There will be two instruments up for grabs today: Trumpet and Oboe.

You will have to write based on one of the prompts below. Just because the instrument is specific in the prompt doesn't mean you will have to write to win that instrument. You may choose either prompt and may post your response after and ONLY after I write a "begin" post. From that post, you will have 1 hour to come up with the best response you can. In an hour, it will be over, and any posts after that will be invalid in participating.

The winners will be decided promptly. First-place of the flatsale will get first choice of instrument, and the runner-up will get the second. Those two should send a trade to me with 10k inside, and their Symphonica will be PMed to them shortly after.

You ask how that happened. Write the story that the student tells you, in meticulous detail and from the view of the student or as yourself.

On a war-torn and desolate battlefield, a lone trumpet lies in a thicket of bushes in the outstretched hand of a fallen soldier. Write a story based on the last moments of his life.
