<center>First Encounter</center>
One hand instantly went to shield her eyes as the sunlight's bright rays laid on her eyes. It was such of a hot day. She reminded herself that she needed to plant another tree. There was clearly not enough shade available! With one swift motion to her backpack, she retrieved her water bottle. After about four thirst wrenching sips, she finally stopped to observe her backyard. It was really turning out nicely. All of the flowers which she planted were blooming already. She was just about to do a weeding job, when she noticied something moving swiftly, behind the great oak tree, which marked the ending of her area.
'Is somebody there?", she asked nervously, before taking a few steps closer. It was just like in the horror films.. where the victim approaches the killer despite the gut feelings to run away. Perhaps, it was the fact that it was broad-daylight, which made Dia feel a bit bold.
Just as she reached the tree, she noticed a single green hair ribbon laying on the ground. She started to reach down to pick it up, when she noticed a pair of small feet before her. Quickly, she leapt up before almost loosing her balance. She came face to face, with a small brown haired girl, with the most distinctive green eyes.
"Whoa, who are you?", she asked while placing her hands on her hips. It wasn't every day that kids appeared in her backyard. For the most part, the neighborhood was occupied only by adults, with the exception of her own adopted children.
"I'm.. well... I don't really know", the young girl replied with a frown. Her face seemed quite puzzled. The sight was especially odd seeing as the girl couldn't have been older then nine.
'What do you mean? Don't you have.. parents?", Dia asked as her face twisted in curiousity. It wasn't untill the words were spoken that Dia noticed for the first time, the pair of light green wings which layed on the girl's back.
"I don't think so.. all that I can remember, is waking up here.. next to this tree", she said before slowly looking over towards it.
This was a new situation for Dia. What was she to do? She couldn't have very well just left her out in the backyard. And something about this girl, made Dia think that she wasn't of the human race. Okay, so maybe it was the obvious wings, but still. Perhaps, her parents were looking for her at this very moment. With a slight sigh, Dia came to a conclusion. She'd simply, have to take the young girl in for a moment. Afterwards, they'd find her rightful parents.
Dia looked down at her hand to realize that she still had the ribbon in hand. While gently pulling the young girl closer, so that she could tie her pigtail back up, she said, "Well, it looks like you're going to stay with me for a bit. I'll promise to help you look for your real home though, before things are finalized here."
She was expecting a negative, or even sad response. But instead she receievd the complete opposite. To her surprise, the young girl squeezed her hand tightly before saying,"Great! I've been lonely". And with a slight blush she added, "And also very hungry".
Dia couldn't help but chuckle. "Well, you're in luck. Tonight I'm making my lasagna specialty!". Still holding onto the girl's hand, Dia started to guide her back to her house while listening to her enthusiastic thoughts on her garden and the meal which awaited her.

<center> The Phone Call... </center>
It feels so wierd to have yet another child to care for. It all happened so quickly. But I can't say that I regretted having met her. She's the most sweetest thing. She's a bit shy, but that's alright. I wouldn't mind taking care of her.. forever that is. But there is still the matter of her origin. We did search for her parents.. but after placing up fliers after fliers someone finally contacted me. The conversation went a bit like this:
"Hello.. my name is Keltrice. I'm calling about your fliers on the young winged girl...", the soft voice on the other ended said.
"Oh yes! I'm Dia! Do you know her? I mean.. are you her guardian?", I frantically responded.
"Um, no. I actually don't know her.. nor have I seen her before. However, something about her is.. familiar", Keltrice replied a bit hesitantly.
My spirits were crushed for the young girl, but nevertheless I was curious about what this stranger was referring to.
"What do you mean?", I asked.
"Well, her picture. It's something about her appearance. Not to mention her wings.. that makes me wonder if she's somehow related to the Shee Garden", she said quickly as though eager to let her suspicions out.
"The what?", was my reply. What was she speaking about?
"The Shee Garden. It's this place in Gaia.. where these beings um.. hang around. I've heard that they're related closely to the garden. I don't know what it is about the place. But I've seen a few of them.. and some of them even have wings like the little one that you've found! And her face.. the eyes.. I'm pretty confident that she's somehow related with that place", Keltrice finally said.
It took me a while to take this all in. A garden? Wierd. But I was willing to look into anything to help find my newest charge find her home.
"Wow. I can't say that I'm not a bit.. uh surprised. But.. where did you say that this garden was?".
<center>~*~</center>
And that was pretty much the entire conversation. I took down the directions to the garden, and I'm planning on visiting there soon. Who knows what I'll find. Hopefully, it's a match.

