Welcome to Gaia! ::

hey. i've been reading Robin McKinley books lately, and they are good. 3nodding
I love Robin McKinley's books! Particularly The Outlaw of Sherwood, The Hero and the Crown, and The Blue Sword. I believe I have also read Beauty as well.
Which ones have you read? I just finished Spindle's End, which was very, very well done.

I love McKinley's Damar novels and stories, and I really enjoy her retellings of various fairy tales. Her The Outlaws of Sherwood, though, is arguably my favorite. I have a soft spot for Robin Hood.
I have read here verison of fairy tales.
Beauty
Daughter of the Rose
Spindle End
one other book that was a colletion of short storys.
I love the fact that no one is the wicked anything.
I love Robin McKinley's books. The Blue Sword, The Hero and the Crown, Deerskin, The Door in the Hedge, Spindle's End, a couple others that I can't remember the title because I rented them from the library. And that's it. I tried The Outlaws of Sherwood, but I didn't get far before I decided that I didn't really like it. It didn't catch my attention. But I love all the other ones I've read.
i have read Rose Daughter and Spindle's End and i want to read all of her other books. I'm about to start on The Blue Sword.

The Blue Sword is wonderful, as is its prequel, The Hero and the Crown (which was written later, so it's all right if you read The Blue Sword first). If you liked Rose Daughter, you should give Beauty a try, which is her other retelling of "Beauty and the Beast." A Door in the Hedge and The Knot in the Grain are two short story collections which play on the theme of fairy tales. I've read the first several times, but haven't yet been able to track down the second (I found it on Amazon recently, I need to order it). Deerskin is another excellent retelling of a fairy tale, but it deals with some much harsher themes than her others, including incest. You might want to go into that one prepared.
I love Robin McKinley! My all-time favourite of hers has to be Spindle's End. I'm a softie for re-made fairytales. I also loved Beauty, but not as much.
I've read them. A friend of my from Michigan introduced me to the author. I loved the books....haven't stopped reading any of them either.
I've read Hero and the crown. I have spindle's end but I haven't read it yet.
Dude... the Hero and the Crown, and The Blue Sword are my favorites! i am too scared to read any of her fairy tail stories though...

Robin Mckinley is my favorite author! i've read almost all of her books, including some that she wrote for younger children. (What can I say, I'm very thorough!) Beauty: A Retelling of Beauty and the Beast is my favorite. I highly recommend her novels! Great reading to you all!

You gotta read that I had it for a year before I read it and it is my favorite by her.
my favorite is Deerskin although its a bit darker than her others. I also really really enjoyed her new book Sunshine. my friends and I are undecided, does anyone else think she might be writing a sequel to it?
