In a time when the world of Juridia was still new, and the good and evil had not yet chosen sides, there was strife among the upper-class mages. Strife enough to get someone killed. Conspiracy was ripe for the picking, and victory in accusation was often sweeter than the eventual execution of the offender. One of these offenders happened to be young lord Nev'n Tobali [Nev-yen Toe-ball-E]. He had killed his father in order to gain the old man's riches as his own. In any culture, Patricide is punishable by death. But his case was not heard until seven years after the fact. And by then... Nev'n had grown quite fond of a certain young noble - in truth the god of Angst. As befitting this embodiment, T'lai and Nev'n's romance was a whirlwind of emotion, outbursts, firsts, and heartache. Nev'n found himself being led around by the chain that this young dog-god held.
Their relationship was strained, however, when Nev'n's case of Patricide came before the Council of Six. Something like the Supreme Court, the Council ruled Nev'n guilty. He was sentenced to die. T'lai, being what he was, and who he was, would not allow his love to be slaughtered like a lamb for sacrifice. He worked his most powerful spell ever imagined, and encased Nev'n in crystal, where he would never be able to die - and yet never be able to harm another living being. Doing so drained the dog-god of what energies of life he had. With a soft kiss to the crystal encasing his shocked love, he fell to the ground, dead before he hit.
For hundreds of years, Nev'n was encased, unable to see anyone [for the spell was set in a cave out of the way of society], and unable to forget the memory of T'lai's death. He was finally taken into Edelstiene headquarters as something of a decoration. With a breath from Beryl, he was unlocked from his prison - with no clothes, and no memory...

Name: Nev'n Toballi [Nev - yen Toe - ball - E]
Age: Appears to be nineteen
Sex: Male
Hair: Deep navy blue - Grown long
Eyes: Violet
Skin: Very fair
Weight: 140
Height: 5' 10"

Special Features:
Special twin-fang tattoo that was the marking of a noble of his station back in the day.

Personality:
While he used to be haughty and cruel, hundreds of years encased in crystal have mellowed him out, and made him humble. He's very afraid of offending people - even if that offense is one of the carnal desires. He is afraid to show his true self - lest that self be hated. He is not very nice to people who treat ladies badly. He takes everything said to him, or around him, as personal - it is easy to depress him.

History: Nev'n was born a poor boy, but his family slowly rose to the rank of esteemed noble. Not knowing - or caring - about his less-than-welltodo origons, he came to treat everyone below him worse than the family rugs. He thought he was better than everyone else, because he had money. Then he started thinking about how much MORE money he'd have, if he killed his father to get his way. It was extremely fortunate for him - he thought - that the old man was so easy to kill. But then he was caught in the midst of his triumph, and sentenced to death - where the sstory starts to unfold.

Name: T'lai [ta - lie]
Age: Appears to be twenty
Sex: Male
Hair: Short, spiky green hair
Eyes: Doe-brown, like a dog's
Skin: Pale but tanned
Weight: 149
Height: 6' even

Special Features:
Floppy dog-like ears instead of his own, a dog's "china-breaker" tail, and a dog-collar that he cannot remove no matter how hard he tries.

Personality:
T'lai is very crude and cruel. He CAN be very loving, but it takes a lot of effort to see that deeply inside of him [unless, of course, you're Nev'n]. He enjoys all forms and fashions of practical jokes, is very intelligent, and very much Bi [meaning he's a ladies dog as well]. Being a god, it's easy to see how he CAN be a little overbearing at times. Afterall, that's one factor he and the OLD Nev shared. They thought they were better than anyone else.

History: [History... UNKNOWN.]

User Image - She's damned hot. DAMNED hot. And she's real sweet, likes to mother people. / She is wonderful. For me, she's almost like the mother I never had. I don't think I will ever be "in love" with her more than I am now. Mother/Sister... maybe more.

I have Awakened

It is dark and quiet - there is nothing - no sound, no light, nothing to touch, nothing to scent or taste. It is nothingness. And it is here - that I was trapped, thousands of years ago - by a split-second decison on the part of my then-lover T'lai. I am Nev'n. All my memories have been sealed away to me but that one, crucial element. My name. And what's in a name, do you ask? Plenty - title, station, where one stands in this world, or out of this world as the case may be. And trapped with me is this badge of shame - one I am to be forced to bear throughout the ages - as time ebbs and flows - as the sands of the deserts are ground away by the never-forgiving wind. As I will once again be whole, be alive. But not now. Not in this prison - or so I thought. While locked in time, I could still see, still hear if there was anything worth hearing. And I have changed hands of ownership I know not HOW many times. What brought me back was something... something I cannot place. A curiousity - a need to know what's there. It would have only taken a breath - but a kiss... that was unexpected. Something I had not felt for centuries - perhaps on a different planet. Her name - Beryl. Her bond... Indiscribably wonderful. But this is me - and this is now. Naked to the world I come - as if born anew. And this is where I belong now. I am free.

I have been awakened.

The great door back to harmodius' rooms was open, though the reason was evident enough given the littering of precious rocks, plants in delicate, hand-blown contraptions, and fountain pieces that littered the main hall that led back. Lucius shuffled back and forth, carrying the pieces and parts from the hall back into a giant greenhouse like room...if it could even be called a room. It was open to sky, and that sky was always deeping twilight with faint stars glinting out from behind brushed clouds.

He'd finished cleaning all the falls and fountains that were housed in the space, and had tended all the vines, flowers and bonsai.

Draconayzia

Hearing the bustle Beryl peeked down from the top of the stairs. Seeing the rather large undertaking Lucius had involved himself with she smiled a little, quickly moving down and to the kitchen where she put a large pot of tea on to steep.

Ivynian
User Image

Lucius stopped just within the doorway, pickign up the last of teh elaborate basins, pausing in thought. He was more or less oblivious to the world outside of his task.
"Six......no...five....left side....left side near the wisteria"

Draconayzia
User Image
Wind carefully made her way out the kitchen door, two steaming mugs in her hand. "Lucius? Care for some tea?"

She tried not to destroy his train of thought, since it seemed so important. Still, the tea might be nice for him.

Ivynian
User Image

Lucius startled, though not badly. He smiled, squinting his visible eye and tilting his head, "Oh, Lady Beryl. Pleasant to see you again, up and around. I apologize I haven't been around much. I've been mostly dealig with upkeep and stuff."

He shifted the basin a bit, "I would love some. Could you bring it back for me?" He motioned with his head down the hall.

