Grey eyes half hidden by dark glasses, framed by wild purple hair, stared into eyes of the same color, a person with the same face. She studied her image as the small green and blue Robo Frog croaked the time. On her bed a large mass of pink and gray lay intertwined, the two kitsunes fast asleep. Around her throat was the leather collar with spikes, the silver metal warm and almost pulsing to the beat that played in her mind.

"I, was a worm before I was a man
I, was a creature before I could stand
I, will remember before I forget.
Before I forget YEAH!"

....Speaking of forgetting something... She still had to go pick up that new shipment of eggs from the store. The little things had to be carefully watched and nurtured until their colors showed up, then they would be ready for sale to a loving family. With a soft sigh she unclaspt the choker from around her throat and laid the necklace gently on the table before turning on her heels and leaving the room. Yes yes, Cesium was a busy person now a days. And between school and work she didn't know how she found time to even breath.
Zax pawed at the collar, playing with it. Kitiarou, or Cesium, wasn't arround to tell him not to, and it was fun to listen to the snippets of song that danced in his head whenever he touched the black and silver object.

That was one of the perks of being a persons essence personfiyed into an animal, you heard everything they did, you could sometimes predict their reactions, moods, sometimes even thoughts.

Also, things that sensed their aura and energy recognized you as your human original. Like that plant outside. Folly. Hehe, Zax wondered if Cessy knew that this seemingly harmless collar gave off almost the same aura as that plant did. Like it was alive. But sometimes he gave his human counterpart too much credit, like with how she spent her hard earned gold. It wasn't on him damned it! crying
Kitiarou flopped onto her bed with a long, drawn out sigh. It felt good to sink into the mattress, but the jabbing pain in the middle of her back would have to go. She fished around under her, and pulled out the leather collar, wondering when she'd tossed it onto the bed.

Her mind was fuzzy, as it had been for the past two days.

Damn Itzuki and his potions.

As she fingered the warm leather soothing rock filtered in her mind.

Oh oh oh, oh God I...
Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found a photo of the friend that I was looking for
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye
Itzuki was in tears as he slammed the door shut, then slid down the wooden structure to bury his face in his knees. Why? Why did he always get like this? Why did everyone have to walk over him like that? His sorrow and depression soon turned to anger. Who did they think they were walking over him like that when he'd just tried to be nice?

It's just one of those days feeling like a freight train
first one to complain leaves with the blood stain
damn right I'm a maniac
you better watch your back cuz I'm ********' up your program.

Blue eyes narrowed as the song filtered through his mind. Damn. That collar knew just how to add to someones mood didn't it?
Cessy approached the silent collar, wondering if the thing was sleeping, or unable to pick up on her mood. She poked it, and was faintly worried when she didn't even get a bip of sound out of it. At least before she'd get an annoyed garble of guitar, but now, there was nothing. "Damn. I hope Jescobe didn't put his mitts on you." She whispered, putting it on. She shivered, as she felt what felt like tiny hands hugging her arm before the feeling faded. A soft faint echo of violins rose out of the depths of her mind, but it neither got louder or progressed from anything but strings.

At least...she knew the thing was alright.
"Dark Angel Arch Angel Lend me thy light
Through Deaths Veil till we have Heaven in sight..."

Kitiarou sang softly as she cleaned her room. The shadowed hole had become a messy bear cave, with thick blankets shrewn all over the place and dirty laundry piled in the corners. As it was she had both Cobra and Itzuki working on her laundry as she bundled up the blankets and bed linnens, as well as the numerous towels that seemed to have grown under the bed. Zax of course refused to let his bedding be washed until there was literally nothing else in the house to wash, which meant it would be a while before they got to it. Fading Dusk muttered about how dirty her room was, and how she hadn't had a bath yet, and if he was physically he'd pin her and start grooming her in a heart beat.

On a peg on the wall hung her leather choker she'd named Alaeria, as the voice that always sang the songs was female, and she'd eat her bandana if she found out it was male. She'd been around Gaia long enough by now to expect odd things from odd items. Like the new percing place that sold body percings that would eventually change into human like creatures. This collar had to be something like it. or yet again, she'd eat her bandana.
Darkness, the room is dark, and a whisper is heard reciting lyrics from dark music as if they were a mantra. A child is huddled in the corner of the room.
"Arch Angel dark Angel lend me thy light though Deaths veil till we have heaven in sight....
Arch Angel dark Angel lend me thy light though Deaths veil till we have heaven in sight...."
The little girl whispered, rocking back and forth, her lime gaze locked onto the unmoving figure on the bed. Cessy had had another attack the same night as she'd 'awakened'. Her first sight of this material world was the thrashing, gasping form of her 'mother'. Eventually the attack ceased and she'd drifted off, oblivious to the form of the girl in the corner, watching with her heart in her throat.

