OKAY NO MORE STUIPD POINTLESS COMMENTS PEOPLE. EITHER YOU POST YOUR VIEW/POINT IN A COMPLETE THOUGHT AND NOT JUST TO SAY SHUT UP OR GO AWAY OR I DONT CARE I WANT REASONS WHY!!!!!

Governor Murkowski's reinstatement of aerial wolf hunting in Alaska means heightened slaughter in a state that already provides virtually no protection for wolves. Hunting and trapping have already annihilated more than 7,000 wolves between 1996 and 2002 - and possibly even twice that number if unreported harvests are accounted for. Nearly 7,500 wolves have been killed in just the past five years!
Land and shoot hunting, when hunters in airplanes chase wolves to the point of exhaustion and then shoot them when they are too tired to escape, threatens wolves even more. It is unconscionable that Alaska's government has assured the senseless and easy murder of perhaps thousands more wolves.
Land and shoot laws are an obvious move to mollify disgruntled hunting interests which claim wolves are reducing moose and
caribou herds. Never mind the facts, that larger prey species elude wolves up to 97 per cent of the time and that wolves, by removing the sick, weak, inferior and old members of their prey species, actually strengthen those gene pools.
This new, heightened slaughter of wolves via aerial methods is a sickening return to the senseless, barbaric practices begun in Alaska prior to statehood and continued thereafter, this time with Governor Murkowski's blessing. It is time for the governor to do the right thing - stop the slaughter.

To Whom It May Concern,
We were here first... but then you came along.You took our home, our food, our way of life. Slowly, we disappeared. But some still cared. they started to help up make a comback. They spoke up, spork their mind, and turned around what you started. But though their efforts paid off in the long run, you're still here... We didn't fight when you took over. We kept going the best we possibly could. You continue to take everything we have, yet you still want more. You greedy humans have it all, so do you really have to take our lives?
Too many of us? No, we were here first. We claimed this land before you. You fear us because we are 'vicious, killing beasts with a thirst for blood', but we've shared our lands with you without complaint for many generations. We fear you because YOU are vicious, greedy creatures with guns and traps that slowly bring us to our doom. what have you done to show us that you aren't all that bad? I see no clarity here- why do you want us dead when we've spent all these years giving you everything you wanted and asking for only a peaceful existance in return.
Sure, we may take a few of your livestock here and there. We can't help it. First, you trespass on OUR territory and scare OUR animals away. Face it, we have to eat too, so we do what we have too. We don't understand that they are YOURS. Everything here used to be ours- the land, the animals. You come along and take our land an dput your animals on it, and then kill us for doing only what comes natural. It's who we are. Don't take aim at us for needing food to survive. You con't see us killing you for taking our caribou and scaring the rabbits away, do you?

We do understand, however, that there are a few of you who still care. Ther are a few of you who still want us around. You understand us, not fear nor hate us. But those of you who care can't save us on your own. We can't fight for our right to live. We can't speak up for ourselves. We don't speak your languages and we don't understand why those manmade tools of yours are sent after us. We can't fight for our rights. We need you to speak up for us.
But you can only do that by uniting together. Take a stand. It's all I ask of you. Unite and join the fight. Speak up, speak your mind. Don't stay silent. what help will that be? We'll just slowly... die... off. Please. It's all we ask.

With in the next few days/weeks you will see an overload of wolf related work to my devi, collages of things I have made from photos found on the net, pomes, songs, hell even drawings if I get into the mood enough.
PLEASE DON'T let them Slaughter these animals. Would you want yourself to be slaughtered as well?
-I didn't type everything here alot of my firends and myself put in effort together to put this together as well as people we don't know whom put the Petition together. Please with your help we can and will save the wolves. Tell everyone you know!