Draconayzia
User Image
"Of course." Smiling she followed Universe down the hall, carefully balancing both mugs so as to not spill a drop. She'd never been back here, and it made her a bit nervous.

"What kind of upkeep, if you don't mind my asking?"

Ivynian
User Image

Lucius stepped through the platinum and glass interlace enterance way to the gardens, and grinned widely as he looked back, "This place for one. ALso, I've been seeing to some of the things Lord Harmodius has been creating, weapons and armor and baubles and instruments and all sorts of things to be again placed in the hands of the gods. And the building itself, and such things."

He walked over a lacquer bridge shaped like dancing dragons and along a path of mosaiced glass then black sand, past great waterfalls and water gardens to a fountain of nymphs in whose arms he replaced the basin. The are was trellaced with nuveau swirls that guided wisteria to make an elaborate canopy.

Draconayzia
User Image
The space was truely beautiful. "If the items are anywhere near half as tended as these gardens then they will be wonders to behold."

She tried not to gawk as she followed, watching her step though the path. The bridge made her smile, Drac's fancy for kin hinting her humour. Any dragon was a welcomed sight for her host these days.

Ivynian
User Image

He brushed his hands off on his tailfeathers, voice sombering as his gaze travelled over to a "doorway" fashioned of the wisteria vines. "I've cared for Harmodius some too. "

Draconayzia
User Image
"Really? What is wrong?" She handed him one fo the pipping mugs. One of her wings unfurled and curled around his shoulders in a gesture of comfort.

Ivynian
User Image

He took the mug gratefully and started a slow walk back through the wisteria.

"Just as we only can do so much, no matter if we're gods, so it is with him. Like any Pantheon. We exhaust our strength. Lord Harmodius is immensely powerful, but even he tires. There are more jewels now....he spent time away again, in the great voids and streams of life. I've seen them. "

He stopped and sipped his tea at the base of gentle slope, formed of a bed of white rose blooms. On it, draped with jewel toned satins and silks was Harmodius. His eyes were closed, wings outspread like a fallen herald. No motion betrayed life.

Lucius sipped again. "The tea is excellent."

User Image
"I'm glad you like it." She couldn't seem to tear her gase from Harmodius. It was because of him she and the others even existed. seeing him so weary and drawn, without even a spark of life it seemed, was wrong.

Unconciously her wing snugged around Lucius's shoulders. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Ivynian
User Image

"I couldn't say. Mostly I've just been trying to keep him resting. I don't know much of medicine or healing or any of that. It isn't my post." He looked away, focusing his attention more on Beryl, "How have you been of late? Harmodius had intoned some weird riddles about you, not that I can even pretend to remember what wonky words he spouted at me in mid-training. "

It was easier to just not think on things. He opened his stance more towards the door again, leaning his weight almost enough to start walking out. escape to somewhere more pleasant if the lady seemed ready to follow.

Draconayzia
User Image
"I know I'm not a diety of healing, but my host helped me remember or learn some fair rememdies if you'd like me to make a few. One energizing tonic might help, though I don't know if he'd care to take it. It's a bit strong."

She followed readily. Clearly, as much as he felt frowned upon some days, the condition of Creation had him worried. "What kinds of riddles may I ask? Are there any you remember?"

Ivynian
User Image

"I don't really....one was some nonsense about spring breezes finding the music to dance like gales. Or something. I never really get him. He talks like he's straight from some early gothic writer's laudnum hallucination. " He led their steps to a elborate terracing of an obsidian waterfall. He climbed a level and sat down next to the gentle flow and cradled his mug.

"Any ideas what something like that may mean?"

Draconayzia
User Image
"That sounds very poetic, but I'm sad to say that means nothing to me." Her own cup was soon drained but she made no move to leave.

Instead she settled near Universe and curled a wing around him again. "Are you taking care of yourself? You're no good to anyone if you allow yourself to be worked to sickness."

Ivynian
User Image

He poked her nose lightly with his forefinger, "deet."

A smile followed, "Oh....I'm alright. WHat I lack in brute strength I make up for in stamina. I have teh whole of teh cosmos....or ...me...to draw upon. Besides, it doesn't make for much fatigue, tending and cleaning. It's kinda relaxing really, and teh little trees are wonderful meditatively to do. I'm only allowed to do the ones here though, since I'm an amateur at it. "

He sighed, "I wish we knew what was up. How are those new ones you've been boarding? That boy seems pretty flaky. I've seen him around while I was working."

Arrikanez

Deep within his crystal prison, Nev'n's mind begins to awaken. He has no recollection of what is his past, and what he did to deserve this prison, or even where he was when first imprisoned. His senses run wild. He can hear voices, and other small noises. His chest is still, but a stethoscope applied to the crystal when the room is quiet would discern a faint heartbeat. He was alive - yes - and had been in something of a deathsleep for decades. He was just now coming back to himself, though his consciousness wasn't enough yet for his eyes to open.

Draconayzia
User Image
Beryl crossed her eyes and the poke and stuck out her tongue before laughing herself. "Good, you know you are always welcome to drop by if you need to. Heavens know I have plenty of spare cushions to fall asleep on. Nothing as grand as this, but it is home for me."

Smilingly still she gave him a brief hug, careful not to spill his drink in the process. "They are doing well so far as I know. Prolixity is a bit off as of late, but I think that's due more to resurfacing memories he'd rather keep locked away than anything else. Merci is doing all right as well. As for the demon woman, I believe she is fine considering the amount of ire she produces."

Beryl felt a small pull, though what she wasn't entirely sure. Training had made her more aware of the presence of other dieties and their energy, but the power was so rampant and concentrated in this place that she couldn't be certain.

Ivynian
User Image

He finished off his tea in a gulp, making a face a little at the burst of flavour.

He gave a hoarse cough, "Definitely for sipping."

He stood up again, ruffling his free hand into beryl's wing briefly. "C'mon....I do love this place, but the front rooms speak less of thought and tranquility and more of good ol' comfort."

I should be closing the door anyways. And he can hear us I'm sure.

Draconayzia
User Image
She couldn't help but chuckle at the face he made. "Definately." She returned the favor by ruffling the feathers aroud the bases of his wings.

"If nothing else, I can claim that my rooms are a rather comfortable place. And you're welcome there any time."

Smiling she gave him another squeeze with her wing. "You let me know if I can help and I'll make you all the tea you want, agreed?" Lucius should not be the only one busy with Harmodius as tired as he was. Another exhausted diety would not help.

"I just thought of something. Can he, Lord Harmodius I mean, take energy given as a gift from another?"

