Attention ALL Owners, I have recently added us to the list for the forum wide battle tournament, and hope you all enter! It will be a fun competition with prizes, and much more. I, Puss have entered Bloody Red as an eliminator, so for those of you who join... I look foreward to fighting you! Happy sailing, and I hope to face you in the ring!


Red's rant...

Yes, if you be readin this ye be in the right place matey! Aye! Pirates! We be the scourge... We rape, we pillage, we plunder, an we loot! The bes part o' it is we cannae be stopped by any sort o law enfercement... Anyway I be Puss... Your Comodor, and the basic creater o this here shop... So sit back, an listen landlubbers!




Aye, I be rememberin the day I began to think of makein me own crew... Me heart was still that o a wee boys, an me head was filled with false images. I started me story on a boat called "The Miaden o' the Mist." She wer a fine vessel, and she held up good an right. Her lines drewn taught in teh wind, and her sails billowing in the briney air. I wern't an old salt as I be now, I were merely a boy, a Cabin boy, the lowest o the ranks o the pirates, yet I were an excellant swashbuckler, an me heart were as good as gold. That were soon to fade as I became more and more corrupt by me pirating ways. You could say I be evil, and I would nae force ye to take back the remark, but you may end up with a hole in your belly, and your guts being swabbed up by me cabin boy. As I have said... We Pirates are ruthless... a scourge, our mortal enemy being the law, and those who do good.

Story

The heavy gunfire erupted from the side of the large ship, painted black, crimson red sails bellying out in the strong salty wind. The captain of the ship, a red and black clad man, armed with two sabers, one at each hip, and a serious look on his face, waved one arm, signaling the gunners to fire again. The massive shells rained down on the Royal Navy flagship, ripping large chunks out of it, and spilling its cargo into the briney sea. The shop sank slowly, as the captain turned to his crew, removeing his hat, and pressing it over his heart. "To close mates...Ifn I e'r see us within range of that thar Royal Navy, Their long nines a pointin at us, Their large cannons will be the least of yer worries mates... I'll slit yer throughts meself if I see it again... I shant tolerate it a second time... Were 'possed tae be actin all steathy like... and ye just ruined that..." He turned back to the sinking ship, and removed his hat from his heart, walking back towards his quarters as the crewmen began to work again.



You wouldn't believe me if I told you that this was the first sight I saw after comeing to this strange world, nor did I believe it myself... Pirates... Navy ships... It had to bge a dream...it turns out... it wasn't. I was notorious for haveing an obsession with pirates... often dressing up like them... acting like them, and generally wishing I were one. Little did I know that that wish were about to come ture...I arrived on the deck of a black painted ship... the sun high in the sky, In mid step... I stopped dead in my tracks... what was going on here... where was I? Why did my hips feel weighed down... why were my clothes so different... I managed to enter the captain's chambers, and gazed in the mirror only to see a Pirate stareing back at me. I jumped slightly, and relled back from the mirror, the blades at my hipos knocking on the desk behind me. I felt my face, it had a scar on it... and an eyepatch? But I could see perfectly... both eyes seemed to be working properly... then why did the eyepatch not restrict vision? I stepped back up to the mirror, and lifted the eyepatch. I held myself back as I saw the gory hole that remained there, all but the skin at the back severely scarred... and when I had lifted the patch my vision for my eye had vanished... I dropped the patch back down... my vision instantly returning... What was going on... Why... why was I a pirate... How was I going to explain this to my parents...



It would turn out that I had became Bloody Red... A notorious navy killer, and hater of all things good... He had wanted his way, and was ruthless about getting it... I had found a journal this man had kept... revealing to me the many many things he had done, and all of the days of his life in detail... I quickly realized that not only had I become this man... but I retained the man's talent with a sword... And his cunning... I felt weird all of the sudden... as if I were this man all along... and so I decided I would become him... I would be Bloody Red...A Pirtate... and I would get help from my friends back in the world of gaia... This was going to be fun...






