Though many of you believe so and have held it against Gambino, sometimes even as a primary tactic to promte the Von Helson name, this simply cannot be true. The reason: the GAIA Online TOS. Rule two of the TOS clearly states "Users may not promote the idea of, or directly harm minors in any way." So, they simply would not create a NPC that goes against the rules that they, themselves instated. Thusly, Gambino is innocent.

Gambino has shown himself to be neglectful at the very least, with a sure possibility of emotional abuse. No physical abuse that we can prove, perhaps, but that doesn't mean it isn't there.

Gambino has called his son worthless countless times. He has openly admitted to the Gaian public that his son is not allowed to eat at the table... one can only assume he is forced to eat on the floor.

But, even if Gambino did neglect his son...at least he's learned his lesson now and has begun to set his ways straight. Sure, the man's become a little megalomaniacal but wouldn't you if nearly half the population loved you? He has every reason to be power mad.

Also, you have to also differentiate what maybe considered "abuse" in one culture... may be considered "parenting" in another.
I grew up in a similar environment. (I'm from a hispanic background... and I'm going to assume ... as many others are assuming and seems to be the trend here.. that the Gambinos are Italian). There was love, but then there were words... it was just "normal" for us. But not many others see it that way.

Perhaps that's why i'm a bit crazy today because of it. sweatdrop

the "touching" story of Gambino's search for his son. How many times have you heard this one? The parent royally screws up, and expects the child to take him or her back and forgive everything the horrible parent did because the parent is "better now" and "wants to be a real dad/mom."

How utterly dripping with saccharine. Does that happen in real life? No. No matter how much your parent wants to stop being an alcoholic/methhead/abuser, behaviors like that don't just turn off.

I'm even less inclined to believe Gambino's change with the current psycotic raving he goes through on top of his big freaking phallic symbol.

If he had meant 'kiddie table,' wouldn't he have said 'sit with the adults' or something like that? His statement uses the article "the," indicating singular. One table.

To decide wether this is abuse or not, I take a look at Gino. Does the boy look happy? EVER? he is constantly harangued by his father for being small and weak and helpless. Now, I'm not expectly constant cuddles, but growing up with ZERO positive feedback on everything you do tends to seriously ******** up your mind. The kid believe his is, indeed worthless, and the s**t that follows takes years of therapy to overcome... if ever.

I know. I've seen this happen to real live people.