Arrikanez
User Image
There was a soft and curious tendril of energy and thought that snaked throughout the room, under doors, seeing where he was without seeing. It came across Beryl, and recognized that to be her name, and it indeed was her. It climbed up her, cold and warm at the same time, exploring her, while another tendril wrapped around the other's feet, feeling, like a beetle's antennae.

Draconayzia
User Image
Beryl yelped in surprise at the tendril, feeling it rove over her, daring in places it shouldn't. She curled up as tight as she could, arms across her chest, legs closed and tucked up tight beneath her. A shiver ran down her spine from the touch. "What in the blue hades?"

Ivynian
User Image

"You know, I don't-yee!"
Lucius jumped, his wings buffeting the air once to loft him upwards as his eyes shifted down to his feet.

"What was that?" The stars of his skin excited to brilliance, but the solidity of the darkness faded, and he was soon like air.

Draconayzia
User Image
Finally managing to untuck her wings Wind shot into the air, rubbing the feelig from her arms. "I think that would be one of the newer additions. That's rather rude you know." The later statement was made to the owner of the tendril. That little whisp had wandered places it definately should not have.

Turning back to Lucius, what little of him she could see anyway. "You were saying?"

Arrikanez
User Image
The energy drew back, and curled dumurely around Beryl's head, seeping into it, and presenting her with a voice, while doing the self-same thing to Lucius.
~Help.... Please.... Help me...~

Draconayzia
User Image
She flinched at the touch upon her, not realizing intent at first. With a cry of surprise she fell hard to the ground. She knew that Harmodius and Lucius needed her help, but this was a cry she could fein ignore.

Her feet carried her swiftly from the room and to the statue Rhianon had nearly chipped the day before, approaching cautiously. "It's you, isn't it?"

Ivynian
User Image

Lucius followed out, but stopped at the door, pulling it shut and the runes around it flashed briefly into reactivation.

His countenance betrayed neither wonder nor concern, but he went over to examine the 'statue' just the same.

"Less touchy feely, please. " He crouched, still insubstantial, at teh base and put his hand into the crystal as if checking something.

creeeeeepy boy

Arrikanez
User Image
The feeling of his energy dimished slightly. Along with something of an apology. He was whole, if not healthy, but the thing was... he was still encased in crystal. The solution was rather obvious, but one that the person who put him here had hoped to be able to perform himself - but it looked like that wasn't going to be the case. Anyone who had even heard of Sleeping Beauty would know what to do.
~Help... please... ~

Draconayzia
User Image
"Much less touchy-feelly please." She shivered, wings wrapping around herself as she remembered the tendril's path. Not again thanks.

Sighing a bit, she realized the weakness of the voice. Remembering some of the human fables her host had been rather fond of her recollection of Sleeping beauty came forth. Shaking her head she lightly kissed the crystal boy's cheek.

Arrikanez
User Image
A breath would have done just as well, but this was perfect. The crystal literally began to melt, and the boy was slowly being revealed. His eyes opened slightly, and as the last of the crystal vanished, he collapsed forward to sprawl on the floor, panting hard, too weak to hold himself up.

Draconayzia
User Image
Beryl moved so quickly it almost seemed as if she were moving in slow motion. She had taken a warm blanket from the trunk nearby, wrapped it around the youth and picked him up in what seemed to be one fluid movement.

Lightly cradling him to her like a small child she smiled, voice soft and light as any breeze. "Shhh, I will see that you're taken care of tonight and in the morning you can tell us your name."

Ivynian
User Image

Lucius shifted back on his haunches for the proceedings, and then gave a shrug. "Well that was fast and furious, I suppose. "

He arched a eyebrow at the Lady's words, "You collect downtrodden like a mother cat. Or dragon I guess. Need me to grab anything extra for you?"

Draconayzia
User Image
"I'll choose to take that as a compliment for now. You're lucky my wings are busy balancing me or I'd tickle you with them. I think I have everything, spare sleeping cushion, clean clothes a plenty... I can't think of anything I'd need, or the newcomer here. Can you?"

Beryl's hand around the boy's shoulders had automatically moved to smooth his hair back in a comforting sort of way. He was right though, she did pick up strays like a dragon.

Arrikanez
User Image
He smiled weakly up at Beryl, with his bright lavender eyes opened for an instant, then closed again, as he slips off into true sleep, to regain his energy. He sighs, as if the weight of something was just lifted from his shoulders, and goes limp in Beryl's arms, energy drained.

Ivynian
User Image

"Experience speaks. I doubt I could come up with something where you don't......particularly in nursing stray dragonlets. I leave him in your capable hands," Lucius chuckled, standing. "You're quite the madame....keeping three boys and a girl to yourself. I'll have to make sure I don't get sick, or I'll get added to the harem."

Draconayzia
User Image
"That's right. Besides the only palet left now is my own and we'd have to share. And it's dragonlings, atleast that's what Draconayzia says. I'm going to take this one up to sleep. I'll try to leave you a gift in the morning. Take care."

Smiling she planted a small kiss on his cheek before proceeding up the stairs with the boy. Once in her room she carefully slipped a set of soft training clothes on his slender frame. Going to her miraculous closet she pulled out another sleeping cushion that did not look as if it should fit in the space. That and pillow in hand she managed to quickly set up a comfortable place for him next to the palet she shared with Little Dream for the moment.

Making sure he was tucked in and comfortable she moved to her own space. Slipping under the covers to let sleep steal her away for the night.

Beryl had taken off in the wee hours of the morning, just as the sun crested the horizon. Bag in tow her wings carried her several miles from the shop to her own little sanctuary. The spring was a fair few miles away but well worth the trip. A tall spring mounted from the snow, cascading down a small cliff to a pool below. The water was always warm, steam covering the surface in the frigid temperatures.

Setting her bag down on a dry ledge she fished a few things from the interior, an orb of special soap, a towel and most notably a small folding screen. She wasn't about to get caught again if she could help it, no matter how many miles from civilization she was.

Her clothes were slipped into the bag to stay safe, using her wings to cover herself. Darting to her favorite small pool just behind the waterfall she set the screen up near by and soaked.

Perri Indiya
User ImageEamnonn jogged cheerfully along, enjoying the zip in the air. Other, more temperature-affected beings would have called it a "bite" or "chill" instead of a "zip," but the rosy-cheeked outcome was still the same. He'd been running, walking, and stretching for almost an hour now, and his muscles weren't that happy with it. He needed to build up his endurance, which he was doing, but a break couldn't hurt. He sniffed the air and turned, heading towards the smell of steam and the hot spring it promised.