Description of Nimhai

The world of Nimhai, a water world, covered with an endless blue abyss, and few islands to be seen. This world is much like the old Pirating days here on Earth, though it is much more ruthless, and highly technilogicly advanced, their own weaponry matching that of ours... The main mode of transportation there being boat. Though they have passed the use of sail many ships still bear it out of tradition. The use of large engines which run on purified water. The Ships of Nimhai are much like our own, metals crafted together, and huge guns mounted on them. They are able to speed through the waters at incredible speeds, and there have even been rumors of ships which are able to submerge, much like our submarines, and even rumors of new races being discovered in the waters, and soaring the skies. The weaponry of Nimhai is as advanced as ours, though they use their guns on their ships they have still not gone to guns for hand to hand combat, preferring swords, axes, maces, hammers, and even spears as their weapons.


The Major factions on this Blue sphere would be the Northern Royal Legion, which were in control of the entire northern hemisphere, and known throughout the world as those who uphold the law. The second faction is that of the Southern Alliance, a Pirating community consisting of the Briggands, the Murderers, and all the non-law abideing inhabitants of this ocean-filled world. The Northern Royal is backed by the Royal navy, a huge armada of floating ships, and a controller of over half of the Northern Royal Legion. The Navy patrol the waters of Nimhai, and are notorious for challenging the pirates, and testing their boundries with their massive destroyer ships.


The races of Nimhai are mostly humanoid in shape. The most common race on Nimhai are the humans, which are the most diverse race there. They range from all colors of skin, and all backgrounds. The Humans are the most agressive of the races, and are known for their inventions, and their love of war. The Northern Royal Legion's humans wear naval style uniforms, or clothes more dignified, and less ratty. The Southern Alliance's Humans are often seen wearing clothes closely resembling pirates clothing, and often seen wearing ratty, and tattered clothing. The second most common race among the ranks of Nimhai are the Urd, These are the aquatic people who live beneath the waves. they are rumored to have created undreground cities, and often salvage sunken ships, and save drowning people. The Urd are humanoid in shape, but posess a ranged color of scaley, slimey skin, and have webbed fingers, and toes. They posess gills, and are often seen with clothes on, much like wetsuits of today. These Aquatic creatures have been known to leave the water, and sometimes ally with either side of the ongoing war. The third race of Nimhai is that of the Urd. The Urd are brutish rock covered giants who are known not only for their agressiveness, but their crafting of fine weapons. The Urd often live on the islands, high on mountains, and even within active volcanoes. Their rockey exterior provides them with resistance to heat, and their shape is also like that of a human, though they have larger shoulder widths, more chiseled jaws, and bulkey, heavy features. The Urd, though known as a viscious combatant are not to bright, and can be easily tricked. They often do not side with the war mongering races, and are often left alone. They live in large groups, sometimes reaching hundreds of members, and are known for eating rocks, dirt, and anything green. They wear metals of all sorts, heavy armor, and often have large weapons strapped to them in various places. The fourth and final race of Nimhai are the fleetest, and least often seen. They are the Verdandi, the people of the sky. the Verdandi are known best for their birdlike features, and the wings which sprouted from their backs. They soar high above the seas, and often are the mail carriers for the islands. They are the fastest of the races, and are often much like the Urd, and do not pick a side in the war. They often wear the sleekest of clothing, form fitting and often in wild colors. they are also human in shape, and are often marked with tribal tattooes. Every Verdandi carries a mail bag with them at all times, and are known to hide various traps, and weapons within. They are the only race who has gone to useing guns for their weapons, and are known as fierce gun fighters.




General rantings

Muhahahahaha... this be where I store me infinate pockets o' knowledge... there may be quotes put 'ere, there may be previes... I jus know there won't be anythin from them Royal Navy...

Rules


1.Don't Pm me or EvilGummy, unless it is absolutely needed, or if you are going away for a long period of time. If you are gone for a week, just tell me the reason later, when you get back... but it better be a damn good one!

2.Don't beg for a pet... we make them as we go, so if there are none for sale at the exact time be patient, were probibly still working on things for the shop.

3.Do not flame anyone, any people caught flaming anyone else here will be Greylisted, and on further offences will be blacklisted.

4.You may only own two pets, and one baby, which has to be bred from one of your two pets, unless I decide your allow more later, Twins only count as one, since they have only one cert.

