3. Only submit your own work. If you don't and win, I will blacklist you and repossess the pet. If you don't and lose, I will blacklist you and repossess any pets you own from any of my shops.

Entry:

I expect at least 3 well-written paragraphs, and no more than 2 pages single spaced times new roman size 10.

PLEASE remember that owners do NOT interact! ONLY SATYRS! You may use other Satyrs if you own others, but the focus should be on the Satyr you're trying to obtain.

Prompt #1

Your Satyr has been abandoned by the group, and is now lost within the forest when a fire starts. How does your Satyr survive?

Prompt #2

Your Satyr comes across a tiny goat plush hidden in a bush. On the back, there's a tag which has some human markings on it-- letters, your Satyr thinks they're called. This probably means humans are nearby-- and humans are dangerous. But the plush seems well loved... what does your Satyr do?

Compose a love letter from your Satyr to their ideal dream mate.

Number of Prompt You're Writing For: #2
Prompt You're Writing For: Your Satyr comes across a tiny goat plush hidden in a bush. On the back, there's a tag which has some human markings on it-- letters, your Satyr thinks they're called. This probably means humans are nearby-- and humans are dangerous. But the plush seems well loved... what does your Satyr do?
Entry:

Laiqua was trotting carelessly along a thin Human path through the forest, heading east towards the pond for a drink of water. The pond was in sight when he tripped suddenly, sprawling over himself and landing solidly on his face, getting dirt in his eyes. Muttering angrily to himself, he stood up, looking down to see what had tripped him. Imagine the little satyr's surprise when he discovered it was no stick or stone at all, but rather, a colorful blob of fabric! Plopping down onto his bottom, Laiqua cradled the doll in his arms, rotating it for a full inspection. Wait; what was that? Lifting the doll closer to his face, Laiqua noticed a small white tag, with messy black scrawlings on it. It almost looked like that silly thing Humans called writing! In fact, it probably was. The doll was certainly no Satyr he had ever seen! It appeared well loved, too.

Laiqua cradled the doll lovingly, before a minor wave of guilt hit him. the toy was obviously someone elses, and as much as he liked it now, he knew, rather uncomfortably, that it was really only because he had found it that he liked it. After all, what kind of creature didn't have horns? just those silly Humans, that's who. With a sigh, half of resignation and half of disappointment, Laiqua picked up the doll in his mouth, and began trotting throught he forest towards the place where he had seen signs of humans before, his previous thirst forgotten. He was out of sight of both the path and the pond when a memory hit him. He wasn't to go to the Humans; they were dangerous. the young Satyr was frozen with indiscision for a moment; go back, or return the doll to it's proper owner? Finally, the latter won; he could be sneaky, after all, and put it in the center of the campment without the Humans noticing. Yes; that was a good plan.

A good hour had passed before Laiqua reached the Human camp; he had had to go slow, to aviod leaving a trail, and to aviod being detected. As his sharp eyes glimpsed the round tents through the trees, he slowed almost to a crawl, silently creeping forwards through the underbrush. And what a sight met his eyes! At least three Humans- no, four- were crawling around on their hands and knees around the camp, apparently looking for something, while one of their young sat in the center of the camp, wailing. he had no idea what they were looking for, but he assumed it was important; good, less chance that he would be noticed. He crept to the edge of the trees before darting out and laying the doll carefully in the gap between two tents, before dashing back to the forest, and turning around to watch with interest. It was only moments later that one of the largest of the Humans discovered the doll, and, with a shout of triumph, jumped to it's feet. The others followed suit, carrying the doll over to the young one, who snatched it with a cry of glee. Laiqua frowned, preplexed, as he left; what strange behavior they had exibited. Oh well. At least he had returned the doll!