Quote:
User Image
The water felt heavenly, just the right temperature. She had long since sudsed up and rinsed, the plant based soap leaving no trace in the water save for a faint scent of blooms. The spring just felt too nice to leave.

Sitting on a small ledge at the side of the pool her eyes closed as a smile played across her face. This treat had been a long time coming.

Perri Indiya
User ImageAh there was the pool! Funny, he didn't remember a screen being in front of it. Ah well. Strange things grew in these god-infested hills. The Hunt was enjoying his day far too much to think about trivial idiosyncrasies. That and the screen looked very much like something Beryl would like.

Leather pants, belt, and knife were left discarded next to the screen as he hopped in to the pool. Ah, warmth! His muscles liked that.

Draconayzia
User Image
The water moved, jostling her a bit. Odd, but not important. Sometimes sudden bursts would come from the spring above from a trapped air pocket or something, dumping a large amount of the steaming water at once. Nothing to worry about.

Stretching her wings a bit she settled back against the ledge, never opening her eyes. This was bliss.

Perri Indiya
User ImageEamnonn had his eyes closed too. He leaned back in the water and stetched out his legs, feeling something soft brush against his foot. Opening one eye grudgingly, he saw Beryl and chuckled to himself. This pool had everything!

Closing his eye again, he rolled his shoulders before speaking idly. "Lovely day for a dip, isn't it?"

Draconayzia
User Image
Beryl's eyes snapped open. Shrieking she jumped from the pool, wings covering herself as she fought to wrap her towel around herself while hidden. "Good greif, you really haven't changed, have you?"

Towel in place she moved to get her bag, one hand holding the towel, the other searching for her clothes.

Perri Indiya
User ImageThe Hunt burst into laughter, throwing a hand over his face. Count on Beryl to have an amusing reaction!

Smiling, he turned and crossed his arms on the side of the pool, resting his head on them. "If I changed too much, you wouldn't recognize me. But I interrupted your bath, so please, you stay and I'll go."

Draconayzia
User Image
"Oh trust me, I'm done." Clothes in hand she moved off to the top of the spring, quickly getting dressed and flapping the water from her wings. Well there was that calm mood down the drain.

She alighted back near the ledge just long enough to get her bag, moving off and getting ready to take to the air again. What was it about Hunt's timing?

Perri Indiya
User Image"Please don't go! I honestly didn't realize you were here at first! And then you didn't notice me... a fellow is allowed his innocent jokes, isn't he?"

Eamnonn stayed in the water, not wanting his nakedness to offend. Watching Beryl, he realized her appearance had changed a little since the last time he'd seen her. She'd become more... herself, somehow.

"You've changed." he said, puzzled.

Draconayzia
User Image
An internal struggle clearly showed. Finally she gave an exasperated sigh. "Fine." Moving to sit on a ledge on the other side of the screen, taking the time to pul a spare towel from her bag and throw it over top. Maybe he'd take a hint before showing himself after his soak.

Curiously, she looked herself over. "I have?"

Perri Indiya
User Image"Small changes, but they are there." The Hunt hopped out of the water and toweled himself off before sliding into his pants. His muscles complained, but he was more interested in Beryl than lounging at the moment. He tied on his knife and belt as he walked around the screen.

"We've both been changing, it seems. Do you miss anything you've lost?"

Draconayzia
User Image
"Lost? What did I loose?" Now she was really confused. What was Hunt talking about? True her wings had been a bit stiff this morning, hence her trip to the spring. She hadn't lost anything, had she?

Perri Indiya
User Image"We all lose something when we change, sometimes good, sometimes bad. I lost a lot of my foolish pride, but with it went the pack. That sort of thing."

Trouble had been dredging up memories of the pack, mainly the good ones related to play. This in turn had reminded him of the pup he had given to Beryl, that he assumed had gone as well. He wanted to know if the little wolf had left a hole that needed filling.

Draconayzia
User Image
She could see him edge a bit. He didn't know that the changes in his manner were visible. So that was the kind of loss he was talking about. "Some things, yes. Though there have been good losses, some have been bad."

She moved off a bit, stretching her wings again. They seemed determined to cramp on her, or at least that's what she wanted Eamnonn to believe. The loss of the little pup she had started to love still ached. There was nothing to be done about it though. She'd hid her emotions beneath concern for his life, masking it until she could deal with it so long as she wasn't forced to remember.

Perri Indiya
User ImageThere was something there. Something she wouldn't say. He didn't want to pry it out of her, but he had to dig enough to see if she was talking about the pup.

Noticing her wing trouble, he stepped up behind her, massaging them. "It's hard to find yourself suddenly alone, isn't it? Especially when you need the disappeared to be there."

Draconayzia
User Image
She started at the touch before relaxing. He was learning to do that well. Her face fell a little bt, hidden mostly by the pale blue hair that fell in her face. "Yes, that is difficult."

She stood silently, letting the Hunt work. She didn't want to show sadness or tears.

Perri Indiya
User ImageUnless Beryl had lost anyone else, and that was the sort of thing he suspected he know about, Eamnonn was right about the pup. Damn. He hadn't meant for that to happen.

"I'm sorry." he said quietly, leaving her wings and wrapping his arms around her shoulders in a hug.

Beryl was surprised by the gesture. She wasn't quite used to him being so kind to her yet. After a moment a sigh escaped her lips as she gently leaned back into him, on hand resting on his.

Perri Indiya
User Image"It'll be alright. You'll see." He spoke into her hair, resting his cheek on her head.

Draconayzia
User Image
"What are you talking about? I'm fine." Her voice was soft, trying not to show any hurt in her words. She accepted her pup was gone, it would just take a little time until she could hide the loss competely.

For now though, she was fine like this. Her hair was still damp from the springs but she made no move to leave. Rather she just stayed still, hearing the soft murmur of his heartbeat. It was strangely calming, contenting herself to stay the way she was for awhile.

Perri Indiya
User Image"Of course." Eamnonn made his decision then and there. He had a new little mission to carry out, a new hunt. Beryl had helped save his life, and now he had a small way to pay her back for that.

He wrinkled his nose, her hair tickling it. He really hoped he didn't ruin the moment by sneezing.

Draconayzia
User Image
At the sneeze she couldn't help but laugh. "Are you alergic to me or something?" A smile masked any hurt left on her face. She was trying not to laugh after all.