5. Anyone caught online while they told me they were going to be gone, and away from a computer, and have not told me they were able to access a computer will be greylisted! This was only made to stop people from lieing to me, and saying they would be gone for a month, just to get out of rping their pet. Also if you are gone longer then you said I will hold your pet, until you tell me you are back, and have a decent explaination why. I know this seems un-fair, but yet again I hate being lied to. If your reason is, I didn't feel like comeing to rp I won't accept it. you could have come, and told me you were back, but didn't want to rp. And anyone back from a vacation is still supposed to post on the rp, or in their journal once every two weeks. I really hate takeing away people's pets, its just so mean... but I'll do it.

6.If there are no sales... don't ask for one... I can honeslty understand if you don't understand that customs will be a large amount to discourage people from buying them, but you can't expect to come in here, and be able to buy a custom right off... unless your friggin rich...

7. Do not, I repeat, do not hastle us about your pet not being finished. Some of us DO have school, and a life outside of Gaia, so just because we are here doesn't mean were here to bow before you, and bend to your every whim... we need breaks sometime too...

8. I will host everyone's pets on my own, and so therefore you may save them to your own hosting place. If you do so please tell me, so I may take it off of mine, as bandwidth only goes so far...

9. I would very much enjoy everyone not asking for their pet to grow, it gets annoying, so don't ask. They grow through rp... and that is the only way for them to grow... so either rp, or give the pet back...

10. Yes, I know there are alot of rules, but you must obey them, also you must obey Bloody Red, and Land Ho', they are the masters of you all... they own your a**... do what they say, or we may exact punishment on you...





F.A.Q.



Q:So... What are these... Pirates?
A:If you have to ask this it is obvious you did not read the story... read it, and maby you'll understand...Also... if you don't know what a pirate is... thats sad...

Q:I read the story, but what are Skuld... and Urd... and Verdandi?... whatever...?
A:They ARE the Pirates... Well they are three of the four races of the world... Humans being the only other... they are also the three godesses of fate... but lets not get into that...

Q:Cool! Will they be customizable?
A:Yes, the select few will be, Fully-costoms will go in auctions, or if I like a pet at your shop with a pet trade...They could also go to those good rpers who I like lots. One semi-custom will go into every Flatsale, where you may pick the race, and gender of your pet if you win.

Q:So are these pets Rp-intensive?
A:Yes, but we only require you to rp once every 2 weeks, and post in your journal atleast once a week.

Q biggrin o they have journals? And if so do I have to use it?
A:Yes, they do have journals, and we would very much like if you would use it once every week.

Q:If we arn't active what are the concequinces?
A:If you are gone for an excessive amount of time, without explaination it may result in the takeing away of your pet, and re-selling it without a refund...

Q:But what if there is a family emergency, forceing me to not reply for those days?
A:After i take it away I will keep it for awhile, probibly 2 weeks before I re-sell it

Q:If it is taken away do we get a refund?
A:No... and if you complain I'll blacklist you. Atleast with getting it taken away you still have a chance to get it back, wheras if you are blacklisted you have an icecube's chance in hell of getting it back.

Q:An Icecube? Well anyway is there any way to bribe you into giving me one? or any way to get one for free?
A:The only way to bribe me into giving you one would be a hefty sum of money... the only way to win one is in an auction, flatsale, questsale, raffle, or umm... rp contest. You can however get a custom one for a fee later announced. The only way to get a free one is to be highly active in the rp, have a friend who owns one, and pays for breeding, pettrade(Only if I, or EvilGummy like the pet), or as a Gift from me, which will only happen to those I truely love, and adore here on gaia.

Q:Are there ANY other ways to get one becides the above listed things? I REALLY REALLY REALLY want one!!!
A:Yes... donate excessive amounts of money to the shop, or make some really really good fanart if I have a contest, or become staff...

Q:Cool! can I be on the staff? I've got mad skills at (Insert random thing here...)
A:Sorry... we may not be accepting staff at the moment, if you truely wish to be a staff member please send me some samples of your work, and I'll get back to you, Only thing that is quite possible to be on staff for is lineart, which a slot will open for later, if the shop becomes a big success.

Q:I'm a friend of so-and-so, and they said you would give me one, but I'm poor, and I need money, and I've got no pets, and they said they were breeding, could you give me one of their babies?
A:First...tough... everyone is poor at one point or another... I'm poor right as I'm writing this... I am not really in this for the money... its the fun I want, second you'll have to tell them to tell me that they are GIVING you one of the babies. They will have to tell me, in a PM that they are truely giving you one, and if I find out that you are lieing about someone saying you could have one of their babies you will be on the greylist.

