Keeper's Name: Pony
Desired Tsubasa I: Faer'fly/Uke
Desired Tsubasa II: Feathe'r/Uke

What is my home like?
My little patch of paradise (which, in actuality, is by no means little) dwells just a ways outside of Durem. The property itself is around 12 acres, meaning there's plenty of room for a Tsubasa to grow. The previous owners might have been farmers, but it seems as if they never got around to any real farming. Most of the land has been cleared of trees, save for the few larges oaks that stand proudly around the house and the patch of forest that has, over the years, outstretched it's limbs over my land. The rest of the land is what would have been crop fields, but I've let them grow loose, and they're covered in long grass and during spring and summer I'm often treated to a wide variety of wildflowers, pushing their way through tall grass.
But why, if I'm not a farmer, do I require so much space? Well, my name isn't Pony for nothing. I love horses and as such, desire to raise and keep my own. Now, I wouldn't be able to do this on a small patch of land. And as well as adoring horses, I enjoy the countryside more than and city or town. The air's fresher and it's a lot quieter and peaceful. Sure, it might mean a bit of a drive to get anywhere, but in the long run, it's well worth the effort.
This brings me to the stables. When I first moved to my home, there was only an old barn, the wood greying and even falling apart in a few places. However, with a few weeks of summer work and some paint, it's been restored to a very quaint looking building. It's white, with a plain wood trim around the doors. Inside there are about 16 roomy box stalls (Large enough for the horse to lie down and move about). I've knocked down the partition between the two end stalls on one side and created a little tack room, though at the moment there isn't much in it. There's also a ladder leading to the hayloft. Now, seeing as only my ninau resides in the barn there's little hay. So, I fixed up half of it into a sort of 'guest' room. It's quite liveable so long as you bring out a heater on chilly nights. The walls are painted a light blue, and there is a bed and chair and table. It's also proved to be nice when you need someplace to be alone.
As for my house itself, I'm quite fond of it. It's an old two-story farmhouse, with faded white siding and grey brick. Nothing fancy really, but it's home. Add a black shingle roof, dark wooden shutters and a nice white door with a circular glass window and you complete the house- Almost. With the help of friends and family, I built onto the existing front porch, and now it extends around three of the four sides of the house. I'm very proud of accomplishing it though. It was very hard work, almost as much as the barn, but it's great to have in the warmer months to relax on and bathe in the sun. During winter... Well, once I tried turning it into an ice rink that turned out to be rather... Interesting.
While the outside of the house has a pretty old, unkempt look about it, it's the exact opposite of the interior. You first walk into a short hallway, wooden stairs on the right and glass doors leading to the dining room on the left. The hall goes into the kitchen at the back of the house. The kitchen is moderately sized, containing only the necessities. I'm not much of a cook thusly nothing more is required of it. The kitchen is on the left side of the house and halfway across it changes into what I call our "rec room". Television, couch, book cabinet, and toys all inhabit this room. It's the largest room, stretching all the way to the front of the house.
Upstairs are the four bedrooms. The first is my room. Then on the right is Ikon's and across from it is Sheridan's. Across from my room is what I hope to be a Tsubasa's room. We also have a couple of bathrooms, but their only for doing 'business' and I don’t think detail is require don their part, besides the fact that they are kept very clean and are averagely sized.
One note though. All the floors in the house are hardwood. I prefer placing rugs about rather than having full carpeting. And a fence encompasses the whole property, keeping animals in, and strangers out.
At the moment I only have three other pets, Ikon, Quicksilver and Sheridan.
Ikon has been with me for a year and I love him very much. Really, he's such a sweetheart. He's very helpful around the house and I must say he's quite the little chef. I'm sure he'd get along with a Tsubasa famously. He's been hoping to get a new little ?brother? and even started a flower garden in his excitement.
Sheridan on the other hand, only joined us recently. He tends to be rather quiet but by no means is he unfriendly. I caught him playing a game with Ikon the other day, at which he abruptly blushed and excused himself from the room. It was (I'm a bit embarrassed to say) absolutely adorable. I'm sure he'll open up soon and perhaps another newcomer would help him get out of his shell.