Perri Indiya
User Image"No, you just have very invasive hair." The Hunt repositioned his head so it was resting on her shoulder. There. Much less ticklish. Not as comfortable, though. He resettled his hug around her waist.

"Do we have birthdays?"

Draconayzia
User Image
"Well that might be partially due to the fact it isn't dry yet and I haven't combed it." She smiled when he repossitioned himself, though in the process he had managed to wrap her arms as well. Oh well, it didn't matter. She shook her head a bit to get her hair over the opposite whoulder and out of the way.

"I don't know, guess one of us will have to ask."

Perri Indiya
User ImageEamnonn made a mental note to ask Harmodious when he got the chance.

"Well, I can at least help you with the drying." he turned his head and started blowing air at her hair.

Draconayzia
User Image
"Ah! Hey!" Hed managed to blow right in her ear. Shaking her head and laughing she pushed him back.

"Your aim is terrible." That said she wrung the water from her hair and finger combed it so it was more tame.

Perri Indiya
User ImageHe stepped back grinning, releasing her. "Is it? Huh, I always thought the aim of cheering someone up was a good one. And quite successful in this case, too."

Draconayzia
User Image
She didn't reply, rather she just bapped him over the head with her wing while trying to finish with her hair. She didn't remember it giving her this much trouble before.

Perri Indiya
User Image"Hey!" Eamnonn threw up his hands to block the "attack", but was laughing too hard and the blow landed. Shaking his head, he stepped up to her and lightly pushed her hands away, combing with his fingers.

"Here, let me. You have such an unruly mane now."

Draconayzia
User Image
Still laughing she let him take over. Her hair was nearly tame now anyway. "Your wounds healing up well?"

Perri Indiya
User Image"Yup! The more I excercise, the faster my metabolism. The faster my metabolism, the faster I heal. Within normal healing time ranges, of course."

There, her hair was smooth. Eamnonn, cocked his head, not liking the look of it. It ought to be more natural... he mussed her hair a bit, prefering the results.

"There! Your natural state of gorgeousness."

Draconayzia
User Image
"Hey!" She bapped him with her wings again, quickly plaiting her hair. It was a loose braid but it would work for now.

"Hmm, we should probably be getting back to the building."

Perri Indiya
User ImageEamnonn bounced back, laughing again. "Why?"

Draconayzia
User Image
"Because I have a new charge. Poor boy woke last night from that crystal statue in the main room. Unless of course you have something we should be doing."

Perri Indiya
User Image"Not really. I was just out running." Eamnonn gathered up Beryl's screen and tucked it under his arm.

"Another male in your room, hmm? Collecting chaperones?"

Draconayzia
User Image
"Maybe chaperones, maybe something else." Her tone was deliberately teasing.

Starting on the path back to the store her gaze fell skyward. She'd have to see if there wasn't something that could be done about that dour cloud cover.

Perri Indiya
User Image"What, are you collecting a harem?" Eamnonn pouted, twining the fingers of his free hand with hers as they walked.

"I get to be head concubine, though, right?"

Draconayzia
User Image
"Maybe, and only if you're good." Smiling a little she slid her hand easily into his twining her fingers with his.

She left it at that, gaze going back to the sky. Soon it would lighten again on it's own, bringing back the song birds she missed.

Perri Indiya
User ImageEamnonn made a "harumph" sound under his breath, and watched her out of the corner of his eye. She always seemed to glow a little when she looked at the sky.

"It's spring in my room, you know."

Draconayzia
User Image
"I know, I remember." She smiled a little, her gaze not leaving the sky.

Until she got an idea anyway. "Care to race?"

Perri Indiya
User Image"Sure! Wait, who will be burdened with the Screen of Certain Loss?"

Draconayzia
User Image
"Oh please, you wimp." She held up her bag, which was a fair measure heavier than the screen, if less bulky.

"Are you ready or do you want to keep complaining?"

Perri Indiya
User ImageThe Hunt bolted into a ground eating lope, assuming Beryl would just cheat and use her wings anyway. What he objected to about the screen was not its weight but its sail like qualities, which would slow him down.

Draconayzia
User Image
"Hey!" She bolted straight after him, surprising herself when she easily drew even.

After overcoming her shock she flashed him a grin before running faster, pulling far ahead, wings tucked tight against her back.

Perri Indiya
User ImageEamnonn immediately untied his belt, placed the screen on his back, and secured it there with his belt without breaking stride. That was suprising. He had somewhat expected to fall on his a**.

It was uncomfortable, but he got less drag. The Hunt put on a new burst of speed and drew abreast of the Wind.

Draconayzia
User Image
OH no, she wasn't going to loose, she hadn't even hit full stride yet.

Smiling and giving him a small wave she put on a new burst of speed, pulling ahead again. Through the trees the shape of the Edelsteine building was barely visible.

Perri Indiya
User ImageHe had been running for most of his life! He could run down rabbits! There would be no loss here! Eamnonn put his head down and tore forwards, putting everything he had into the fluid motions. He still had his athletic abilities, mark or no mark!

Draconayzia
User Image
Too bad for Eamnonn, Beryl had gained a bit of speed as she grew stronger. Now she just might be fast enough to beat him.

With one more burst of speed she pulled ahead to reach the door first. "Well, that was fun." Grinning she was barely winded. Since when could she do that?

Perri Indiya
User ImageThe Hunt slid to a hasty halt, narrowly missing crashing into his race partner. He grinned, full of adreneline. Remove the screen from it's place on his back, Eamnonn leaned it against the building and looped his belt around Beryl's waist to tug her close.

"What does the olympian get as her prize?" He teased.

Draconayzia
User Image
Beryl yelped and tried to get loose. "What are you up to?"

She was trying not to smile as her own adrenaline level slowly dropped. Since when could she put on so much speed? More pressing, what was Eamnonn going to claim as a balance?

Perri Indiya
User Image"I'm just trying to reward you for your show of athletic skill. What would you like? A caress?" he slid an arm around her waist. "A kiss?" he brushed her lips with his own.

Draconayzia
User Image
What in the...? What was he up to? She tried to wriggle loose, but that didn't seem to be working.

The light brush of his lips against hers sent a small shiver down her back. Drat him for making her do that! She pushed against his chest as her mind tried to deal with several things at once.

Had she really changed? How had she managed to become so much faster? What else had happened? Her struggles weakened a bit as her thoughts seemed to run away with her. Not that it was readily apparent to anyone watching her features. To them it'd probably look like she was still 'trying' to get away.