Q:How many babies do they have?
A:Truely depends on how active you are in the rp. Minimum is 1, max is 3, unless you get some sort of ultra rare, super special thing from the artist giving you quadruplets... that would be a pain though...anyway yeah... the usual person will get 2 the highly active rper will get three.

Q:If our pets breed do we have right to sell them?
A:You may sell them, well... tell me, and I'll sell them, and send you the gold, if it goes over the price for a flatsale child though we get 100% of the extra. So if the flatsale price is 10k and it goes to 11k we get the extra 1k. It is only fair this way... we really do work hard for you, trying to make these pets great.

Q biggrin o the kids get their parent's special powers? if their parents have any that is.
A razz ossibly... I will cover that in the breeding section later...

A:There may be, depending on which item me or my artist happen to be questing for. The pure gold auto will be atleast 5 times as much as the starting bid.

Q:I'm poor, but I've got this, and this, and this... will you take them for a really hgih amount?
A:Sorry, but we only accept rares, donation letters, and donation items at Mid-G.E.N. value.

Q:Since your my best friend can you reserve this for me? I'll give you all the money later!
A:No... there will be no reserving, you have to bid just like everyone else...Good luck...

Q:I'm EvilGummy's best friend, and she told me to tell you to let me win this auction for a low price... so do it!
A:Your not my boss, but if EvilGummy wants you to have one she can make a custom for you... shes the lineartist afterall... Anything that is up for auction remains up for auction, no matter who wants it... be it the artist... Me, my best friends, the artist's best friends, or even God himself, anything that is up for auction will be auctioned... and anything that gets no bids in the auction will be either raffled off, given as a gift to someone, put in the next flatsale, or owned by one of us owners.

Q:Hey man! I've got all of this stuff on my other character, but it'll take about a month to get it, can I bid it anyway?
A:No... if it will take you a month to get the money, or gold you can't bid. You must have atleastthe amount of your bid, or items that are of larger value as colattoral, and we'll hold them until you give us the money...

Q:What! why didn't I get the pet, I won the auction, and sent the trade!
A:As I stated above you MUST have ALL of your total bid, in either pure or items, or an item of greater value to be used as colattoral... if you don't send half your total bid in your trade it will go to the next highest bidder... sorry... I just don't like being cheated...if you can't fit all the items you use as payment on one trade I will understand a second trade, but you must PM me telling me that there is more on the way.

Q:I allready own two, but can I bid for a friend?
A:No... no owners may bid, even for a friend... even my very favorite rpers arn't allowed to bid after they have two. I'm sorry... the only way to get another for you, or a friend is to breed, or get a custom ticket from either me, or EvilGummy, and trust me... that is a very rare occurance.

Q:Can we use our own pets as payment for the auction?
A:No... sorry... if you want one, you can just offer me a pet trade, and a link to your shop. If you like the perticular one being auctioned you must bid for it...Any pet trade pets are custom, so if you like the color scheme or model for the auctioned one just ask for something similar...No two pets are alike... unless they are twins... but twins only count as one pet...




Auction rules


1. No autoing within the first 2 hours of the auction... sorry... you'll have to wait all your high rollers...

2. No getting mad if you loose... remember its just a pet...you'll have many more chances...

3. No begging, or trying to get others to not vote because of pity... anyone seen doing this will be kicked out... I don't like it when people do this.

4. Be nice to everyone... or else!

5. No snipeing. pure and simple. You must show interest, and bid in the auction atleast 1 hour in advanced...

6.If the bids get within 10k of the auto the auto will be turned off... this makes for some healthy competition... and makes it fair... It also makes it so that if it goes over the underdog can't just auto, and win...

7. In order to be eligable to bid within the last hour of the auction you must have show interest, or bid atleast once during the day before... this doesn't mean you can bid at 11:59, and be qualified... anyone who does that is not allowed to bid anymore.

8.Obey the owners... which would be EvilGummy, and I... anyone who doesn't obey us will be disqualified.

9. No bitching about the rules... this is a direct order, and comes from me... one of the owners... see the rule above incase you have an objection to this rule...See the rule above...

Flatsale F.A.Q.


Q:How much do they cost?
A:10k I believe this is resionable for the flatsale, as they are new, but they are completly thought up by me(Puss) and drawn, colored, and certed by EvilGummy.