<center>A Naming...</center>
Dia who was adjusting to having now two little girls running around the house, was busy setting up lunch. It was actually, a little past two. Everyone seemed to be running late in the household for one reason or another. She was smearing the peanut butter on one slice of bread when she noted how unusally quiet it was. That's when a loud scream interrupted her thoughts.
"Diiiaaaaaaaa!!", came the proclaimed scream from the playroom. Dia dropped the butter knife on the floor, before taking off to the direction of the scream.
"What? What is it??", she asked frantically before arriving in the room. She expected to see a horrific scene. Something like strangers invading the home, or half of the ceiling landing onto the ground. But no.. that scene was actually normal. The winged one layed sprawled out on her stomache, face planted before the telelvision. Squishler, having an almost similiar position layed next to her. They both seemed to be watching some cartoon.
"Dia! Can I be called Miylin?", the winged one asked with a gleeful expression.
"Huh?", was Dia's dumbfounded reaction. Called, what?
"Miylin! Can that be my name? It's a pretty one. Just like hers!", she said before pointing towards the telelvision at the cartoon character with the beautiful brown hair.
"Yea, and she does look like her kinda", was Squishler's input.
It took Dia a while to comprehend what they were talking about. It made perfectly sense though. Who wouldn't want to have a name? The though had never occured to her thought. For the past few days, she'd been contempt with calling her,"Winged One". Of course, it was a bit silly to expect one to be satisfied with such of a name.
"So can I?", she begged with pleading eyes.
"Uh, I guess", Dia replied with a smile.
"Yay!", both girls squealed before turning their full attention back towards the cartoon.
Dia couldn't help but giggle. It was a funny thing. A naming. Well, it had to come sooner or later, she guessed. Even though, Miylin's origin was still unknown, she couldn't help but feel that she was growing attached to her. What would happen if she had to give her up? Dia couldn't bare to think of such of a thing as she made her way back to the kitchen. For now, she had to get those lunches ready. Half an hour past two o'clock now!

<center>A visit to the Shee Garden</center>
Today we took a visit to the Shee Garden. Well, actually, Miylin went in herself. I stood outside, because Miylin insisted that she had to go in herself. She seemed to change from the moment that we reached the place. Her whole attitude. Not in a bad way though. Just in a peaceful manner. So, I waited eagerly outside as she went in. After about half an hour or so, Miylin came out with the greatest smile on her face. She also greeted me with a tight hug. It wasn't untill we reached home that she told me what happened.
After the explanation, Miylin was left in a state of confusion. Before, she knew it, she had fallen asleep on a warm grassy area. She only slept for a few minutes before remembering Dia. Quickly, she ran out of the garden as a though occured to her. Because she came from a flower.. that meant that she didn't really have parents! She could live with Dia! How wonderful!

Miylin
Miylin walked about the garden while stopping every once and a while to observe a flower. The many different types interested her. She wondered quietly to herself if she would meet anyone. Of course, she felt the idea made her feel a bit shy.. but Dia had been telling her that she had to meet other Shee has herself.
"Ooo", she said as she noticed a small lone green flower in the mist of a patch of yellow daisies. Slowly, she kneeled down before her, before touching it's petals gently.

