on the level of role play.

Stage Two...Emerging spirit A spirit appears from your book, holding its sacred item and the feather. It will play the same role as a spirit in an auction set.

Stage Five...Blood Sibling Your spirit has now become a human like figure and it is time for you to make the blood pact (which will be role played as a ceremony with the NPCs) for him or her to become your blood sibling, to accompany you on your quest and protect you with his or her fully developed powers. You are now ready to venture into the forest, which contains many trials to decide whether you are worthy or not to proceed. This stage will also take quite a while to pass as well, even longer than the previous stage.

Stage Six...Gemini Guardian You are now bound to your Blood Sibling and possess the ability to use their powers as well after becoming 'Enlightened'. In this stage you are portrayed together both with the powers and traits of the symbol and you will use your powers to assist those in need of it, travelling throughout the world.


For the Auction Sets... (They will have two more stages than the flatsale custom sets and will be premade).

Stage Two...Glowing Diary After role playing for about a week, your diary begins glowing and responds to you as though another person was writing in response. You will role play this interaction, which is crucial since it develops your Blood Sibling and its personality. At the end of this stage, the diary disintegrates and becomes a pile of ash.

Stage Three...Emerging spirit From the ashes of your disintegrated diary, a wisp of smoke curls up, forming an undefined spirit (with the symbols on the book on it), which will eventually become your Blood Sibling. Your sacred item is buried partially in the ash. In this stage you will role play and interact with it, learning about the world of magic and its purpose for you and directing you to your quest.

Stage Four... Spirit A spirit has formed with the symbols still upon its body and the ashes have blown away. It holds the sacred item and is now defined and changing into its human form. Its powers are developing and its element is now clear. You may now begin your travels, exploring the village further and going on small quests given to you by Jasmine or Theodamus to find items that will assist and lead you further on your quest. This stage takes a while to pass.

The NPC's... Jasmine and Theodamus will be assisting you throughout the path to your destiny.

Jasmine is a beautiful slender woman with wavy ebony hair, cascading down her shoulders and startling amethyst eyes. She wears a lovely forest green skirt with a white laced top.

Theodamus is a wise mage and is a wiry old man with a kind face, wearing old suspenders and normal garb as well as having snow white hair and a matching beard.



Note: Do not steal the artwork we have drawn and coloured. We have worked hard on it and we would not appreciate it being stolen from our hands (not to mention it is against the TOC.)

The winged set will be the first auction for Blood Siblings, by missdreamer. The purple crayon set belongs to missjtsang.

Alright then ^^... I can work on the extra stages for auctions and whenever needed too.. and since I'm lazy for now xP I'll leave your prettiful sketches in your post for now at least... hmm when should we start CGing the first set and finishing up on concept stuff?

... I can't handle that with a mouse though xP strictly traditional media with pencil sketches and stuff like that... last year I drew Alice ^^d