Q:When will it start? I'm ready to win!
A:It will start with my Go! post... atcwhich time you will have to answer a question, or roleplay for me, maby even write a story.

Q:Will it be a hard question?
A:No... its really just there to make sure you read through the front page before participating...

Q:If we can't roleplay what do we do?
A:Leave... these pets are rp heavy... they need to be rped often, and effectively to grow...

Q:What if someone's story is the same as mine?
A:Write a new one... the first person to post a story of a certain type is claiming the story... Also if they enter a second one their first is automaticly void, but then you still can't steal it...

Q:If we win the Flatsale do we have to pay you right off?
A:Yes, it is possible to get on a payment plan though... depends on how nice you are to me.

Q:Can I try for multiple pets in the flatsale?
A:Yes, but you are only allowed to try for 2... you can't try for a third for your friend... they will have to be just like everyone else, and try for themselves.

Q:Can we withdrawl out entries? or get a refund?
A:Yes, you may withdraw your entries... but if you withdraw 1, and you have 2 entries both will be withdrawn... if you try for two you are stayin for two... if you win you are expected to pay for both, or you can tell me, and I'll give it to the next best entry. Refunds are negotiable, but only if you ask us. You cannot re-sell your pet, or give it to anyone....




Flatsale rules


1. I, as the owner reserve my right to never be wrong... Do not argue with me over something, because I may bann you from the flatsale. You may however calmly, and politely point something out that is wrong, but never question my judgement on things reguarding the pets...

2. Incase I am wrong... ever... please refer to rule 1...

3. Do not flame anyone in this contest, or act as if your entry is better then anothers... even if it is... we treat all equally... so if you treat them bad... we'll treat you bad...

4. Payment plans are negotiable... but I preferr the money upfront.

5. Do not... I repeat... do not yell at us if you loose... if we didn't like your entry don't get all pissy about it... theres always next time. Anyone seen yelling at my artist, or another member because they lost will go on the greylist, and be banned from the next flastale, and the next two auctions.

6. Current owners may enter, only if they own one pet... current owners may not enter for their friends... I will have owner only flatsales, auctions, and raffles just for you guys...

7. Everyone is to be treated equally, so if I see anyone harassing, or makeing fun of anyone here I will make fun of them... if they make fun of me back, or start a flame war they will be put on the blacklist... You WILL respect mah authortah!

Humans

The humans Are the most common, and are the average people, able to do many things. Humans have the most potential, and are constantly at war.


Examples:


(Insert Image here) Preteen: Preeteens ar ethe basic starters for our stories. They are the cabin boys, the swabbies. They are the starters merely because there is no room for babies onboard a pirate ship. Many preteens dream of becomeing captains, sailing their own ships, and commanding. Others dream of becomeing viscious pirates, pillaging, plundering, and looting as they please. Many Preteens allreadsy lean towards their dreams, and often show it by the clothes they wear.



(Insert Image here) Teenagers: Troubled, hormones rageing, moods changing often. The Teenagers have allready worked their way into their chosen path, and are allready established in their ways. Pirates will begin to look more money hungry, Roayl Navy teens will become more noble looking.


(Insert Image here) Adult: Well established in their line of duty, and allready out at sea, and battling for their rights. Pirates become crewmen, or captains at this age, and possibly even commodores. As do Navy Adults. Many adults are merely crewmen, but afew manage to secure their own ships, and start out on their own.


(Insert Image here) Elder: Masters of their trade. They looka abit grey, yet they still have plenty of life in them. Many are masters of sailing, or commanding by now, and a select few have the ability to become presidant. Elders are wise, though that always has came with age. Many elders look young, as their inner youth keeps them that way. Only by feeling old do those that are old become old...



Skuld



(Insert Image here) Preteen: As all preteens are this is the beginner stage of the skuld. The newly arrived fish person will be learning how to swim, and learning everything they can about mapping the seas. Who knows... many may even go and join the war on the topside.

By now they are adept swimmers, and have the ability to fully maneuver in water. They are infamous for being moody, and thinking they know everything.































(Insert Image here) Adult: Finally! out of that mess they call the teenage years. The adult is more responsable, and has by now chosen their path, the topside, or the depths of the ocean. Many Adults become Hunters now, and provide food for the villages.