Kuile
With a loud rustling of leaves, she dropped from the tree, landing softly on her feet. "I'd be careful with that, it could be the next Shee.." She scanned the girl with glittery purple eyes. "I didn't expect to see you back so soon.."
Miylin
Miylin jerked her hand back, and quickly stood to her feet when she heard the voice. Now facing this girl, she couldn't help but stare curiously. What did she mean, she hadn't expected to see her so soon? Do I know this person, Miylin pondered to herself.
"Uh.. who are you?", she asked a bit fearfully while preparing her legs to run if neccessary.
"Uh.. who are you?", she asked a bit fearfully while preparing her legs to run if neccessary.
Kuile
"Kuile," she replied simply, before turning back to face the tree. "I am creation. I make the new Shee...control half of the gardens..." She frowned, deep in throught apparently..
Miylin
Creator of the Shee? Miylin had been wondering about her origin for the last couple of days. She had no memory about where she came from.. just that she was found by Dia in the garden.
Now this made her think of something that Kuile had said. She took a glimpse at the green flower before saying,"So.. I came from a flower? But.. how?". It was all so confusing to understand.

Kuile
She turned back to the girl, and sat in the grass, and picked up what seemed to be a small seed from the ground. "Life is a very tricky thing...but not that hard to create, with a little help. Flowers are best for creating life...But only certain ones are suited to do so," she explained, as a small sprout burst from the seed. "Yes, you were born from a flower, but a wild flower...not one from my own garden."
Miylin
"Oh wow... it's kind of wierd to actually believe. So.. just how many of us are there? I mean.. I haven't seen any others..", she said while taking a seat as wel. Something about Kuile's nature made her seem.. trustworthy.
Kuile
"9 are awakened, 3 are waiting to bloom, and there are some that have seemed to fade from existance...There is also my sister, the destruction Shee..."
Miylin
"Destruction Shee?", Miylin asked with widening eyes. Something within her alarmed her quickly. Just the sound..
"I'm guessing she's a more.. uh dark Shee?", she said before biting her lower lip.

Kuile
Kuile sensed the girl's fear, and tried to calm her, before she freaked out, "Not necessarily. She can be a very nice person to those who deserve it! But there must always be destruction to balance out creation. Shee can not live forever...Then it would be hectic.."
After the explanation, Miylin was left in a state of confusion. Before, she knew it, she had fallen asleep on a warm grassy area. She only slept for a few minutes before remembering Dia. Journal Entry
I just wanted to leave a quick note in here. Pretty soon, I'm going to hand this over to Miylin to write in. She's been learning quickly though with the help of myself and her old sisters.
Anywhos, it's been pretty interesting these last couple of days. Miylin's finally all settled in her new home. She shares a room with her big sister Squishler, even though I have a spare bedroom in the house. I guess that it was only natural. Squishler and her, have become quite close. It's really sweet. I was afraid that they wouldn't get along, and that there'd be some jealousy. There was this one issue. See, Squishler's room is painted blue. Blue all around. Well, Miylin doesn't like blue, and so there was a bit of disagreement. She almost ended up sleeping in the guestroom. However, I decided that we should paint some sorts of green on the wall. A room is supposed to represent it's inhabitents right? So now, half of the room is blue, while the other is green. You can just guess which sides each of the girls bed is. It's all settled now though.
Lately, Miylin's been spending time at home though. I've been meaning to take her out to the Garden, but something has always come up. I've been so busy and whatnot. Hopefully, I can take her for a visit later on this week.

Lately, Miylin's been spending time at home though. I've been meaning to take her out to the Garden, but something has always come up. I've been so busy and whatnot. Hopefully, I can take her for a visit later on this week.

<center>Miylin Meets Tokuyu</center>
Tokuyu
Tokuyu sat with his small hands resting on a brown rock, using his little head to decide whether to chew on it or throw it at a nearby Shee. He gurgled playfully and then... completely lost interest in the stone, grabbing his nearby blanket and throwing it over his head. "Blah!" For him, everything was a game, and now he was playing peekaboo with his shadow, pulling the blanket over his head and tossing it into the sky as he yelled "Peechuboo!"
Miylin
Miylin walked slowly into the garden while dragging a worn out yo-yo behind her. Dia had given it to her only weeks before, and already it had seen it's fair share of abuse. Noticing the little baby up ahead, she couldn't help but giggle. He seemed to be playing.. by himself.
Carefully, she approached him with a grin, and leaned down when she was in front of him.
"Hiya!", she perked up. Usually she was shy around people.. but this was different. Babies were different.