Ah, Quicksilver. He certainly is quick. He enjoys leading me on wild chases when I try and bring him in at night and loves running through the field. It's rare to see him ever stand still. But as fast as he is, he's very affectionate and loves giving a good nuzzle to anyone he can find. He'd enjoy having another child around and I?m sure when he's big enough, Quicksilver would be good to teach the Tsubasa how to ride.
I'm hoping my to-be Tsubasa will be a fiery little guy, to liven up my life a bit. Judging from his bright colours, I think he'll be rather outgoing or at least have a cheery, happy-go-lucky disposition. Will he playful? Most certainly. I just can't see such a bright and cheerful looking egg turning out to be a morbid little ball of angst.
Seeing as Faer'fly are said to be mischievous, I'm thinking I'd better stash the valuables around my house. He might just be a little impish or he could be a whole lot. But it doesn't hurt to take precautions. The way he acts at home might also determine the way he acts around others. I'm going to try and introduce him to people as much as possible when he's little, so he gets used to being around them and is friendly and not afraid. I won't overdo it of course; he'd only be meeting other Tsubasa Keepers and close friends and family until he's old enough to handle the stress of more. Hopefully this will help his friendly attitude.
I don't think my Tsubasa would be particularly quiet seeing as orange and red are rather loud colours. I can only hope that loudness doesn't mean blasting rock music at 4am in the morning. But if he wants to do that? He can always use the loft. It would give him his space, and I could probably wire different things to it besides just electricity for the lights and heater.
I sincerely hope though, that my Tsubasa will be loving even if he is loud, mouthy and/or arrogant. Having those traits doesn't mean he can?t show affection.
I don't mean to sound self-centered or arrogant, but I think I'd make an awesome Tsubasa Keeper. Why? Well, let me list the reasons.
1. I'm a responsible individual.
Online and off, I've proven my responsibility. Online, I have two pets that I love dearly and am putting effort into finding them decent roleplaying partners. As well, I am a guest colourist for Shounen, and not only was I done ahead of the deadline, my shounen were of good quality and the new owners happy with them. Offline, I keep good grades and hold responsibility for a few real pets of my own. I have 3 dogs and a cat and I'm no stranger to good pet care.
2. I'm willing to put the time and effort into Keeping a Tsubasa.
Only school and a single riding lesson that gives me ample time to update the journal take up my weekdays everyday. Weekends are usually free as well, and even if I am going to be busy, I can usually squeeze in a few minutes to leave even just a quick note. As for effort, I love writing and roleplaying. This Tsubasa gives me the perfect opportunity to do so and take care of a lovely pet besides. I've already been stalking the minishop thread, looking for toys and other things my soon-to-be (I hope) Tsubasa might enjoy.

3. I need something to put my efforts into.
Like I said previously, I usually have a lot of time on my hands. And asides from my other pets, I have nothing to fill the void. A Tsubasa would be just the trick. I'm willing to put 110% into a Tsubasa, and I really hope I'll have the chance to do so.
4. I'm literate!
If that isn't a bonus, I don't know what is. Heh, I kid. But I am well versed in the English language, my English mark at the moment is a 99. I've made a few speeches over the years and I'm no stranger to writing, whether it's fiction or essays. Here are a few examples, to give you a taste of my abilities.
The boy smiles, nuzzling affectionately at him. "Well, I was reading a bit about it, and it said there were dandies, but as well later on, romantics. I wasn't quite able to figure out if the two styles were carried to a point of extreme or just simply different. I mean, was the clothing of all the dandies plain? They refered to George Bryan Brummel as being plain, almost perfectly so. Does this mean there was no room for creativity in dandyism as there was with the romantics? Of course I realize that plain, sharp wit would be most effective, but in clothing, I should think that certain extravagants or flairs would add to a sense of elegance. I can understand the idea of refined clothing and achieving perfection but did they admonish creativity? And was there any sense of uniqueness in different dandies' attire, or was it all rather uniform?" He halted, afraid he'd carried on too long. "I'm sorry, Father, if I have rambled too much or even misunderstood dandyism completely."
Ixion was nearly swamped in the crowd. His lack of height had proved to be much of a hindrance. The young man was constantly being stepped on or shoved about. But quite frankly, he could care less. Long grown used to the treatment, it came as no surprise. Dancing was to his enjoyment. But the music was rather loud for his tastes. He'd like far better to be at home, curled up in a chair and listening to sweet melodies of classical music. Or playing the piano, another passion of his.
...But he had a duty to keep. A friend had recommended the club and asked that at least Ixion could do was try it out. Ixion knew his friend cared little about the club and had only suggested such a place to shake him out of the silent reverie he'd grown into. Now however, after restraining himself from biting the next person who laid a finger on him, all he wanted to do was sink back into his own world. Ah well? He'd made a promise and he?d best keep it.
Doll meanders along, patchwork frame sewn in salt and pepper. Inquisitive disguise baits a glance, dimpled skull snaking to and fro. Kites flutter at sides, teetering over backside. Forthwith lady hastens, affording a simple look yet no touch. Streamers catch the wind, russet strands twisting and putting on exuberant air show. Heels dig grave, skittering femme into coffin of forsaking.
5. I am an artist.
Does that have anything to do with being a good Tsubasa Keeper? It's not a necessary element but it is helpful in keeping a pretty journal. One that makes people actually want to read it. As well, I can do art of my Tsubasa and other's. I'm not sure exactly how that might help but? Perhaps it would encourage people to be more active? Of course, I'd only be giving the art to those who'd shown an interest in their Tsubasa and an interest in meeting mine, even if the meeting doesn't er? 'work out'.
6. I love Tsubasa!
They're adorable, creative and affordable. What's not to like? And they seem to draw a rather pleasing crowd, people who actually care about the pets and thread. I would love to become a part of this crowd and do my best to make it worthwhile. And have people like me too, because it?s no good if I annoy everyone right? So I can remember my manners and tuck in my shirt, and do the best I can with my Tsubasa love.
P.S. Did I proclaim my love for Tsubasa and the orange little egg enough? I can do it more! *lovelovelove*