Perri Indiya
User Image"What shall I give you, Jewel?" Eamnonn looped his other arm around her, belt slipping from his fingers. He brushed her hair back from behind and kissed her neck.

Draconayzia
User Image
Oh great, NOW he found one of her spots. She tried unsuccessfully to suppress a shiver when he kissed her neck, trying not to make a sound at the touch.

And now it seemed she was pinned again. Perfect. She tried to press against him to get back, but she was still trying to get over the sensation from what he'd done to her neck. Definitely not helping.

Perri Indiya
User ImageSurprise, surprise, Eamnonn took Beryl's pressure against as encouragement. He nuzzled her throat while gently massaging her back with his hands.

"You're freedom, perhaps?"

Draconayzia
User Image
She was shivering too much to form a reply. Dangit, he'd found another of her weak spots!

Her arms pressed against him again, trying to get her neck out of range. How had he known that touching her like that would get her all out of sorts?

Perri Indiya
User ImageEamnonn chuckled quietly to himself, releasing his hold a bit so she could get away. Finding out one of Beryl's weak points was good enough for today. Eventually, he would work his way over her body, finding every single one.

Another new hunt. Fun, fun, fun.

Draconayzia
User Image
Stumbling back a bit, one hand went to her neck as she tried to catch her breathe, still shivering slightly. Once the shaking had subsided she tried to get her voice to work properly, a bit of a quaver still remaining. "Excuse me, I really should check on that new charge I've taken on. I'll be back down to the kitchen in a few minutes."

She hurriedly opened the door, making her way up the stairs. Thankfully the Hunt wouldn't be able to see her blush from behind. As much as she wanted to be angry with him for doing that, the emotion wouldn't quite come.

She guiltily shoved away a small whisper that teased her she'd enjoyed it as she opened the door to her room. After checking that Prox and Merci were still asleep she moved to the pallet that held the youth she'd brought up the previous night.

Gently brushing some hair back from his face she spoke softly. "Waken young one, there are people here who wish to meet you."

Perri Indiya
User Image"Of course you should." The Hunt smiled politely, picking up the screen and following her inside. Only when she had fled upstairs did his break into a self-satisfied grin. Head concubine, here I come.

Eamnonn flopped on to the couch, hands under his head.

Arrikanez
User Image
He stirred, and opened his eyes, semi-weakly, taking a deep breath, and fully waking with a small smile on his face. His voice was smooth and sweet like honey, soft as silk, but with the sense that it could turn to a dagger's edge if he wanted it to. As he spoke, it was clear that his voice was weak from the decades on inside the crystal, and that much disuse.
"I had a very restful sleep last night, M'lady. I thank you for that."
He stretched a bit, still weak from the long imprisonment.

Draconayzia
User Image
Smiling she moved to help him sit up a bit, propping pillows behind him. "Are you hungry? Thirsty? I make it a practice to keep at least a little food here."

One of her wings hooked a leg of the cart she kept with a waiting tray. There was a bowl of fruit and a small plate of pastries sitting next to a pitcher full of clear, cool water. Pulling down a bowl she put a few grapes and some of the more bite sized pastries in it, setting it down only long enough to fill a glass with water before kneeling at the youth's side again, encouraging him to eat.

"I am called Beryl. What is your name?" Her manner was easy and calm, no sense of threat coming from her. The youth needed to feel safe for the time.

Arrikanez
User Image
He started to eat what she offered, slowly, as if to savor each and every bite.
"My name, M'Lady, is Nev'n."
He smiled, and then his face wore an expression of bemused frustration.
"For the life of me, I cannot remember why I was sealed, M'Lady... I do hope you will forgive me that transgression."

Draconayzia
User Image
"That's quite alright. Do you at least feel better now?" She carefully checked his face as he ate, making sure nothing had gone awry. She held the glass for him for when he was ready.

"If you feel strong enough and would like to, I could take you downstairs by the fireplace for a little while." Being by the fire with a warm blanket always helped her feel better. Then she remembered something he should probably know about. "I hope you'll forgive me if it offends, but I had to give you clothes after the seal was broken."

Arrikanez
User Image
He smiles softly up at her, and nods an affirmative to the questions, looking around to take in his surroundings and pretty much to try and figure out where he is.
"I feel strong enough to not be sleeping, if that is what you mean, M'Lady. But unfortunately, I do not think my legs are capable of holding me just yet."

Draconayzia
User Image
"Not a problem at all." Smiling she carefully lifted him so he was laying in her arms with the blanket over him. Making her way slowly down the hallway to the stairs to come into the main room.

A merry fire was burning brightly. She smiled again and moved around to set Nev'n on the couch ... to see the Hunt lying there. "Excuse me, but would you please budge up a bit at least? My young friend here needs a bit of warming by the fire." Hopefully he'd be in a cooperative mood.

Perri Indiya
User ImageThe Hunt obliged by doing a back handspring over the arm of the couch and then collapsing gracefully on the floor in front of the fire.

"Who's the new pet?"

Arrikanez
User Image
Nev'n watched the interesting individual show off for his rescuer. It was amusing to see young love in play. A jolt of memory reminded him that he has once been playful as such. He sighed lightly, and let himself sink into the warmth of the couch. It felt wonderful, and the fire was so intriguing that his eyes were drawn to it, watching it flicker with a semblance of life.

Draconayzia
User Image
"This is Nev'n. Now be nice." The last statement was made a bit harsher than she'd intended. Settling him into the velvet cushions she covered his legs with the blanket. Making sure he was comfortable she stood and made a small bow.

"Excuse me, I'll leave you to enjoy the fire while I get myself some tea from the kitchen. If you need anything just call out." Pardons made she walked into the kitchen and went about making a small pot of tea, humming softly to herself. Taking care of others might be tedious and pile up on the workload, but she liked being needed. Feeling wanted made all the trivialities of being reborn float away as she made sure those who needed her could depend on her.

Perri Indiya
User Image"Me? I'm always nice!" he called after her, turning to look at the new godlet.

"So... Nev'n? I'm Eamnonn, god of the Hunt. What do you do?

Arrikanez
User Image
Nev smiled briefly, and then his brows drew together in a serious expression.
"I'm afraid I don't recall my occupation at the moment, Eamnonn. I apologize. "
He sighed, and smiled again, looking at the fire, and back to Ea now and then.
"The God of the Hunt? An interesting occupation one might imagine."

Perri Indiya
User Image"It is, if you like running around and chasing after things, which I do." He glanced back at the kitchen door, getting a wonderful idea. If you'll excuse me for a moment? Duty calls."