Tokuyu
Tokuyu stared up at the new child wide-eyed, the blanket coming to rest on his shoulder. He giggled and waved one hand eagerly, grinning widely. "Hewwo! Pway with Tokuyu?" he babbled, tilting his head and grabbing at his blanket as it shifted.
Miylin
"Hehe, sure! We can play with this, if you want", Miylin said while lifting up her yo-yo for him to see. She didn't even think about whether or not a baby would be capable of playing with one. All that she knew, was that, here was someone to play with!
Tokuyu
Tokuyu took the yo-yo curiously, shaking it and tugging gently at the string. He liked how he could wrap the string around the round part and then pull it back out, but the whole concept still confused him. His little tongue sticking out the corner of his mouth in concentration, he tried to figure out the toy's secret; in the end, he gave up and glanced up at Miylin expectantly. "Don't get it..."
Miylin
Miylin giggled as she watched the little baby.
"Here, let me show you", she said while taking the yo-yo from him, and slipping her finger into the string's hole.
"See.. you have to make the yo-yo slide down the string", she explained. Carefully, she released her hand, as the yo-yo balanced up and down on the string, before finally coming to a stop.
"Yup, and that's it!", she concluded gleefully. Poor, Miylin didn't understand that babies aren't able to do as much as she can.

Tokuyu
Tokuyu watched in awe, following the yo-yo up and down before taking it into his own hands and following her instructions carefully. With a few failed attempts he managed to get the yo-yo to move up and down, laughing gleefully at his achievements. "Yay, Tokuyu play!" he cried, flailing the yo-yo about and jumping. "Yo-yo fun!"
Miylin
Miylin's face lit up with a grin as she said,"Yup! You did it! See, it's not so hawd".
She sat down on the grass, and twirled a single grass blade between her fingers. It was such of a nice day. Suddenly her features changed to that of confusion as she said,"Hey, what's your name?". The thought had never before occured to her.

Tokuyu
Placing a hand on his head Tokuyu blinked; in his mind, names weren't so important. "Tokuyu's name is Tokuyu," he replied slowly, nodding. "Yep, that Tokuyu's name!" He turned his attention to the sky next, walking in small circles and thinking of irrelevant things. The sun was nice and the breeze was cool, and with a grin he asked, "Yoh name is?"
Miylin
"Tokuyu is a nice name", she commented while tossing the blade in the air.
"My name is Miylin", she said while standing up. She never could stay in one position for long. With her tongue poking out of the corner of her lips, she raised both hands before doing a small, lopsided, cart-wheel. Her landing wasn't so good either. She landed straight on her bum with a giggle. Her pigtails now hung loosely on their ribbons.
"But, you can call me Miy, hehe".

Tokuyu
Laughing, Tokuyu ran toward Miylin and quickly sat by her, bouncing in place. "Miy is funny!" he chuckled, raising his arms above his head. "Tokuyu can't do that." He fell backwards and continued his stare at the sky, tugging on Miylin's loose pigtail and pointing at an oddly shaped one. "Looks like bird!" he exclaimed.
Miylin
Miylin's voice ranged out in laughter, as she said,"A bird?? Oh I'll show you what a bird on my head can do". And then without any warning, she softly tackled Tokuyu while tickling his sides, and brushing her hair widly against his face and head.
"Attacck of the birdiee!", she shrieked while giggling.
"Attacck of the birdiee!", she shrieked while giggling.
Tokuyu
Shrieking with laughter, Tokuyu squirmed around until he managed to escape, grabbing Miylin's head and holding on as tightly as he could. "Tickles!!"
Miylin
Miylin giggled as Tokuyu shifted under her hold. And then, reaching over to tickle him once more, she finally rolled a bit away from him, while inhaling breathlessly.
"Tokuyu's trying to make me bald!", she exclaimed while grinning even wider. This little boy sure was fun, she thought to herself while sheilding her eyes from the sun.