3 little ducks,
Went out one day,
Over the hill and far away.
Mother duck said,
"Quack, quack, quack, quack."
But only 2 little ducks came back.

Pony
I'm so excited, I've got bundles of energy! And I'm glad, because I've needed it. I've been fixing up Elli's room all day, making sure everything is just right for my little boy.
It hasn't been easy though. Elli's quite the little cling-on. Not that I mind of course, it's absolutely adorable having him follow me. But it does make doing things a bit difficult. I tried to amuse him earlier by putting headphones on his little shell, and playing a mixed CD. It has a little bit of everything on it because I'm not sure what kind of music he's going to like. This pleased him for the first little while. It wasn't too long, however before he found a song he didn't like, and started shaking. I nearly died! I was afraid something might be wrong, and rushed over to him.
But I guess he just really dislikes Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, because once the headphones were off, the little egg fluttered into my arms. And there he's stayed most of the day. Except for when I've needed both hands to do something (Like arranging furniture) during which he's sat on his bed. But I'll have to remind myself to keep him away from classical music. At least the slow moving stuff.
Now, though, he's taking a little nap. He looks so cute nestled in his little yellow and orange blanket. I'm not really sure if he's sleeping but the fact that he's stopped bouncing around makes me think that just maybe he is.. That and the little black Zs floating above the egg...
...Just kidding. But he is making little sighing sounds, barely audible through the shell. I've become so attached to him already. I think I might pull a sleeping bag into his room so I can make sure everything's okay. And I'd feel safer with him beside me anyways.
And now it's back to work for me, quietly so as not to disturb him.

Pony and Sheri were crouched in one corner of the 'playroom', working hard on something secret. Ikon sat on the couch with a bouncy little egg in his lap. He kept making noises at Elli's seeming delight, at certain sounds the egg would bounce and flutter up and down. Ikon was giggling at his reactions, and kept playing the game. The secret project was for Elli and they wanted to wait until he hatched to give it to him.
They'd been working on it for most of the evening, only stopping when Pony decided that Sheri needed a break and that he himself needed to coddle his 'baby'. He had become instantly fond of the new addition to the family, not even minding when the little egg, in his spastic exuberance, knocked over a glass. Glasses were replace-able, Elli was forever.
Finally, they called it a night. Tucking the surprise underneath a piece of canvas, they both stood and stretched. Pony headed immediately over to Ikon, smiling at his boy and Elli. Ikon returned the smile, giving the egg a little kiss before handing him over to Pony. Pony smiled, hugging the egg close. "Thanks for playin' with him, Ikon. I appreciate it. And now, little mister, it's time for you to go bed."
Cuddling Elli affectionately, Pony went upstairs to the Tsubasa's room. Planting a kiss on the top of his shell, he placed the egg in it's cradle, tucking him carefully under the blankets. Assured that he was comfy and warm, he reached up and turned on the mobile, which served as both a light and music box. It played soft music, guranteed to lull any baby to sleep. Elli wiggled a moment, before stilling in his bed, little wings folding. Giving his 'baby' one last pet, Pony straightened up. He was just about to go back downstairs when he noticed the little plush kitten, Tiger, slumped over on the floor. He picked it up and placed it carefully beside Elli, childishly asking the stuffed animal to watch his little precious.
Smiling now, he turned of the light and went downstairs to visit a bit with Ikon and Sheri before he too would turn in for the night. He was still sleeping in Elli's room, but he felt that he could spare some of his time to be with the rest of the family. Besides, he had that baby moniter safe in his pocket, so he could hear if he was needed.

