Hello and Welcome to the Blue Cheshire-Moon!We would love for you to come in and say hello, bump a bit and maybe make some conversation. We enjoy making new friends and we are addicted to donating! We pride ourselves on the fact that our donations come straight from the heart, as our regulations are a bit different than most charities on how to go about getting a donation. Our rules are something that we have because by reading them and following them, it gives us the information we need to make a decision as to who is donation-worthy. Just because you follow the rules, though, does not mean you'll definitely get a donation. We use the rules to weed out the non-deservers and beyond that, we use our gut instinct to tell us the rest. Well, I hope you enjoy your time here at this friendly charity and good luck to everybody on getting their dream items and avis!

These are not only rules for recieving an item from The Blue Cheshire-Moon Charity, but they are general rules that all gift-recieving Gaians should follow. We won't tolorate people begging...not in this charity. We only deal with worthy Gaians and following these rules will surely help one be a worthy Gaian for receiving any donations.


1 )Please, if a charity asks you to post in a certain color when asking for a donation, do so. Our preference is blue. If you do not post in blue, your application will be ignored! Most charities don't ask this just to see if you're following the rules, although it is a good way to tell. They ask because they are in and out a lot. Posts are missed. Sometimes several pages. People don't usually have a lot of time to read every post word for word. If you post your reason in the color asked, you'll get noticed. They'll see that it is an inquiration about a donation, and will be sure to read it and consider it. Please, post in the color asked. It's for your own good.

2 )Be sure to include the information the charity asks for. If you do not have a quest thread, please post the info that you'd regularly find in a quest thread.

****We want the reason you/they deserve a donation. NOT the reason you want a donation or the reason you want the item! What do you contribute to Gaia and/or the real world? Do you have any special activities that you think might make us want to give you a donation? Talk yourself up. Also, when typing your reason, be sure that you DO NOT say "Well I can't really say why I'm better than others, so I'll just let you decide." While it's a good thing to be modest, we can't really base our decision if you don't have a solid reason.

Note: These are NOT forms. You do not have to post in this exact format. It's a guidline. You must have that information in your post. How you post that information is up to you! Creativity is a good thing!

3 )Try not to quote your post. We only suggest you do so if you've been neglected for 3 weeks plus. We are very busy ourselves, but we'll try our best to get your application reviewed as quickly as we can. We will all do the best we can to read and respond to everybody's reasons in a timely fashion.

4 )Please be sure that the people you're asking to donate to will be able to PM you! Some people have their PMs set to accept only from people on their friends list. We may be notifying people via PM if they are accepted. We PM for special events, or special circumstances. Many people send PM notifications. If we cannot PM you, we can not guarantee you a donation.

5 )Please, check back to the thread often. We usually notify people inside the thread if they will be recieving a donation. Sometimes we ask for further information, and if the information is not given, we will decline you a donation.

NOTE: Please be aware that we may ask you some follow-up questions when we review your application. Nothing personal.

6 )Do not advertise in this thread.

7 )Follow the ToS!

8 ) If you're reading the rules and you're a newbie, you won't post your favorite color.

9 )If you applied, but did not recieve a donation, you may apply again in 3-4 weeks, or 15 pages later. If you have recieved a donation, you may try for another one in 2 months, or you get half-way in a new quest. We only give out two(2) donations per person. We only allow two(2) applications per donation.
If you have applied once for a donation for somebody else, you may apply directly after for yourself or a different person. Be sure you make it clear the application is different from the first!

10 )NO REVISIONS MAY BE MADE ON ANY APPLICATION AFTER IT HAS BEEN REVIEWED OR COMMENTED ON!

11 )If you are accepted for a donation, please be patient. We have very busy lives and there are few of us that have access to the charity mule. We will send you a donation within a couple days of your acceptance. If it's been more than a week since you've been accepted and you have not been sent your donation, please contact .Beauty.Kween. or cherrydevil328 via PM. Note: This is the ONLY time an applicant may PM a staff member about a donation.