Tokuyu
Running around the garden anxiously, Tokuyu searched through every bush and tree, searching for Miylin. "Hey, Miylin? Miy? I wanna show you how big I grew!" he was shouting, arms stretched out behind him as he ran. "Miy!"
Miylin
Miylin lifted up her head from the soft grass as she heard her name being called. She had only laid down to relax, but ended up taking a nap. Her eyes peered around the garden searching for the familiar voice before she spotted the outstretched arms, and the green little boy.
"...Tokuyu? Is that you?", she asked while sitting up, and rubbing her eyes with one hand. It sure sounded like him, but he was bigger.. and seemed different somehow.

Tokuyu
Tokuyu nodded his head quickly, grinning widely. "Yep! It's Tokuyu! I got really big, didn't I? And I can talk... IN FULL SENTENCES!!" He threw his arms in the air as he shouted, fluttering his wings. "And I can fly, too! IF I sing, I fly... But it doesn't matter!"

Miylin giggled as she watched the excited Tokuyu. "That's really great!", she noted while nodding.
She pouted a bit as she heard about his newly found flying abilities. "I wish that I could fly", she mumbled while making her wings twitch slightly. Her expression quickly changed though as she added,"You should show me sometime! But not now though. I've been here way too long. Mom's probably getting worried".
Miylin rose to her feet before brushing her outfit off. She looked a mess, not that she really cared though. "I'll come visit you again!", she called out with a wave before heading towards the garden's exit.