Eamnonn hopped to his feet as he spoke, bowing cheekily.

Draconayzia
User Image
The tea had long since boiled, steeped and been poured. Wind was halfway through her cup, tiredness starting to catch up with her. Between the race and then carrying Nev'n she was fairly well earned of a rest.

After she got Nev'n back upstairs though, then she'd take a rest. She sipped away at the remaining tea, leaning against the counter as she allowed herself to calm.

Perri Indiya
User ImageThe Hunt slipped into the kitchen, finding a mug and filling it full of tea for himself. "And just how did he get so tired?"

Draconayzia
User Image
Polishing off her tea she set the mug in the sink. "He was sealed in a crystal statue for a fair amount of time. Speaking as one who did something similar I can say it's fairly taxing."

Stifling a yawn she quickly washed and dried the mug, moving to put it back in it's place.

Perri Indiya
User ImageEamnonn put down his mug on the counter and glided over to Beryl, pressing his chest to her back and skimming his fingertips lightly down her arms. "You must be sleepy, to miss my innuendo."

Draconayzia
User Image
Barely biting back a yelp she brought her arms down, trying to keep from getting 'cornered' again. The feathers on her wings fluffed out. "Would you please let me down."

She was pressed against the counter, which for one was uncomfortable, and secondly was making her a bit nervous. There wasn't really anywhere to go from where she was pinned.

Perri Indiya
User Image"So you can do what?" He pulled her hair aside, kissing her shoulder. Then leaned back, smoothing her wing feathers gently with his hands.

Draconayzia
User Image
Oh no, he was at it again.

Trying to supress shivers from the touch on her wings her hands grabbed the counter edge. Fighting to keep her thoughts clear she pushed against the counter, at least trying to get loose enough where it wasn't digging into her pelvis.

Perri Indiya
User ImageNoting that he was shoving her into the counter, the Hunt stepped back a little bit. No point in digging tile into someone you liked. His hands then went back to her wings, massaging and working their way towards the place where the feathers merged with flesh.

Draconayzia
User Image
Finally able to breathe properly again she took a deep breath. And then forgot to release it as Hunt's hands started wandering over her wings. Her eyes shut tight as she tried not to shiver, which was unsuccessful, hands clenching the counter's edge again.

Perri Indiya
User ImageGoodness, if she grabbed countertops just because of this... Eamnonn's thoughts strayed for a moment. She must be touched deprived. Yes, that's what he was thinking. Sure. Right. Yeah.

His hands reached her skin and lightly scraped their way down her spine.

Draconayzia
User Image
The breath she'd been holding released in a shaking hiss. Her hands clenched tighter. It was bad enough he had been working over her wings which were riddled with more nerves than any other part of her, but now down her back? She tried to control her breathing and not take it in ragged gasps, eyes shut tight as she concentrated as best she could. Her wings quivered behind her, feathers making a rustling sound like leaves in an autumn breeze.

Perri Indiya
User Image"The kitchen isn't really the place to get comfortable. And you have your charge. Pity. I suppose I'll just have to see you later then."

Eamnonn kissed Beryl's shoulder again and then left, sliding through the kitchen door and up the stairs to his room. Trouble had probably eaten all of his birds again.

Draconayzia
User Image
Finally released Beryl stood there, catching her breath. What in the hades had brought that on? She could only shake her head in wonder as she walked back out into the main room.

Seeing Nev'n asleep on the couch she covered him with his blanket. She couldn't help but smile a little at how peaceful he looked. Curling up on a nearby armchair she decided that this would be an acceptable place to sleep. Within minutes she was dozing away curled into herself as dreams played through her fancy.

Beryl sat in her favorite spot by the fire, looking through a few things she had gotten for herself while she'd been out with Merci. Some scanes of soft yarn, a few quils and other odd items that seemed too nice to pass up. She didn't usually give in to the temptation to by trivial things, but a small treat was fine.

Taking out a small hook she hummed softly, starting on one of the balls of fibre.

Arrikanez
User Image
Nev is a little unsteady today - having gotten violently ill last night for no apparent reason. His guess was that it was T'lai trying to merge into him more than was already occuring. Since he saw no reason to stop this, he allowed it, and went along with the side-effects with as little protest as possible. Already, there were starting to be some changes in his habits. Not many, but some key elements. He approached Beryl with the full intent of bowing to her - but was so dizzy that when he went to bend over, he fell face-forward, right into her lap. He quickly pulled himself out of that predicament and offered a sheepish smile.
"Apologies - That was not my fault, fair one."

Draconayzia
User Image
Beryl's eyes flew open before she laughed and gently helped him up on the couch next to her, scooting down to make room.

"No worries, I assume you're off balance because of your fusing, correct?"

Arrikanez
User Image
Nev smiled, and nodded at her question. He even LOOKED a little off-balance, and his pupils were not the same size. He brushed himself off, and lay back against the cushions of the couch with a sigh, and a slight cough.
"That's my guess. I don't know if it's correct, however."

Draconayzia
User Image
"It's quite alright. Draconayzia tended to collapse constantly during our fuse. Would some tea help?"

She put her crafting down and away, attempting to make the youth comfortable.

Arrikanez
User Image
He pondered the question for a moment, then nodded, reaching up to brush some offending hairs away from his eyes. He really did look very sickly.
"Tea would be splendid, as a matter of fact - Have you any Green Tea?"

Draconayzia
User Image
"Well I'll find out in just a moment now won't I?" Smiling she rose and went to the kitchen, returning a short while later with a steaming mug in her hands.

"Careful, it's hot but I did find the proper tea." She held the mug carefuly so that Nev'n wouldn't be able to burn himself when he lifted it.

Arrikanez
User Image
He almost beams. Green Tea is by far his favorite drink, and one he happens to be needing very much at the moment. He takes it greatfully, and sets it on the table to cool a bit.
"My thanks. Collapsing has indeed becoming a problem as of late - as has losing the contents of my stomach. It seems T'lai wishes me to be ill."

Draconayzia
User Image
Startled one hand moves unconciously to rest on his cheek. "Now why would he want to do that?"

Her touch was cool and light, almost so soft it wasn't there. Carefully she pushed some stray strands of hair from his face, looking at him with concern.

Arrikanez
User Image
He shakes his head, and shrugs, smiling at her, and lifting his own hand to touch hers. His skin is cold as ice.
"I don't know. Perhaps it is to teach me a lesson that I never learned."
He takes a sip of the tea, and sighs, steam billowing from the cup.
"Or perhaps for some reason I do not yet know."

