Icing had been practicing flying in a straight line while his sprocket watched. Vee was emiting what it thinks is encouragement, although all it does was distract him.
The pink Dream had been fluttering from one chair to another, sometimes falling off when he landed. At some point, Icing was getting bored with just these two chairs. He wanted to be able to fly all around the house! That way he could get away from Vee and its annoying pulses.
He wished his mother would come home and coo and praise him. He liked it when his mother told him how handsome and elegant he was. Though Icing didn't quite know what elegant or handsome meant, he understood the pride and joy Huni was emitting. And in return he sent her his feelings of happiness.
The door opened, alerting the Dream of the arrival of his mother. She had said something about a deed, but Icing didn't understand what it was exactly. Still, he began to beat his wings and struggled to fly to his mother. Vee was trying to call Icing back, or draw attention to it, whichever seemed easier to do.
"Icing, honey, you'll never believe what happened!" Huni breathed excitedly. The Dream tilted his head, he was sensing not just his mother but someone else? In a crooked path, Icing flew to Huni's outstretched palm.
"Icing, meet Linneas." the red head introduced, moving her palm to the blue bundle in her arms. The Dream blinked and was surprised to find another human, a very small human sleeping.
"He's going to be living with us now, and we're going to move. You'll like it there, Syrie helped me clean it up and everything." Huni chattered.
Icing just stared in confusion at Huni, she was talking too fast and her emotions were shifting too rapidly. But eventually, once Huni calmed down, the Dream understood that they were leaving this house.
That bit of news didn't quite sadden Icing, he had only been born a week ago. Seven days of life outside his egg, not much has happened to him. Maybe the new place would be more fun? And maybe Vee wouldn't be there... he thought hopefully, eyeing the sprocket.
"Oh don't worry, Vee's coming along too." Huni smiled, misunderstanding the way the Dream was looking at Vee.