<center>Mean Friend?</center>
Miylin skipped into the garden with a grin. She was in a good mood, for no particular reason. She quickly skimmed around the area wondering if anyone else was around.
Aubry walked in, a little sulkily, and flopped down by the fountain.
Noticing the teenage girl walking in, she couldn't help but observe her for a bit. She felt comfortable around little kids.. but this girl seemed bigger. Miylin would not have even approached had it not been for the way this girl carried herself. She seemed sad..
"Um.. hello..", she called out while walking towards her cautiously.
Aubry looks up at the words, and sees the speaker. She doesn't know this girl... she looks around, wondering who the girl might be talking to, but only she is there.
"Hi?" she asks; a question rather then a reply.
Miylin clasped her hands against her back, as she rocked on her heels.
"Are you okay?", she asked while trying not to stare too much at the girl. Instead she tried to distract her eyes with a nearby butterfly.
Aubry cocked an eyebrow at the stranger, and nodded a little. "Yeahhh..." she says slowly, drawing out the word. She raises the other eyebrow. "Why? Do I know you?"
"Uh, I don't think so.. I mean, I think that I saw you around before..", she said before letting her voice trail off. People could make her feel so intimated at times.
She bit her lower lip before adding,"You just looked bothered that's all".
Aubry shrugs. "Well it doesn't really concern you, anyways. What, you go up to random strangers and pry into their personal life?" she rolls her eyes. "You could really annoy someone. I mean, did anyone teach you to ever be..." she trails off and squints at nothing, trying to remember that word. it was one she always had trouble with. "...considerate? I mean, seriously." She shakes her head almost sympathetically. "Come, on."
She lifts one eyebrow at Miy, daring her to comment back.
Miylin felt like shrinking down to the butterfly's size. She had never felt so embarrased. Dia had never told her that people could be so unfriendly. And she didn't even know what this considerate thing was.
"I don't always talk to strangers, it's dangerous.. And I was only trying to be nice like my mom told me to be", she said while trying her best to blink back a few tears. "But I'll go away now", she added while turning quickly on her heels, and walking away.
"Well jeez, you don't have to cry," Aubry says, catching hold of Miy's arm before she can leave. She looks at Miylin. "Um. You're not crying," she adds awkwardly. Then she quickly adds, "but you sounded like you were crying. Next time don't be such a drama queen, you might make people annoyed."
She huffs, as if Miylin's wasting her time, and rolls her eyes.
Miylin blinks up at Aubry before saying,"Well, I was almost crying. Sorry, anyways". Her eyes roamed around the garden, as she suddenly noticed how deserted it was. It was eerily quiet. Almost spooky. She inched a bit closer to Aubry.
"I wonder why it's always so quiet. Where is everyone?", she asked while frowning a bit. Perhaps, this girl seemed so sad, because she was lonely. And Miylin was obviously too young to hang out with this.. teenager. Or so, she thought so.
Aubry shrugs grumpily. "Maybe 'cause no one wants to play with you," she says in a mean way. "Why are you here? Your mom abandoned you?"
Miylin pouted a bit, and folded her arms across her chest. "My mom would never abandon me. She loves me!", she declared in as tough as a voice as she could muster.
And then in an even quieter voice she said,"I wonder if we could say the same about you". The words even shocked herself. She wouln't have imagined herself to say such of a.. mean thing! Miylin bit down nervously on her bottom lip, as she prepared to take that comment back.
Aubry raises her eyebrows at first, and is about to open her mouth to reply, when she hears the second comment. "W-what?" she asks in a shocked voice.
And then quickly gains her composure.
"Well even if my mom doesn't, I know someone does. Only faggots want their mama to love them, and those are the dorks and mommy's kids. But having a boy love you is--"
She suddenly breaks off, realizing what she just said. "I mean--" she says. But her cheeks have already turned red, and her mind goes back to Gabe again, one-tracked, leaving no room for distraction. She groans and buries her face in her hands.
Miylin eyes widened when Aubry mentioned "faggots". She knew from experience that that was a word which should never be sad in front of adults. She quikly got over that though, when she heard the "boy loving" part.
"A boy loves.. you? Who is it?? Wait, is that's what wrong with you?", she asked curiously with a grin. All past thoughts about Aubry's mean behaviors flew past her mind at this point. This was sure to be some sort of gossip that her 8 year old mind would take thrills in.
"Ah! No!" Aubry says quickly. "I mean, it's really nothing! He doesn't, well sort of, but it's not really serious or something or--" she frowns. "Um, well, he sort of likes me I guess, but then he doesn't really. In a way. Or something."
"Wow, you're so lucky to have a boy be in love with you... do you love him back?", she asked while seeming entranced with the current topic. Miylin was completly oblivious to Aubry's.. distress.
"No!" Aubry says quickly. "I just want him to leave me alone!"
Miylin frowned a bit. This was strange. Isn't a girl supposed to want a boy around if they love them? Surely, the movies that she watched didn't lie!
"Well, if a boy loved me, I would want him around always", she declared with a dignified nod.
"Isn't that what loves all about?"
"What? Of course not. Love is much more complicated. I mean, it's not even love. I think. It's really complicated... and really stupid..."
Miylin scrunched up her face in confusion. Some people really were wierd, she thought to herself.
"I'd feel pretty bad, if I loved someone and they didn't love me back", she concluded. And then a small grin formed on her face as she asked,"Is he cute?"
Aubry opened her mouth to answer, and shut it quickly, surprised and scared at what she had almost said. Instead she just sighed and buried her face in her hands again. Jeeeeez, this girl had a one-track mind! Couldn't she tell that Aubry didn't want to talk about Gabe? Couldn't she just go away?
But yet... Aubry sort of enjoyed her company. She was annoying, but her new perspective on things did make Aubry feel slightly better. In fact, she supposed the girl was right. And she hadn't really thought about how Gabe felt. Maybe she should apologize to Gabe...
Aubry blinked, and then stared at Miylin, who was still waiting for an answer. "Ahhh, it's none of your business anyways," she says snottily. "Isn't your mom going to be worried that you've been away from home for so long? I think you should clear out now, your mom might get acne from worrying too much that her precious baby is out past lunchtime."
Miylin pouted once again as she realized that this girl did have a point. She still wanted to know if this boy was cute or not though. If he was, she sure was acting stupid!
"Hm, yea it is getting late I guess. Well, it's been nice talkin' to ya! Cya! Bye the way, name's Miylin", she said before skipping towards the garden's exit.