Draconayzia
User Image
"Perhaps it will become more clear with time."

She did not like the palor or temperature of his skin. Walking over to the fire she sprea her wings above the blaze for a few minutes before walking back over. "You will please forgive me for this, but you need to get warm again or risk worse illness." That said she took a blanket and gently lifted Nev'n from the couch before seating him on her lap, wrapping her fire-warmed wings around him to get him warm quickly. The blanket she used to maintain that heat in his extremities as he held his mug.

Arrikanez
User Image
He calmly submitted to her ministrations, yawning a bit. He didn't feel very well, truth be told, so he was happy for a little relaxation. He leaned back against her, and half-closed his eyes. His skin was still like ice - and he may or may not have been coming down with a fever.

Draconayzia
User Image
Her hand went to rest against the youth's forehead, staying there lightly. She concentrated, voice taking a tone with more subtly, more power than she was known to speak with generally.

"Hear me T'lai. You will not gain anything be hurting your host. He will fall to you soon enough. Until then there is no need to weaken him, for in so you weaken yourself. These are the words I speak, as Lady Wind."

Arrikanez
User Image
There was a feeling of confusion - then anger - at the reply. Seems that T'lai wasn't doing this on purpose, and he was very upset that Beryl thought he was. He let her know that he wasn't - non-verbally - and cut off the contact. Nev'n was almost asleep at that time.

Draconayzia
User Image
She felt the snap and started. Another conclusion made in haste. "My apologies. I have seen too many hostile gods take over their hosts. I assumed wrongly."

She sifted Nev'n slightly on her lap, trying to make them both more comfortable as she tried to warm him. "Nev'n are you alright?"

Arrikanez
User Image
He sleepily half-replied to the question, and nodded his head. Some of the lavendar locks drifted over his face, and he reached up to push them away, with a small laugh.
"You're too kind, M'lady."

Draconayzia
User Image
Her hand lightly moved away the hair from his face. "I'm afraid I might have offended the god you host. My apologies."

She looked to the fire, an idea coming to mind. "Nev'n are you brave? Do you trust me?"

Arrikanez
User Image
Nev'n opened his eyes a little, and looked at Beryl, then smiled.
"M'lady - I'd trust you with my life."

Draconayzia
User Image
She gave him a gentle smile, placing a light hand over his eyes. "Then relax and let me help you get warm again."

She carefully picked him up in her arms, warpping her wings around them and stepped into the fire. The blaze warmed her wings and body turning her into a natural heating buffer between Nev'n and the flames. So long as she held him so he wouls not be hurt by the fire.

Arrikanez
User Image
Nev wasn't scared - wasn't even close. He surrendered his body's care to the beautiful nymph holding him aloft. He worried that perhaps she was being burned... but he so wanted to kiss her...

Draconayzia
User Image
She had stayed in the flames a fair while, gathering what heat she could, glowing slightly from the heat she had taken in and stepping from the fire, loosening her wings a bit so give Nev'n clean air.

"Are you warm now?" She was unscathed by the flames, having an immunity to temperatures. She had left the flames mostly in concern for her clothes. They were highly flame retardant, being Drac's to begin with, but there was really a limit to how well and long that would work.

Arrikanez
User Image
Nev sighs a little, and nods - quietly thinking to himself 'Yes, I'm wam, but you, M'lady, are hot.' The thought is quiet, and not at all audible, even to someone with powers realted to reading the mind.

Draconayzia
User Image
"Good, I was afraid you were far too cold before. Then again my own host had a slightly warped sense of warm and cold being a dragon half breed. Are you alright now? Can you walk or would you rather be back on your palet?"

He wings slowly uncurled, lossing heat bit by bit to the air. Her core temperature remained mostly warm though, not as willing to change as her extremities.

Arrikanez
User Image
Being carried by this lovely one was quite nice - but he didn't want her straining herself on his account.
"I can walk, M'lady.. Thank you for the heat and the tea. Much appreciated."

Draconayzia
User Image
"You're welcome." She carefully set him down so he could stand. taking a step back she stretched, wings fanning out fully, shedding a few feathers in the process before curling against her back again.

"Pardon me, but I needed that after so much heat. Otherwise my wings would cramp terribly."

Arrikanez
User Image
He was - of course - a male. And being one, it was hard not to let his eyes drift towards a part of Beryl's anatomy, that was nearly right in front of him. But he kept himself under control, and kept his eyes straight ahead.
"Are you going to bed, then?"

Draconayzia
User Image
"I think so. I've been awake much longer than I thought. Please excuse me." She gave a small bow-nod of acknowledgement and headed for the stairs.

Arrikanez
User Image
Nev followed her, because he had to to get to her room, part of which, he slept in as he didn't have his own room yet. To say his gaze didn't stray downward would be a lie.

Draconayzia
User Image
Reaching the room first, Wind gathered a few things including a screen, placing it infront of the archway to her private bath. Within a few mometns she had slipped into the warm water, relaxing and treating herself to a good soak.

Arrikanez
User Image
He tiptoed into the room, so as not to disturb her. He wasn't going to do what T'lai was suggesting deep inside his mind - but on the other hand, who was he to object? He tiptoed to the back of the screen, where Beryl couldn't very well see him. He looked over the screen, and stayed that way for, maybe five minutes, before hurrying quietly to his bed, and curling with his back to the screen. He had one of T'lai's typical smirks plastered across his face.

Draconayzia
User Image
Beryl finished shortly enough, coming from the bath damp and dressed in loose night clothes. Taking a few moments to towel her hair mostly dry she stretched out on her cushion, curling into the pillows and blankets. There was something so comforting about a clean bed aftera bath and a long day. She was asleep within moments.

Arrikanez
User Image
Nev waited until he was sure she was sound asleep before making his move. He quietly got up out of his own bed, and crept over to hers, standing there for a moment or two, and just watching her sleep. After a while, though - he heard T'lai suggest something in the back of his mind - Kiss her. Kiss her? Was he mad? The moment his lips touched, she'd wake up, and hit him - or ban him from ever seeing her again - but then again - if she didn't wake up. He leaned in close, and just watched. He'd kiss her - but later. A kiss stolen when the participant was asleep - was truly stolen. He was content just to stand over her, watching, hardly daring to breathe, lest she awaken.

Draconayzia

Breaths came in soft slow measures. She was sleping soundly. For once untroubled by nightmares or memories, simply letting herself drift from the day's exertions. She knew nothing of Nev'n standing over her.