Things NOT to say OR do when trying to get a gift:
This is not only for my thread, but this is a general "Do Not Do" list for asking for donations anywhere! It might do you good to follow these!

1 )Just because you say it's your birthday, doesn't mean we should give you a gift. So, don't bother using that excuse. If you do use it, at least add more to the reason than that it's just your birthday.

2 )Saying you're greedy just gives us a BIG reason not to give you a gift. We'll be able to tell if you are greedy or not by your reason.

3 )Quoting yourself over and over shows us(and others) you're greedy and impatient.


4 )If we can't tell what you are trying to say (This includes using U, R, L337, "n00b" talk and the obvious lack of english skills) we can't give you a gift...because we can't tell if you deserve it or not. Sorry. This does not count if you are of a different ethnicity. If you normally speak spanish(or any other language), but you are trying to speak english, let us know and we will not count it against you.

5 )PMing any of us will just get you hated. (See rule #9)

6 )Do not try faking a death. If your dead friend, mother, father, Grandmother, Grandfather etc. wants you to have a gift...they should have given it to you themselves, or gave it to somebody else to give to you. Hint: Who-ever it was that "died" did not give us a gift to give to you. Go search elsewhere.

7 )If we tell you no to a gift...DO NOT KEEP ASKING AND BEGGING! NO MEANS NO! The more you beg, the more you'll hear the word no. We will not get sick of you and give you a gift to make you go away. We'll just have a MOD remove you.

8 )If you'd like a donation, you should read the rules...and follow them. Don't just come in here begging for a donation. There is a large difference between begging and requesting. Begging will NEVER be answered with a gift. Requesting might, depending on how well your reason and how much we think you deserve a gift.

9 )Don't say you're questing without telling us how long you've been questing, what you are questing for, how much you have towards your quest so far, and giving us a link to your quest page if you have one. We need as much information we can get when choosing the best people to send gifts to. We will not make an uneducated donation.

HUGE GIGANTIC NO-NO:

Do NOT post anything about how long you have to wait or how long you think it'll be until you get your application reviewed. Do NOT post anything about how long you have to wait until your donation gets confirmed on my end. I know you're impatient and anxious to see if you're going to get a donation, but please. It gets really frustrating to read a thousand posts of people mumbling to themselves about the next time somebody'll be online.

I'll just patiently sit here twiddling my thumbs until someone comes along and reviews my application.
To me, that is not showing you're being patient. If you have to sit there and twiddle your thumbs in hopes of being patient, don't post it. Say it out loud if you have to. Say it to your cat if you have to. Post it in the chatterbox randomly if you have to. But do NOT post it here.

We(Beauty and Cherry) don't have a lot of time to be on Gaia anymore, and I don't predict that'll change until the summer rolls around again. Right now, we are the only ones working here. There's a few staff here and there, and a few bumpers here and there, but we are the only ones working here. We're certainly not blaming anyone. We know what it's like to be busy. We're only saying this so that you may understand that nobody is here 24/7. We have lives too.

If you didn't mean to do this, that's okay. But if you're expecting a confirmation on your donation or if you're waiting to get your application reviewed, PLEASE BE PATIENT.

We're looking for staff. There are several positions available. Cherry and Beauty have very busy lives and can not be on 24/7. As a matter of fact, we aren't even on every day. We desperately need workers here, so that applications can be reviewed and questions may be answered promptly. We need workers to help with events as well. I'm 13, but I really don't care about mature content and such. (like I'm perfectly fine with swearing and stuff.) I get really addicted to things, like at the moment I'm addicted to Final Fantasy X. I have really weird online times- I go to a private school that's an hour away from where I live. Sometimes I can get on at school, but my usual online times are (in EST) 5:30-10ish on weeknights, 5-30-really late on Fridays, and all day on Saturday/Sunday. The two things I'm mainly obsessed with right now are Miroku and Mari Yaguchi, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. xp