(Insert Image here) Elder: Elders... they are the leaders of the village... there are afe elders adept enough to lead the villages, and only one who can claim the title of Posideon...




Urd



(Insert Image here) Preteen: Newly born from the earth the Urd preferr to sleep, and eat rocks. They are overly agressive, and brutish beings. They are notorious for takeing down grown humans, even in the preteen stage.


(Insert Image here) Teen: Hormones rage on, makeing these Urd the most likely to kill people. they are severely moody, and even the slightest hint of a bad look cans end them into a frenzy. They are often keeping to themselves, and have either joined a crew, or have joined a tribe of other Urd.


(Insert Image here) Adult: The adults are those who protect the tribes, and often lead the tribes. They are the brutes, and are massive in size, often standing atleast six to seven feet tall.


(Insert Image here) Elder: The elders are giants among the Urd. They stand taller then any other, and are known for their severe brute strength. Many become tribal leaders, and Alphas of packs.

(Insert Image here) Preteens: Calmest of all preteens they have allready established themselves in the mail rooms of the vendandi, or on massive ships, where they aid in gunfire.


(Insert Image here) Teens: Fierce gun combatants by now only those who are masters of the fighting art can hold up against them. They have allready swayed towards their chosen path, and many of them Join the ranks of the Pirates


(Insert Image here) Adults: By now they are masters of ranged combat, and can soar through the skies freely. They are often long range delivery men, or women, and carry the heaviest of loads.


(Insert Image here) Elder: Elders of the vendandi are the masters of flight. They have honew their skills, and have become the global delivery service, flying around the world in the time it takes an Adult to deliver half way around the world. They are masters of their forms of combat, and the mail, and carry the largest guns of all.

Islands


The islands of Nimhai are all spread out, though the planet is rather small it is haloed by a large ring, which marks the equator, and shows the hemispheres. The equator is often represented on the water by a shadow, caused by a large solid mass that formed the ring. The islands are named off from largest to smallest, and will be listed with their main inhabitants.

1. Sorka-Humans-Northern Royal Legion

Sorka, the largest of the islands is about the size of New York, and is home to the major fleet for the Royal Navy. This place is a hub for all sorts of people, and is often the busiest island of them all.

2. Windraid-Humans-Southern Alliance

Like Sorka it is the main base for the Southern Alliance's pirates. It is just a little bit smaller then Sorka, and is home to the most ruthless of pirates, and several crime syndicates.

3. Aougard-Verdandi-Netiher

This is the main home for the Verdandi, and their main base for the mail service. All true Verdandi are born here, and this island is lush with jungle, and trees.

4. Rockholm-Urd-Neither

Rock holm is the main home of all Urd, and is half covered with a massive volcano.

5. Liviathan's gate- Skuld-Neither

Known as the major root town for the Urd. This city was built in the cener of all the oceanic currents, and is the only explored city of the Skuld.


The rest of the islands are all mostly un-charted, and inhabited by various humans, and the Urd. These islands are minor, and are mostly obscure.

As you can tell customs are... well, juist that, customs. They are in-fact FULLY custom, which means you can think of ANYTHING under the sun, and EG will probibly be able to draw it... this means you can create a race, you can make your own ranks for said race, different ages... doesn't matter! You make it, we'll get it created here, and then you're off to rp! This also means you may have your own ship, and crew!



Customs

Customs are a very rare sight... as they have only four ways to get them. The first would be loads of money... the second way would be through a pet trade. All pet trade pets are custom, and are expected to be costom the other way around also. The third way would be to be an excellant rper, and a current owner. either I or the artist will hand you a special custom ticket... this is a rare occurance, and is not to be taken lightly...

Customs will cost over 200k, and maby more if I become swamped with orders for them.,

Pirate pets! they are the adoreable little things that the pirates own, and love. Many pirates have the chance to own one, and it Is quite possible for a non- owner to own one, but there will be a limit to those we give out to non-owners.


Now to the details.


All pirate pets are created, and drawn by our very own EvilGummy, and are semi customiseable. Meaning you will be able to pick color, its name, and what it is. Depending on the difficulty of the pet It may cost more or less.


All non-owner pirate pets will be semi-custom, in which you will get to choose the things stated below, and which type you would want from the list below. They will come with a little cert, and be added to your pirate later, if you wish to do so.
