The Story Thus Far

Truthfully not much is known about the Efui. Though they have coexisted with people for centuries as a domestic-type of pet.

It was said that Efuis existed before even the first human, and lived in a highly evolved and enlightened society. What made them de-evolve, so to speak, is a mystery. Could they, like Icarus, have flown too close to the sun in their arrogance? Are humans now doing the same thing, in creating medicine and science too close to the powers of the gods?

Further research needs to be investigated about these mysterious Efui, and why traces of their genes are so highly sophisticated and complex. Their fall because of pride and vanity is perhaps something we can take heed of.

Information

About three feet in height (four in length), the Efui makes a generally suitable household pet. Its attitude is quite similar to a household cat, though its memory is remarkable. Efui have are also quite stubborn with clearly established personalities: some are adamant, some vain, and a select few unnaturally intelligent. Again, could the intelligence be traces of some uknown gene within the Efui?

The Efui DNA pattern is still unstable. If given a certain type of radioactive gemstone to hold, the Efui will change colours, much like a chamaeleon, and sometimes distort in form (though this is highly unlikely and very rare). Due to their versatility in fur colours because of their colour changing properties, Efui are vain and make extremely good showcase pets.

The first stage, and the one where the Efui is most vulnerable, and it still needs to hatch! Give it some time.

As the little Efui grows up, it becomes more curious about the environment and its surroundings. Make sure not to give it shiny things (especially those precious Efui-specific gemstones!) Otherwise, the poor thing might end up with multicoloured fur . . . and we wouldn't want that, would we?

Now is the time to fully explore the possibilities of making your Efui as beautiful (and unique) as possible. The adult Efui's fur will change accordingly to the different amulets it is given. Beware, for some rarer amulets may and can permanantly alter your Efui's colour and form. Be sure that you know what you're doing beforehand!

This is the last and final stage . . . or is it?

Recently there has been a discovery of quite some rare amulets. Not only are they pricier than the normal ones, but rumours are that they can do even stranger things to your Efui . . . I wonder if you should buy one . . .

General Rules

- Do not, under any circumstance, steal/alter/claim any of the images. The same goes for the original Efui design and concept.
- Do not PM us in regards to getting an Efui.
- Keep in mind the golden rule: treat others as you, yourself, would like to be treated in return; fighting/arguing/harrassing of others in the thread will not be tolerated.
- Use common sense. This means no posting content over the PG13 rating, among other things.
- Please do not advertise (without permission)
- No overusage of 'l337' speak. Throwing in a phrase here and there is mine, but otherwise, no. Just . . . no.
- Co-owning is allowed, unless stated otherwise.
- Posting/RPing is not mandatory, although it is encouraged and required if owners wish their Efui to be given breeding rights.
- Please have patience when waiting for your Efui to be accessoried or altered (colour-wise, markings-wise; whatever). Both of the owners have lives outside of the internet and Gaia . . . honest.
- Direct linking is allowed (and required) until the Efui is an adult. Then, please make certain to save and upload the image(s) to your own server!

Flatsale Rules

- The flatsale does not officially start until either Chibizoo or Atarashii post (in big, bolded and red) font!
- Unless stated otherwise, all flatsales are run on a first come, first serve basis.
- One Efui per person, per every other flatsale. Owners can have a maximum of two flatsale Efui, only.
- Purchasing an Efui for someone else (ie. friend) is allowed, although in doing so the user forfeits one of his or her chances at getting one via flatsale.
- Make certain to clearly state which Efui you're trying for! In other words, do not go 'I want the one on the left!' or 'I want the (fe)male!' . . . or anything else just as vague. Remember, we are not psychic. biggrin
- DO NOT EDIT YOUR REQUEST POST! This is considered cheating, and if someone is caught doing so, he or she will be blacklisted. No ifs, ands or buts.
- Do not send trades until the final winners are announced.

RPing Rules

- NO GODMODDING!
- Keep all content PG-13.
- The sole pets allowed to be RPed are Efui (of course), other pets in which Chibizoo has done lineart for, or pets from shops in affiliation with this one.

There comes a point in all Efui lives when love is in the air, and results in more Efui. Unlike other species, no matter what the coupling is of (ie. male/female, male/male, female/female) the Efui can breed; as long as, of course, all are consenting adults. wink

Breeding itself costs 10k (10000g); 5k (5000g) from each owner. This is due to the fact that the resulting offspring of two Efui contain different poses than their parents (both child + adult), along with inherited traits from both parents.

Each session (lasting from a few days up to a week or longer) can produce from two to four eggs, although the latter is rare. In the event that three eggs are produced, one egg goes to each parent and the third goes to the shop.

Other Information

- In rare cases will a cosplay Efui produce offspring that is also cosplay.
- Should a GS Efui breed with another GS Efui, the resulting offspring will all be G2. Though, should a GS Efui breed with, say, a G1(+) Efui, then the resulting offspring will be of the generation after the non-GS (ie. GS + G2 = G3)
- Efui are allowed to breed with generations just one above their own. (ie. G1 + G2) The resulting offspring will always be the generation after the 'younger' Efui (ie. G1 + G2 = G3)
- Efui who are lifemated will not breed with Efui other than their designated lifemate. (a bit redundant, and obvious, but . . .)

There will be three available slots at one time. Keep in mind that both owners must be consenting and state their consent in the thread (or PM, should you wish) Also, the owners must've been active (whether it's just interacting with other owners, or RPing) to be considered eligible for breeding.

Remember: Breeding fees and PMs are to be sent to Efui.

Owners are given five options on what to do with the eggs resulting from breeding:

- Keep.
- Give to someone else.
- Sell to someone else for 500g.
- Auction. Cap is 15k, and 25% goes back to the shop.
- Raffle. Cap is 10k (total), and 25% goes back to the shop.

(Permission is to be given should you choose to auction or raffle off your eggs)

It is much appreciated if all owners let us know what you're planning on doing. It helps prevent any unnecessary confusion that might occur. wink

Flatsales

Flatsales can be held at any time, and will be announced beforehand. There will be around four to six eggs per sale, along with some pendants (in the kiosk)

Unless stated otherwise, all sales will follow the given flatsale rules (stated a couple posts above this one)

All flatsales will be 500g.

Preview

The following are miniature Efui. Miniature Efui have two stages only, and the adult is about the same size as a normal Efui child would be.

Mini-Efui cannot be winged or amulet'd, although at times they might come in simplistic patterns.

As of right now, they can not be bred, although they can be RPed and participate in Efui events. :3

There are two females (top two), and two males (bottom two). Each egg will cost 300g. 3nodding

Efui hatch and grow in basic colours. However, if you wish to give yours some flair or style, then an amulet can be purchased from the kiosk.

In example, I have a male Efui, plain as can be. So, to give him a less plain look, he's given an amulet that allows for stripes.

Like stated before, different amulets can produce different results - so feel free to experiment!

Please note, though, that each Efui can have just two colour-changing or marking-adding amulets, and one wing-giving amulet. Plus, all occuring results are permanant, and cannot be changed . . . so think before acting!</center>

In the case that a person wants an Efui, but doesn't see one he or she likes in a flatsale (or he or she was unable to get one in a flatsale) nor doesn't wish to wait for an auction or raffle, then a custom can be ordered!

Customs allow for the, well . . . customising . . . of an Efui.
