How Nyxa met Olivia, and proceeded to take her home.
Linneas was upstairs taking a nap while Huni was in the Study, staring intently at the original Tome. It had opened all on its own, and Huni was waiting for words to appear.
Nyxa was in dire need of some stationary and a notebook for her Amaterasu, Zora, so naturally she wandered up to the shop she'd visited once before.
Creaking open the door, Nyxa peered inside what looked to be an empty shop. "Helloooo?"
The red head's ears perked up, but not because she heard Nyxa, but Linneas started crying. "Oh dear..." she murmured, looking warily at the Tome then outside. She nodded her head and headed to where her Tale was, noticing the other woman's arrival.
"Oh! Great timing, um, listen could you go inside the Study and watch the Tome for me?" Huni begged, "Thanks!" and without so much as waiting for a response, she sped up the stairs.
The seal around the Study was temporarily dissolved, allowing Nyxa entry.
Nyxa's eyes nearly crossed in confusion, but she slowly made her way to the study to watch the tome, whatever that was supposed to be. Warily she entered, her gaze snagging the book in question. Watch it for what? she wondered to herself, I never thought I'd be babysitting a book, of all things.
The Tome's pages trembled, as if they beckoned Nyxa to come closer.
Nyxa froze, watching the pages tremble as if they anticipated some great wonder. First thing she did, though, was look around for a draft, an open window, a fan. Nothing. So she moved closer, watching the Tome carefully just in case it wanted to jump up and bite her. What is going on here?
As the tome trembled, a fountain pen rolled out from between the pages. The moment the pen had exited the book, words began to appear on the paper...
What have you done?
Nyxa was very creeped out by this damn book and phantom pen. She was about to pick up and leave, but something drew her closer. Reaching for the pen with a slightly evil look on her face, she lifted her hand and began to write. She wasn't sure what posessed her, Nyxa wasn't usually one to go about and deface the property of others, but the book had asked her a question and she felt compelled to answer.
Oh, something crazy!
With a flourish she finished, setting the pen across the page and stumbling back from the Tome.
The instant Nyxa lifted the pen from the tome, the lights began to flicker on and off. And for a breif period, the lights in the entire shop died. Which resulted to Huni screaming upstairs.
Footsteps could be heard as the red head descended, carrying Linneas in her arms. She was muttering things that should never be said out loud in front of Linneas. As soon as she reached the first floor, the lights came back on.
"Huh, guess the wirings are still a little faulty. Wonder what happened to Nyxa?"
When the lights came on, the Tome was no longer the table. In its stead was a little baby girl. A mischievous glint in her eyes as she looked up at Nyxa.
Nyxa was baffled. "Huni. Huni?? HUNI?!" She scrambled backwards, eyeing the gorgeous baby swaddled in the technicolor blanket. "Huni, I swear, I didn't do anything wrong. Well, I wrote in the book, but that's it, I promise, then the lights flickered and next thing I know there's a baby on the table!!"
Huni stared at the infant on the table then at Nyxa. "You wrote in the tome?!" she gawked, "What did it ask you?" she continued, more interested in what the Tome had to say than Olivia's arrival. After all, she had seen this twice before, it wasn't that much of a surprise now.
Nyxa shrugged, wandering closer to the baby. Woooo, but she was cute. "It asked me, "What have you done?" I wrote, "Oh, something crazy!" I swear. This is one crazy shop you've got here! Books that make babies, wow." Nyxa turned back to Huni. "What do you do with all the babies?"
"I don't know, I've tried writing on the tome thing after I got Linny but the ink won't stick to the pages. Well, she's your responsibility now, I'm afraid." Huni chuckled.
Linneas rubbed his eyes, they itched after he cried. Why had he cried? He wasn't quite sure, it just involved something nasty and he didn't want to think about it right now. Instead he curiously peered at Nyxa and the baby in the colorful blanket.
"Hu?" he asked, pointing at them.