"Arch Angel dark Angel lend me thy light though Deaths veil till we have heaven in sight....
Arch Angel dark Angel lend me thy light though Deaths veil till we have heaven in sight...."
"Nag nag nag. All you ever do now a days is Nag!"
"Well if someone didn't nag you, you'd forget to take your vitamins, and you'd get all animic again, then you'd get lethargic and-"
"Shut up Itzuki. I hate you at the moment."
"Gee, I love you too Owner. I'm in my room if you decide to act like an adult again."
Alaeria watched the argument with little amount of understanding, only knowing the what ever her mommy wasn't doing was bad, cuz Brother Itzuki, was yelling and he never yelled. She frowned and tugged on Kitiarous tail, causing the older girl to look down and wince. "You're getting on my case too? First it was Zax, then Cobra, after him it was FadingDusk and Itzuki.... sheesh, fine. I'll take the damn pills. Okay?" Alaeria nodded solomly and lifted her arms, almost immedatly getting picked up and carried to the kitchen where she watched Kitiarou down two orange colored pills with a glass of water. The face she made afterwards told just how bad it probably tasted.
"Mommy better?" Alaeria asked, sitting at the kitchen table with a pad of paper and some crayons, working on her practically non-existant writing skills. The girl had a good voice, that would only get better as she grew older, but her hand writing skills sucked, though she could read it. "Aa, Mommies getting better." Kitiarou murmured distractedly, eyes darting from side to side as she read the paper. Death death death and more death. Oh! There was a flood that killed more people too. Hhhmm. Ah, the comic strip, just what she'd been looking for. "Brother Cobra with 'Ric." Alaeria said, returning her attention to the paper, then to the open book next to it.
"Brother Cobra is/i] with 'Ric." Kitiarou corrected, attempting to get her little girl into the habbit of speaking correctly. "And yes he is. He spent the night with him."
"Hurt."
"....Yes. Cobra was hurt a very long time ago. He's still healing."
Lime colored eyes looking up from her paper, where she'd taken to doodiling along the edges instead of practicing like she was supposed to. "Will he be better?"
"He'll be fine. We love him, we wont hurt him, just like Alaric wouldn't hurt him. Don't worry about your brother, he's dealt with his pain for a long time. You on the other hand, need to start working on those letters!"
Kitiarou fanned herself as she held the water bottle out to Alaeria, who looked a lot worse for wear then the wolf-tailed girl did. "The bus will be here soon, and we don't have to sit out in the sun anymore." She said, hoping her words were true. The two of them had been stuck there, after Kitiarous Japanese class had been let out, only to find that the bus had left 10 minutes early. Thankfully the sun wasn't at midpoint, and it wasn't as hot as it could have been. As it was, it was hot enough for her purle clad gothic child, who'd turned a marvelous shade of red in the hour they'd been outside. What little water was left was warm, though Alaeria didn't complain as she chugged it, then went to toss it out. By the time she made it back the bus had pulled up, and offered it's chilling cold interior to the two sweating, sunburned females. Picking up her adopted daughter, Kitiarou paid their fare, and thankfully entered the bus, only to go from uncomfortably hot, to teeth chattering cold in 15 minutes.

An hour anda half in the sun, then an hour in freezing cold bus did not do wonders for Alaerias health. She was sniffiling and in pain, her large expressive green eyes showing the world just how much she loathed it at the moment. "Hold still! I can't put the aloe on if you keep squirming!" Kitiarou said firmly, rubbing the cool green gel onto the little goths arms and face, and generally anywhere else that hadn't been covered by purple cloth or black stockings. Alaeria shivered and made to move away again, but the firm ( and painful grip on her arm ) prevented her from going too far. "Do you want to blister?" She said finally, letting the black haired girl go. Alaeria slid away, then shook her head, knowing how painful the waterfilled blisters were. "Good, now sit still!"