Today
Elli learned:
-He can turn on the CD player if he bumps into the play button.
-If he flies too fast, he can't stop quickly.
-I'll let him get away with too much. whee

Ikon
Ikon reporting here... *stifles a giggle*
Pony's very busy, what with exams coming up and teachers cramming things in, so I've taken over things for today. I'm sure Pony would have rather have kept Elli with him all day, but I convinced him that it was unfair to keep the little guy cooped up like that. He loves him so much, it wasn't too hard to win the argument. He certainly wants what's best for his baby. *grins* Not that he doesn't love Sheri and I. Why, I was caught in a fit of cuddles by Pony the other day. He's very affectionate, just shows it in different ways sometimes. Like paying me for babysitting Elli, for example. I would've gladly done it for free.. But I think he feels the need to compensate for any little inconvenience he might cause us. Foolish, but you have to love him for being so thoughtful.
Anyways, on to Elli. He is such an imp! At least around me. I can't take my eyes off the egg or he's off zooming across the room. It's dangerous because well, he can't see and has no idea where he's going. It is fine if I'm sitting with him, because I can put pillows all around so it's almost impossible for him to hurt himself. But if I leave... He's either off again or getting into everything. I don't know how he did it, but he found the sugar bowl on the counter. He must have been instinctively drawn to it or something. But he sure managed to make a mess! Sugar was all over the place. If only it had been salt, I might have been able to coax Quicksilver, our ninau, into licking some of it up. He probably would have worked better than the vacuum.
But Elliott's so active, he tends to tire out every few hours. Thankfully, it allows me to get some things done, like cooking dinner. Pony got him a little basket, which we can move around so he can nap within eyesight.
Now, Elli the egg is only 3 days old, but he's a quick learner. Especially on what he likes and dislikes. He seems to be drawn to happy, bright music. I was watching some of Pony's Gravitation DVDs today, and the little guy fluttered right up to the screen at the opening theme. Now, he's not very coordinated but he tried to bounce along with the rhythm. I'm sure with practice, he'll get better. And I've no doubt that when he grows, he'll develop a fondness for dancing. I hope we'll be able to get him to like some classical stuff though, becuase such dancing can be very beautiful. I think it'd be a neat skill for him to have.
I'd better get going though, looks like Elli's up again and ready to play. Perhaps I'll try teaching him a game... If it's possible. I don't even know if he's listening to me have the time.

Enoh held a piece at an arms length away. It was a small square of paper, but it seemed to have a VERY detailed map on it, along with directions. You see, Enoh got lost easily, and she wasn't taking the chance of losing her way back home...after all, she did just move.
After a while, she took down the paper to view the house, wrinkling up her nose.
"This looks like the right address...ah well. We'll find out sooner or later, I guess!"
She walked up to the porch, setting down a tiny cage containing an orange mouse. On top of the cage was a small note from her, reading:

Hiya Pony!
I recently bought Van from Fishies and a Couple Mousies...and I asked Van if he wanted to give any of them to Elli...and he fluttered over this. So I can only assume he wanted to give Elli this as a present. Hope he enjoys!
From,
Enoh.
Remembering how cold it was, Enoh rang the door bell before running off. She didn't want the mousey to freeze. Well, that and she always did want to ring a doorbell, then run away. Kind of like that game, Nicky-Nicky-Nine-Doors. Only with a doorbell. Giggling a bit, she ran back towards her own home.
